Room and bed was very comfortable and very spacious. Great private parking directly outside the room Great for a quick stopover when travelling

No Sunday dinner options in the pub - I had to drive to a nearby town to get dinner (it wasn't far though) It was a little odd walking into the pub in the afternoon as it's not very clearly signposted where to go to get your key. Everyone (clearly locals) just stared at me, which could be a bit daunting if travelling alone

Simply excellent. The staff is very friendly, the owner is a splendid gentlemen and on top, an truly excellent chef, the rooms are comfortable and foreseen of all creature comforts one could which for. It's an absolute certainty we'll go back to the Crown Inn whenever we are in the region !

Nothing really, there's nothing not to like. And on top of all the good things the Crown Inn has to offer, the local people are very friendly and interested in who you are and why you are visiting the region.

we stayed in Elton room & there was a terrible smell in the cupboard/wardrobe in the room which you could hardly smell when the door was closed but when you opened it it was poignant & extremely strong. We were unable to hang any clothes up in there (especially because we were attending a wedding) because the smell was so bad. The room was NOT unclean on little bit…we think there might have been a spillage previously.

First class restaurant and service. Staff always kind, helpful and welcoming. Homely atmosphere. Very comfortable and warm room with ultra modern bathroom. Extra clean. Nice touches such as availability of gluten free cereal and bread plus alcohol free beer and wine. Set in a charming, historic village.

Mixed fruit including bananas and berries for breakfast would be nice but accept these may not be available out of season.

Breakfast was excellent, and the location was ideal for Burghley House. The staff were first rate and excellent and we were well served by them. If the fates conspire and I am in the area again I will visit again.

Staff were vulnerable to the 'caprices' of the accommodation. The outer door had been shut against me, fortunately the staff were still there at midnight so could let me in. Another couple struggled to get in. This one will test your negotiating skills! Housekeeping had a 'bad day at the office' as there were no towels and one used coffee mug was missed.

Beautiful location, close to Peterborough. Fantastic country pub with friendly and efficient staff and excellent food. The rooms are amazing and the local area is stunning in parts.

It’s quite isolated, but quiet as a consequence and the wi-fi is not great as you might expect, but it’s ok as long as you don’t need to be online all the time.

The location was peaceful. The staff were friendly and the food was fantastic. The room was spacious and really clean. Lots of parking available.

The phone reception in the area was really bad and the fire alarm went off at 2am. We couldn’t contact the owner so we had to ring the fire brigade but these things happen. Maybe there should be somebody on site at all times.

Location was great. Room was stylishly decorated and bed comfy. Liked having a nightlight and thought the flapjack and fresh milk were a nice touch.

I would have liked to have breakfast but felt that £30 was rather a steep price to pay. Perhaps a continental option might have been nice?

Quiet location, perfect stop heading North after a flight into Gatwick. Lovely pub with a restaurant and garden, we had a delicious meal and pint in the bar. Stayed in one of the apartments which was spacious, nicely decorated and a very comfortable bed. Staff were lovely, really friendly and accommodating.

The room was very good: spacious, modern, well decorated, in excellent condition, the bed was huge and comfy, the bathroom was great and the room came with its own private garden. One of the nicest hotel rooms I've stayed in. There was lots of parking. The breakfast was also very good. I stayed only one night prior to visiting Burghley the next day. I hope to return in the future.
