Location

Property was fine. The customer service team were not very friendly. We paid $32 each for buffet breakfast, we arrived at the. Buffet at 8.30am to discover no bacon, no hash browns, no veggies etc. we had to ask when would the items be topped up and had to wait 20 minutes for top up. No mushrooms no tomatoes in the buffet. For $32 I’d expect big breakfast menu items.

The shower was great and as a mobility impaired person, having handrails etc was so helpful. It was also handy to public transport.

The sloping floor to the bathroom was a little challenging in the middle of the night. Breakfast was a little pricey but a nice treat.

I stayed at the hotel for a work trip. The hotel was very centrally located close to many restaurants bars attractions. The restaurant had a decent menu The only thing that was a bit disappointing was the hot water in the shower needed to be constantly adjusted during shower, so by the time you got to the end of the shower you needed to be in the fully hot position to maintain any temperature and you needed to adjust the hot water about 10 times in a 10 minute shower. though it were room service. I selected the larger room which was huge by hotel standards. The room was well fitted out with a an ironing board as well as a wall mounted TV with HDMI port accessible so I could attach my Google TV and watch programming from home.

The only thing that was a bit disappointing was the hot water in the shower needed to be constantly adjusted during shower, so by the time you got to the end of the shower you needed to be in the fully hot position to maintain any temperature and you needed to adjust the hot water about 10 times in a 10 minute shower. Tho room is also missing safe which would’ve been a good addition and also no microwave oven.

Customer service and the cleaning crew were exceptional. We found all the pamphlets in the lobby really helpful while deciding what to do with our time there too. We also really enjoyed not having to think about breakfast too. We also felt safe because you needed to have a room key to use the elevators.

The dryer on the first floor wasn't that great, it may need a service and if we made it to breakfast a bit late, the pastries were gone or nearly gone and not always restocked. Very minor complaints though, because we really enjoyed our stay.

I had an excellent stay at the Ibis Hotel in Wellington. The hotel’s location was perfect, with easy access to the city center and waterfront. The room was comfortable, clean, and well-appointed, offering everything I needed for a relaxing stay. The highlight, however, was the buffet breakfast we added on. It was absolutely fantastic — a wide variety of fresh, delicious options to suit all tastes, from hot items like scrambled eggs and bacon to a great selection of pastries, fruits, and juices. The staff were friendly and attentive, ensuring a pleasant dining experience. Overall, I highly recommend the Ibis Hotel in Wellington, and I’ll definitely be back for both the great accommodations and that amazing breakfast!

Good sized beds (hard to find two double beds), huge number of rooms, easy access/close from the quay, easy to check in and out, no noise from outside can be heard (it's a quiet part of the town as well), friendly staff

No amenities provided except for one all-in-one shampoo, conditioner and body soap. No pens or papers provided for use, towels not replaced after housekeeping although there was no notice about not replacing towels every day, thin walls so you can hear the next room as well as people in the corridor.

Almost nothing we can fault from our stay. Prior to check in staff were super accommodating with our late carparking request (thank you!). On arrival everyone was friendly, beds were comfy, location was absolutely unbeatable (we were in town for a concert at TSB arena and it couldn't be much closer). We had breakfast and coffee the next morning and couldnt fault either. Supermarket within about 100m. For a short stay, what more could you ask for.

The carpark was very tight (large long ute) but this was a minor detail and almost expected in central Wellington - You do also need to book quite far in advance but thankfully they were able to help us out :)

The lady who was at the front desk at check in and check out was absolutely lovely. Our room was great and very clean! Beds were comfy as. We were on the 8th floor and there was little to no noise which was awesome. There's onsite parking available, it is pretty tight though. Location is excellent!! The restaurant downstairs looks really popular and was packed as when we stayed. Staff were happy and friendly which is always good to see 😊

Nothing really. The only one thing that I did find confusing and I'm not sure what happened, was that when I booked our room it was one price. I requested a carpark a while after I booked our room. They replied they added that to my booking. Then I noticed the price of my room had increased, I just automatically thought oh it must be the parking. But, no I still had to pay parking so I'm really not sure what happened there? As my booking price shouldn't have changed. And yes I did query this and still have no reply

We have been staying at Ibis Wellington several times now and we find the location perfect. This time, travelling with a back problem, so opted to book the accessible room. We arrived early, around 11am and the receptionist kindly let us check in early so I have time to rest before a long day of activities. Also, initially was advised parking is full, but she somehow managed to find 1 slot for us, so we can go straight to our room from the basement with our luggages. Very happy with the great service!

Thank you for a fantastic place to stay during our weekend getaway! Staff from reception and restaurant were friendly and engaging. Room was adequate with a BIG comfortable bed. The buffet breakfast had delicious bacon and hash browns topped off with fresh fruit and four tasty juice options - the fresh pineapple and pineapple juice were by far the best! Location of the Ibis is a winner. So close to the train station and easy walking distance to the waterfront, Cuba Street, Courtney Place and for us an enjoyable walk to the Zoo.

The only negative is the limited amount of parking spaces available; the cost of having our car at a Wilson’s parking building over the weekend was shocking!
