The owner was friendly and she gave us a good advice for visiting Sintra palaces. We could park inside the property. We like the location since it is close to parking lot near Sintra train station and also within reasonable distance to Lisbon airport. The whole property was beautiful and well maintained. Our room on the ground floor was quite large and tastefully furnished with antique pieces. Also the bathroom was spacious. Everything was clean. The breakfast was served in very nice dining room and the selection of food was excellent. The second day we were leaving early, but we could prepare our meal and coffee in the shared kitchen at the end of the building. The place is quiet and charming. We recommend it!

Slow drain in the shower.

It was an unexpectedly amazing place. The history in the main room is 1700s and the tiles on the walls tell a story. The guest rooms in the main converted barn have Huge beautiful spaces. Enourmous. Great for families. There are trampolines, football area, animals lots of amazing spaces. The pool is dreamy. The shared kitchen I didn't even realise was there for a couple of day. It is all really nicely laid out and the staff great and helpful. I wish I had taken more photos of the building.

I can't think of anything to be negative about.

Beautiful property and lovely, accommodating hosts providing us with good tips. Tea and coffee making facilities in the rooms were a bonus

Beautiful property but on the edge of a commuter town with views onto multiple tall blocks of flats and railway tracks and commuter road. We mistakenly thought this place was in the country. Walking to the local and good restaurant in the evening felt very urban but deserted with a few cars passing by. The kettle was quite dangerous as it didn’t pour well and boiling g hot water would splash out and mopping was always required after making a cuppa Shower head not functioning well, a lop sided dribble of water coming from a rain shower head didn’t make for a nice shower experience.

Quiet is always very important for me...CHECK! Having a friendly/pet-able dog made my spouse very happy. That bed I slept on needs to me put in my house. My PTSD only allows me to sleep 1-3 hours...I slept 4 hours...AMAZING. Location was a little to get to, but patience led us to this place, and I will do it all over again visiting. Moreover, I hope this review convinces you to stay there also.

Breakfast - Okay, before any pre-judgement - I am certainly pickier than your average traveler: so, this not a knock on our lovely hosts (it is certainly me) I am more in line with hot American style breakfast. My spouse remarked a fairly standard European breakfast, and her expectations were met.

Host kind, helpful re: local sites, restaurants. Room clean, comfortable beds. Community kitchen, outdoor grill. Nicely landscaped grounds a peaceful respite, outdoor sitting areas.

In downstairs room hear guests above walking, muffled talking. No other guests until our last night. Unable to control heat as thermostat broke during our stay. Repairman ordered part. Very warm at night (Feb). Host did her best to accommodate.

This was one of the top locations my wife and I stayed at when touring around Portugal ! A bit of a challenge on the GPS if arriving after dark but no regrets whatsoever! Our Hosts were exceptional ! This location was quiet and safe and our room (more like a small cottage!?) was HUGE as was the bathroom. (Stand firm, exceptional water pressure in the shower!) Nice farm like grounds and a nice pool just outside (was glad we visited off season since no pool activity) Short walk through a beautiful small garden area for a very nice continental breakfast. Easy very short car ride to the "end of the line" train station so a nice safe and easy commuter train ride in to Lisbon and back! (Do Not Drive to Lisbon if you can avoid it!) Entry to the property has a secure 'entry code' to open the Gates to drive in. Very quiet and safe area. Hands down we would stay here again!

That we didn't stay here longer!

Loved the history of the place, the host was lovely and welcoming. Room was spacious and clean. Breakfast was an added bonus.

Not a critisism just some advice. Location is in the middle of Lisbon and Sintra but you will need a car. With a car you can park in Sintra (we parked on a residential road for free called R. Francisco dos Santos as the car parks were always full. Then only a 10 minute walk into the centre). To get to Lisbon we parked at the local train station Rio de Mouro (around the streets is free to park) where trains in and out were regular.

Semi rural location, which suits us, with great train links into the city or Sintra etc We also used Uber to get back from Lisbon which was very reasonable. The owners were always happy to help. Room was comfy and clean and breakfast had enough lovely options! Had the pool to ourselves, which was a refreshing but real treat.

This was such a relaxing stay. The chickens, the pool, the field and the playground - they were perfect. We also appreciated the kitchen which could be used by guests and the general vibe of the facility. It’s gorgeous and very old. Also, our host, Catarina, was wonderful. Kind, great with the kids, and even accommodated my son’s dietary restrictions. A huge thanks.

Nothing! (But maybe an additional lamp in the room would be a small suggestion)

The Quinta is excellent, very spacious, protected parking with a lot of parking spaces. Leonor the landlady is simply amazing ! My wife and I are vegan, and for EVERY breakfast she bought us vegan milk, yogourt, cheese spread. Without saying that there was already jam, peanut butter, bread, fruits, feuit juice, cereals, coffee, seeds. She even prepared us a breakfast the day before our early leaving (5AM). You’ll feel at home. We will return in the futur for sure.
