A new Clarion hotel a stone's throw from Central Station, everything worked, the staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. Breakfast was excellent and they allow guests to go and make tea or coffee in the breakfast area all day, making it comfortable to sit with an after dinner cuppa and relax. All rooms have windows that open and in my case (a single room on the 9th floor) even a small balcony to sit outside.

The wifi is free but has zero login security. I'd rather have a network with some restrictions to feel marginally safer. Having booked a single room, I didn't expect much space, so no issues there, but the designer clearly never worked from a hotelroom desk before (because they put the minibar underneath, so there was barely room for legs at all).

Fabulous breakfast—especially loved the roasted vegetable and incredible variety of choices. It was the best buffet we had out of 4 hotels in Norway. Great informative, helpful staff. Nice design. Great location near Munch, the Opera, tram stops, the train and bus stations. We were very happy with our 6 day stay in Oslo. So much of it is new environmentally conscious city planning and architecture, truly a green city. We wish we had planned to stay longer.

There was something wrong with the lighting in our room where we couldn’t turn off the overhead light. Tom at the front desk immediately switched us to another room for the night and the problem was fixed early the next morning. Like many showers in Norway, the floor gets soaked because there isn’t adequate coverage from the side to stop the water from splashing.

Located close to the main train station in Oslo, a 5 min walk with cases from the stations side exit. In a newer business area but there are bars and restaurants close by, some facing over a harbour area, and its only 10 minute walk to the city centre. From our arrival the staff were very friendly, professional and helpful, and this continues with the evening bar staff and next days breakfast staff. Our room was clean, spacious and modern with a large comfortable bed. The large smart modern bathroom had a good walk in shower. Breakfast next morning was very good with a vast range of options. Based on other guests we saw it appeared this was mainly a business hotel, with some tourists like us. We passed through for one night before flying home, but both agree it was better than another Oslo hotel we spent a few days at the previously week, and we would consider using this hotel again if we ever return to Oslo.

Excellent breakfast and exceptionally helpful staff. The location is close to the harbor, central train station and lots of good restaurants. We walked almost everywhere, but bus and tram stops are also very close.

The view from our room was just okay. The bathroom could have used more hooks for hanging towels and personal items. The open shower stall resulted in a very wet bathroom floor. A bench for putting a suitcase on and more drawer space were really needed. There was plenty of floor space for these.

A really convenient location a few minutes from the Central Station. Adjacent to tram and bus stops for added convenience. A quiet but still interesting area about 8-10 minutes walk to the City. The staff were super efficient and very welcoming, we even got our room an hour early. Breakfast is superb and caters for any special requirements. Rooms are comfortable, functional and we never heard a thing from outside. The lifts are super by the way. Never waited more than 10 seconds for one.

The location is superb while the facilities are exceptional. The hotel is new, very clean and neat. Breakfast is fantastic with wide variety of choices and good quality. The receptionist told us we'd regret if we miss their breakfast. That's absolutely correct.

We reached the hotel at 4:45pm but one of the two booked rooms was not ready yet. We went out for shopping and dining and it was done. Our two rooms were far apart at both ends of the corridor. They said it was because of the bed configuration. My room is a bit dark especially near the entrance door where it is the most spacious space for the luggages.

It’s a great location, very convenient to the central station as well as to restaurants and key sites. However what made our overnight stay the most memorable was the exceptional staff and their excellent communications post stay. We had left personal items of great value to us in the room upon checkout and didn’t realise it til we were already on our way to our next destination. The hotel staff had ensured that it was kept in a safe place and was in constant communications with us in ensuring the safe return of these items to us. Their service went above and beyond the norm and was greatly appreciated and we will most definitely stay with Clarion Hotel Oslo on our next visit.

We wished the breakfast offered at the restaurant would start earlier on the weekends as it is on weekdays (7am) as we had to check out by 8am and were unable to enjoy it or It would be nice to have a take away box offered (breakfast was included in our room rate)

Location, room size and decor, toilet size, hairdryer and iron available in room, access to coffee and tea facilities in lobby 24/7 (including loose leaf tea with strainers) and water stations for still and sparkling water on our floor. Breakfast was very good with a large selection and the omelette I requested from the egg station was perfect. We had the junior suite for 3 people and for a change there was a proper bed as the 3rd bed, not a sofa bed, including a partition with curtain for privacy. It was like a little room attached to the big one, we were very pleased with it. The train station was walking distance and lots of shops and cafes around the hotel. I recommend it if you are staying in Oslo.

Comfortable and quiet rooms, elegant decor, great breakfast with huge variety. Professional staff were really polite, patient and helpful and location was excellent - steps from Munch Museum and Opera House!

Breakfast gets very busy and it is difficult to find seating and peace during that time window. Signage for the hotel could have been better when coming from the parking area at the back. No telephone or kettle in the room. Need to use personal phone to communicate with hotel and ask for kettle. There were also not instructions on the room about the lights and other features - a manual would have been useful.

The hotel was amazing. I totally recommend it. The staff was super helpful and kind. Also exceptional English speaker. We were extremely impressed with the breakfast at the hotel. You could find every possible thing and was extremely delicious. The location was good, only 5min from the opera and 10min from central. Also, our view was amazing.i could sit and stare outside the window for hours.

I didn't like the fact that we didn't have a towel for the feet. After taking a shower, the place gets very wet, and you definitely need a towel for your feet. For the rating of the hotel and the price of the room, that was kinda disappointing. Also probably that was my mistake, but I am mentioning it in the comments so nobody else gets confused like I did, they have two glasses and a wine outside of the minibar,and a pack of snacks which I thought they were like a welcome gift since they were on our desk separate from the minibar but apparently not they had extra charge (very chargeable). So if you are not willing to be charged extra do not consume those cause they are not a welcome gift!
