The hotel was beautiful and rooms had their own flare. I loved the bed and pillows provided. The hotel is located in a super central area and I felt safe as a solo traveler in this area. The staff were so kind and friendly - thank you :) I was super impressed with the daily clean of the rooms - it was super thorough and even the bedroom floors got mopped daily. Room service food was delicious Gym was small but had latest high tech equipment (I was only one in there so size wasn’t an issue) The departure gift was a cute touch.

If I had to be picky (given this is a 5 star hotel)…The pool was a little underwhelming….it felt more like a water feature than a pool. The area could benefit from some sunbeds to make it more inviting / cosy. I was lucky enough to be the only person using the pool so I could lay by the pool edge. This is the only reason I didn’t rate the hotel 10/10 as a pool is important to me on vacation for some down time. Other minor details…Room service menu was quite small with limited choices. The chrome cast on the tv was playing up - I was lucky to have my laptop though so it was okay. Outside signage to the entrance of the property wasn’t super obvious/clear.

The location is very central - there is a pool we didn't use but seemed rare. The hotel is well-designed to be quirky but high-end. The staff was helpful. The room was comfortable.

The hotel had just opened so the restaurant wasn't open yet - but the breakfast was good. Menus would help and less attentive staff. There were lots of times when we were the only people in the lobby with staff who asked a lot of questions and stood very close. I also saw the manager maybe, speaking to staff but didn't say hello. It felt like they need to warm up to hospitality and be more authentic. Felt a little overworked. But the staff was nice - I think it's how they were trained. The room was medium sized, but the floor was empty and in the back which seemed like old maid's quarters. The windows were small and high and the AC took a while to get cold. We also ran out of TP. The laundry is way too expensive.

We loved the attention to detail in our room. Upon entering our room, there were complimentary pasta da nata, wine, and bottled water. After a long journey, these were most welcome and very much appreciated. There were also tea and coffee making appliances together with a selection of teas and coffees. Breakfast was absolutely amazing, an incredible selection which gave us a good start to our days. We were also given a voucher each for a complimentary glass of wine. Upon leaving, I was given a miniature port wine to take home. These all made a huge difference to our stay. From the very start, the staff showed that they really cared that we were happy and enjoying our stay there. We liked the central location of the hotel. Many places of interest are within walking distance. Aliados metro station is only a few minutes' walk away. There was NOTHING to not like!!!

The location was perfect for everything and it's on a lovely boulevard. The staff are so friendly and nice and also very helpful. On arrival we were shown which tourist places to visit on the city map that was given to us. Our room was on the 5th floor, beautifully decorated in pastel colours. There are only 68 rooms in the hotel. We were at the back of the hotel so didn't hear any outside noise. The bathroom/shower was modern with all you would expect. We didn't have breakfast, so cannot comment on that but Bolhao market nearby is a great place to get breakfast with terrific value for money/plenty of choice. I asked for more hangers for our wardrobe and this was provided. Nothing was a problem. We would recommend this hotel to family and friends and would have no hesitation to stay here again.

I think the housekeeping should remember to check the mini-bar as some of our items did not get replaced but this was resolved very quickly once we requested these at reception.

We had a great time in Porto and especially staying at The Editory Boulevard Aliados Hotel. We must praise all of the staff that we met, they were all very attentive particularly the reception staff who were super helpful and knowledgeable of the City. After asking for recommendations for vegan and vegetarian restaurants they put together a host of options that turned out to be just what we needed. They couldn't have been more helpful and were more than happy to assist. The hotel is nicely furnished, comfortable and in a great spot for most attractions. Thanks for a lovely stay.

A very minor criticism. There were, what I believe to be, 2 wall lights either side of the TV that didn't work.

When ordering roomservice was requested to call the reception but the number given was wrong The breakfast was not good for the price paid, the coffee was very bad, very simple choice of breakfast, juice was not fresh, needed to ask for coffee or fried eggs but felt like a burden because you needed to ask for the simple things that should have been offered. The breakfast room can be full and the tables in the middle assigned to us were extremely uncomfortable as people are walking by left and right. Also too busy for the amount of staff to be serving you needed to wait too long for the coffee. That is the biggest minus otherwise the hotel facilities and staff were great

Comfortable hotel in a good location. Clean and all in good condition. The staff were very friendly and chatty, one of the friendliest places I have been to, they seemed so genuinely helpful and gave us great tips for sightseeing.

Shame the swimming pool was cold as the website said it was warm all year, but maybe it's too expensive to heat it up in cold weather. It would be nice if hotel had better vegan options. At breakfast there was no markings what was vegan. It was nice that there was oat milk for coffee (but only when I asked) and delicious fruit and soya yoghurt but there wasn't really anything savoury. I think having some avocado or hummus or vegan sausage would be amazing. Or even just fresh veggies and olive oil as Portugal has really good vegetables. When I asked the waitress she brought me a nice tomato salad, so definitely worth asking.

Everything on this hotel was wonderful. The staff were exceptional from the moment we arrived. I had issues with belongings left on my flight and they contacted the airline and airport lost and found and tracked my things down. Was amazing. They also helped us book tours and happily helped us plan our next 2 weeks around Portugal with suggestions and recommendations for places all over Portugal. Nothing seems to much for them to help with. The food was exceptional and I would recommend the tasting menu. It was phenomemal and some of the best food I've tasted. The cocktails were weird and wonderful and absolutely divine. I can't recommend this place enough from anyone coming to Porto. You won't be disappointed

I liked this hotel when I saw the rooms on website and it did not dissapoint. We stayed in a small room but it was big enough for 3 nights (a long weekend). Tastefully decorated. Nice big TV with cable channels. Helpful staff. We had problems switching the aircon and they came and helped out immediately. We did not book breakfast but we did get a voucher for dinner which we used and thought was good value for money. The port wine and apples in room, a really nice touch. Not to mention the kettle and coffee machine! I actually took my little kettle with me as noticed most hotels have only coffee machines and I drink tea in the morning. For me, the kettle was a winner!

Only a few minor details like a second bag holder as obviously we were a couple so had to stack our weekend luggage bags on top of each other and move them about when we had to take things out.
