We loved everything about our stay at The Waterfront A+++++ We stayed here for 4 nights in June 2025. The view was amazing, the proximity to town was a few minutes walk and the facilities of the room and hotel were just what we needed. We stayed in the Penthouse suite 3A on the 5th floor. There were 15 stairs to the room after exiting the elevator but that was no problem. The staff will help with your luggage if you ask. The room was very clean, we had a comfy King bed with electric blankets, black out curtains, bi-fold doors that opened up to a full balcony with table and chairs and the most spectacular view I've ever seen. Theres a flatscreen tv, a kitchenette equipped with fridge, microwave, stovetop, pots, pans, cutlery, glasses n cups, coffee machine, coffee pods, salt, pepper, sugar, tea, coffee, milk, kettle, iron, ironing board and there were also heated floors in the kitchen and bathroom. The rest is carpeted and the carpet is clean. The bathroom has a huge double shower too and also very clean. The cleaners do a great job. There's a coin operated laundry downstairs and the washing powder was provided. There's also an undercover carpark. The room is not serviced but we like that as it maintains our privacy and there were enough towels, soap, shampoo, and loo paper supplied for our stay. The staff were amazing and very helpful to all our needs. They were all so very friendly. I cannot fault the service. We even had an early checkin and late check-out as the room was ready when we arrived and upon leaving the next people in weren't arriving immediately after us. They will help if you ask and if it is possible. Thankyou to all the staff for making our stay enjoyable and memorable. A+++++

We loved everything!

Location was superb - just few steps from central Queenstown. Was very convenient for my elderly grandparents, the walk into town was completely flat. Spectacular waterfront views was the highlight of our stay. Apartments were modern and well furnished, had enough for what we needed. We also liked the fact that each room had their own bathroom. Customer service was great - we had a late check in and early check out which was seamless.

As other reviewers have stated, the car parks are small, we had a Kia Carnival and it was very difficult to park in the underground area. We expected this though from reading reviews beforehand so it wasn't that big of an issue, just took more time going back and forth to park. Fortunately in the last few days, the reception allowed us to park out the front and on days when there weren't any guests checking in. Another minor thing were how thin the walls were, at night you could hear when other guests upstairs running the tap, walking across the building - just something for the light sleepers to note. I'm assuming the building has been around for a while.

The Waterfront epitomises class, while being exceptionally well positioned right on the water. We stayed in penthouse 4, with sweeping 180 degree views of Queenstown. It was absolutely breathtaking. Heated flooring in the bathroom alongside heated towel rails, a beautiful comfortable bed, stunning gas log fire and access to wifi, great TV channels and all amenities you could need. The view never got old, every day we woke up grateful to look out over something so amazing. Highly recommend

Very small car park, penthouse slightly misleading as was also a room above us

The Waterfront is in the perfect position! 2 minute walk into town! Our apartment looked like it had been recently renovated and it was really lovely! Warm and inviting with the perfect view to match!! Clean, cosy and perfect for our family! The bathrooms were clean and updated! The kitchen had everything we needed! Check in staff were friendly and helpful! Having a carpark was a huge bonus too! We would def recommend The Waterfront! And can’t wait to visit again!

There was construction work going on, but we had already been notified of this numerous times when booking! It didn’t worry us at all as we were out pretty much all day!!!

This property is close enough to Queenstown without being too close which means within a few minutes you are at all the restaurants and bars but without the noise and traffic. We stayed in a penthouse apartment which has a very large balcony looking directly at the mountain range and further down the lake and mountains. Superb view and you can sit outside and enjoy the view. It has car parking which is a plus as there is limited car parking around the town. It has a kitchenette which is all you need and a large double shower.

The only challenge was a lack of air conditioning as it got quite hot and we weren’t there in Summer but there are a number of doors and windows to open.

Location was amazing Accommodation was good with ample space Great kitchen facilities for eating in Good laundry and parking Place was clean and nice lounge / dining space View would have been amazing without the road work

Level 2 was right on car park and couldn’t open curtains without people looking straight in - needs sheer curtain Bed was 2 pushed together making it uncomfortable Shower/bath was hard to get in and out of if not very tall - also massive slip hazard

superb location for exploring Queenstown- we were able to walk easily to all of the nearby restaurants as well as to meet up with all of our tours and catch the TSS Earnslaw/ Walter Peak BBQ tour. Had a great view of the water and some people watching- Apartment itself was impeccable and very nicely furnished- Had elevator which was handy for baggage- Also had free parking (including outdoor spaces which we needed for our taller vehicle). Convenience store less than 5 min walk away-

Wasn't an issue for us due to cooler weather but notable that there was no A/C which seems to be more the norm in NZ in our experience.

The apartment is very spacious and with a gorgeous view of Lake Wakatipu, Walter Peak and Queenstown Gardens. It seems newly redecorated with nice carpets, clean painted walls and nice French windows. The heater works well and rooms are quiet. Furnitures are old dated but clean and cozy. Kitchen with full set of equipments is convenient and the guest laundry is in the garage, it costs NZ$4 for washing and another NZ$4 for drying. They offer hang-dry rack, too. Location’s good; supermarket, restaurants and shops are all in 5 to 10-minute walking distance. We stayed there for 6 nights, it’s joyful and truly relaxed. Definitely recommend it. They’re bloody full-booking, just do it as soon as possible.

None.
