The room was comfy and spacious. The bed was great (although mattress might need turning as I think a few people tend to one side and you could feel the difference - but not uncomfortably so). The bath was lovely and the shower good. Breakfast in the morning was wonderful and all the staff were friendly and helpful.

The windows are a bit thin so just remember earplugs if you need them as the road can be quite busy. Whilst I never felt unsafe (and there was security on the corner at night) I did get people telling me to never walk alone on the next road up so be wary of you are a solo female traveller like me.

It is a lovely hotel with charming spacious rooms, a huge bathroom with a soaking tub, bright sunny windows with blackout curtains, air conditioner/heating, great toiletries, a room safe, small fridge, tea etc, and very good laundry service. Breakfast is delicious with a varied menu from magazine ready omelets, French toast, fruit and cereal. It is easy to walk to the V&A Waterfront, museum, the Hop-On-Hop-Off bus, (that is very good in Cape Town) and restaurants, markets, the Company Gardens and museums. The Bo-Kaap area is fascinating and quirky fun. Michel, Chris, and all the staff are terrific. Don't miss Robben Island.

The hotel is off main roads but there is traffic late into the night. The room I stayed in was pretty soundproof but not completely. The air system really helped. if you're coming in from the countryside it could be a shock to the system.

Location was perfect! Walkable and safe. Secure parking was available which really helped us out. Comfortable rooms with everything you need. Loads of great recommendations from extremely helpful and kind staff. Michelle, the owner, is a top notch person and very knowledgeable about the surrounding areas. Good place, good people! We will be back :)

The breakfast could use some refining, unfortunately we didn’t have the best experience with the food but it was always delivered with warm and kind service. Could have just been a little glitch during our visit

We liked the location since we investigated the area and it met our needs. Felt safe in the neighborhood since there was plenty of security. Easy to walk from the hotel to the center of of Cape Town. The host and the day manager were very helpful and found them to be engaging. Plenty of suggestions for things to do etc. We accommodation was spacious for us, even though there was a kitchenette we did not use it except to make some tea/coffee. Good cooked breakfast with gluten free bread for me since I suffer from coeliac.

Nothing!

The property was a short walk to restaurants and the city bowl area. We loved staying in this historic part of town with its colorful painted buildings. The staff was wonderful allowing an early check in and late check out. We found parking on the street close by,

Location, staff!

The breakfast was amazing! Over the course of our 3 breakfasts, we tried most everything on the menu, and it was all delicious. The french toast was about the best we had ever had, and the coffee was outstanding. The best part was the lovely conversations we had with the hotel staff each day, as they were all so friendly and welcoming.

Honestly, the ONLY thing I can think of that I didn't love was the fact that it seemed the A/C device shut off each night for a couple hours. This resulted in me waking up and feeling pretty warm. The first night I thought we just didn't have the temp set correctly, but the last night I realized it just shut off for a while. It could also be a part of the load-shedding that is done in Cape Town, but we never did ask the owners about it.

The property is centrally located to many restaurants & coffee shops that you can walk to . The rooms are clean and comfortable. Breakfast is served in the mornings and there is a chef there to personally prepare your meal from the menu they have. The staff are very helpful with answering any questions you may have and things you may like to do. I highly recommend the Rouge on Rose Boutique Hotel.

The owners of the hotel are super friendly and ever helpful and willing to give you the best tips and information for your trip. Breakfast was super being freshly cooked for you every morning. Right across was a mini mart for quick buys you need for an apartment. Fully equipped kitchen facilities that made it easy even when you buy take away. Loads of restaurants about and in case you are in a rush and need fast food, all the burger kings and nandos etc are within 5 - 10mins walking radius. There is a shopping mall about 10 mins walk as well which was good.

Even though breakfast was great, would have loved a bit more variety in the menu list though.

The location was excellent. Right in the heart of everything so you could walk everywhere. Room was superb with an amazingly comfortable bed! Michel and his team were amazingly helpful and went above and beyond to make sure we had a great trip. Organizing car rental, and providing tips on restaurants and nightlife. We had a room on the top floor with a mountain view and a small Juliette balcony. Breakfast was somewhat limited but delicious! Try their French toast for a really decadent start to the day!

There is no lift/elevator so it can be a hike to third floor with bags, although there is always someone to take your suitcases up or down for you. It would be nice if they had a small bar but, Michel assures us it's in the plans.

This is an excellent place to stay in Cape Town, you basically have a whole appartment and the owner parks your car off the street in a guarded area. The place is very clean. The owner is very friendly and helpful, he gave us a full day travel schedule and advice on where to eat along that route. We would probably never stopped at the restaurant he tipped, but wow, what a place! If we come back to Cape Town, we would not hesitate to stay here again, highly recommended. Breakfast is fresh and well prepared.

Nothing really, but if we are forced to be picky we would have loved a slightly more extended breakfast with a bit more choice.
