the room was very comfy, the breakfast was nice, the location was very good. The hotel and the room were very clean, the staff were very helpful and accommodating.

the gym was very, very far from anything I would call 'a gym". It is just a small room with few cardio machines. Please don't advertise that you have a gym, or upgrade the facility so it has enough equipment to resemble a proper gym. I would also introduce some variation to the breakfast served, as after a couple of days I had had enough of the English breakfast.

Our stay at the IHG was really comfortable, affordable for a family of four and the staff made us feel very welcome not only when we arrived, but throughout our stay. To name a few, Melissa and Tama, as well as the rest of the lovely staff, were exceptional, courteous, and always willing to assist us with anything we needed. The restaurant meals were excellent. The Hot Buffet Breakfast was amazing and consistently delicious. It was constantly filled up. Most importantly, we felt very privileged to have the restaurant staff pack our breakfast for us in the early morning before travelling to Milford Sound. The hotel was always spotlessly clean, owing to the superb housekeeping team. I definitely recommend this hotel to every one of my family and friends.

I could not fault anything wrong with the Holiday Inn Express & Suites. I'd highly recommend it to all of my friends and family. We can't wait to be back.

The main lounge area / reception / bar / breakfast open seating - all of this creates a wonderful vibe that I haven’t felt in any other hotel in all these years of my travel. That, clubbed with one of the best staffs of any hotel, was just the needed cherry on the top! Special shoutouts to Paras the duty manager, Sarah, Tami, Yon, and the chefs for being so friendly and helpful always going above and beyond! We had an amazing time, and would love to stay again and meet the same wonderful people. Few more things to note: - it’s a great location - multiple fireplace seatings - gym and sauna are 24/7 and very clean and nice - rooms are quite spacious - car parking is available at a per-day rate - the staff is amazing (=D)

I’d like for it to be a bit less pricey, and also for the breakfast to be until 12pm (but again, don’t we want this for every stay haha)

Great check in, allowed us into room early. Excellent location and great setting with modern finish. Breakfast was superb. Sauna was another great was to relax.

Obvious price gouging due to marathon weekend, song of the times. not for us though as we ate our own body weight in tacos at Margo’s and got the bus everywhere. Called reception to replace batteries in tv remote, nobody came. Our room was an adjoining room but not used as such. However the ignoramus who did was noisy and light spilled through door all night. Worth looking at better ways to ensure air gap is better managed.

The staff at the hotel were so friendly and helpful and made our stay so much easier. The view from our hotel room was absolutely amazing and the way the room was set up felt very comfortable and spacious. We really appreciated how the hotel offers breakfast and how we could have breakfast boxes to take away when we had to leave early in the morning The bathroom was very clean and spacious with shampoos, conditioners and body wash provided. The bus stop and tour pickup point is literally just right next to the hotel which was so convenient.

Like the other posts have mentioned, there is a busy street outside of the hotel so it is very important to be patient while crossing the road. There’s also a slight climb when you’re coming back to the hotel but it wasn’t too much of a bother for us.

I liked multifunction concept throughout - the reception is a bar at the same time, the breakfast hall is a working hall in the afternoon, the shower door is a bathroom door by turning it 90 degrees. The hotel looks new and modern, the choice of pillows is wonderful, the shower is spacious and breakfast warm/cold choice of food is very balanced.

I did not like their 100 NZD deposit policy. It spoils a very positive impression. And I even disliked it more when the deposit was released only a few days after we had left.

great location, friendly staff.

Bed was rock hard and very uncomfortable, worst two nights sleep I've had. Same lack of comfort with the lounge/chaise in our room. For the price I would expect more comfort. Also a bit of a pain expecting parking but then having to take our chance on booking it for the next day when we arrived. Had to park a while away in off street parking which was a pain in the freezing cold. Buffet breakfast was typical hotel buffet.

- Breakfast buffet was good, great start to the day with fresh fruit and your usual hot breakfast items. - The lobby was a very nice with a comfortable lounge area, nice seating, chilled water tap. - Staff were nice and helpful. - Bus stop super close.

- Room was on the small side considering the price paid - The drains were draining very slowly (Shower and bathroom sink drain) - Couldn't tell from the maps but good to note that the hotel sits on an incline from the center of town, so to walk to and from the city centre required a bit of exercise (not necessarily a negative, but good to note)

Great welcoming, very nice staff, the buffet breakfast was a highlight of our stay, usually hotel breakfasts are crap, this one has to be the nicest one we’ve had by far! The room was nice, clean, spacious and just what we needed. The location was perfect (apart from coming back up the hill lol) We checked out but wernt flying home till later so we left our suitcase there which was super handy that we didn’t have to lug it round with us. Late checkout for being an ihg member is awesome!

Please have mushrooms and tomatoes on the same day, they both are delicious but would have loved to have them both on the same plate Our bed was uncomfortable but we stayed with 14 others and they all loved their beds so just personal preference 🤷‍♀️ Front desk service could be a little faster?

What you’d expect from a Holiday Inn. The room was clean, comfy beds, had all the amenities you’d need. By far the best thing was the view (if you get a room with a view). Gorgeous view of the lake and mountains! The area in the lobby is modern, well decorated and welcoming. Breakfast had a good mix of food. Also great to get complimentary drinks to enjoy in the lobby area. Shout out to Tama (I hope I spelt that right)! He was super helpful and friendly, really lovely customer service. Made our time in Queenstown all the more enjoyable. Location is perfect, close to city centre.

Parking at hotel is paid but free parking is available on streets behind the hotel, and just a short walk. Rooms are a little small but standard for most hotels i’d say. Oh and showers have frosted walls and this can be seen from where the beds are…. not a big deal but thought i’d share as we found it quite amusing.
