We really enjoyed our stay at the Melbourne Lodge. It is in a good location which is walkable to the main area of Queenstown. Vineeth who works there was very helpful and accommodating. There is enough parking on site, even when we visited and there were roadworks on the street. There is a nice common lounge area and kitchen which was always very empty, which was nice and made us feel like we had the place to ourselves. Was lovely sitting at the outside dining area and watching the sun set!

The shower is very temperamental - hard to find the right temperature, often will go freezing cold/boiling hot, unsure if related to when other people are using water or doing laundry within the accommodation? Bathrooms are otherwise fine

Very satisfied with our stay, the staff were lovely and so accomodating, they have a lovely lounge area that has good amenities which really helped our stay. We were able to use the lounge and store our bags prior to our room being available and after our checkout which was very nice and really helped us and made our holiday a lot more relaxed. Wifi, comfy couches and a TV available with like minded people travelling from all parts of the world which were friendly and able to stay in harmony in this homey lodge which still had a hotel feel. Would love to stay again and highly recommend

Great location, walk to town advisable as parking in QTown proper is very difficult nearly impossible. On the way home it is a little up hill, the property directly opposite the lodge has a lovely bar and restaurant if you do not want to go far. Or Holiday Inn is close too. Easy drive 5km out to 5 Mile shopping centre at Frankton for groceries and restaurants. Laundry facilities at the lodge, parking front and back. Lovely mountain view from window.

Expensive, but that's Queenstown, all accommodation is expensive.

Location was great and the view from my room was great. The shower was amazing. The man on the counter was brilliant and needs a pay rise, his service was amazing. Better than the Google reviews I read for this place. It's tidy.

A notice saying the fridge gets cleared on Friday. The shower window needs a clean and the grout. Also better vacuum cleaner. I saw a staff member using it and when he had finished it didn't look like it had been done. Even though I saw him clean with my own eyes.

Great location, away from the noise of the centre but within easy walking distance of everything. Great on site parking. Nice room with a good bathroom, although the shower door leaked if you were not careful. Comfortable bed. Quiet at night.

A minor point but the room had single glazed windows so they were running with condensation one of the days we were there when it was cold and wet.

The room was spacious for two friends traveling together with a lovely private patio right outside the room. The staff were excellent and friendly. They even couriered something left behind to our hotel in Christchurch. The location is perfect if you want to be near but outside the CBD, which was just a short distance away down the hill (albeit a bit steep on the way back. There was also a lovely shared meeting room with a beautiful view of the lake.

Everything was lovely.

Well-lit room with balcony in living area, private and didn't have to share with other rooms. Comfy and clean beds as well as recently done bathroom. Our room also was next to a cherry tree that we had freedom to pick and eat the fruit

The area is nearby flats with working holidayers, so on the weekend you can hear a bit of noise from the street at night. If you are older or not as fit the walk up the hill from town is a bit much. the only AC is in the living area however they did give us one extra fan.

Comfy bed and pillow., Good location, but on the high side of town. Friendly staff. Good guest lounge with full sky channels and cooking facilities. Balcony with mountain view.

The hotel is in need of refurbishment, parts of carpet was threadbare. Very poor room security, only a simple button key lock on room door, which had already been busted prior. Single pane glass windows encourages moisture inside and no security stays, which a child could fall from. No towel rack or shower door. Low pressure hot water. Some tv channels missing. No adv electric blanket.

Staff were helpful and friendly. Had requested 2 single beds which had been done. Was a comfortable bed, next time we will look at getting a bigger room as we are tall people so for us wasn't exactly ideal, but was only for one night, otherwise beds were comfortable to sleep on. Parking available. Easy walk into town. Would stay again.

Not the motels issue. Road works on the road motel is on were frustrating especially if you have a lowered vehicle. Again not the motels issue just annoying for those staying. Also if you get a studio room and request 2 single beds be

Room was very comfortable and staff were great. Location is an easy walk to town (less easy on the way home but that's Queenstown for you), also super convenient for buses around town and surrounding areas.

Not a fan of the sheet metal stored on our balcony but I didn't raise it at the time as our kids were older and it wasn't a hazard. If I'd had younger kids I'd have asked for it to be removed. All else was fantastic though.
