You will need to search far for a hotel with better, friendly, polite, Personal Service; they are just in another class. The rustic ambience is something I love; this hotel has become my only choice when I stay-over in Pretoria. ***********( I have been coming to Menlyn Botique Hotel for at least two years (if I recall correctly).  It is my home away from home.  It is my default stay, I do not care if it costs more than other places. This Hotel is really special, the people (staff) in particular.  But the rest of the hotel is also so rustic and my "soul" can relax here. It is also clear that they spend money to maintain and improve on an ongoing basis.

Firstly on our arrival , the receptionist was very friendly and very welcoming. My husband and I were very tired but the moment we arrived there , we felt refreshed by the love of the staff. There was this guy called Jafta who was very friendly and helpful. He even extended his generosity by giving us the tour at the hotel. The manager Thuto , was lovely, friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was excellent. The dinner was delicious.we even met the lovely chief of the chef. She is beautiful and friendly also. We really enjoyed our stay and we don't mind going back there again. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary and our room was exceptional. Oh the massage ladies were beautiful and friendly and excellent 👌🏻.

We would like the upgrade of the showerhead. I'm a short person so it was a bit of a struggle when I had to climb the bed because it was a bit high for me . Rather than that it was a pleasant weekend.

The staff anticipated my needs and made me feel truly welcomed. The room was beautifully designed, with luxurious touches that created a cozy yet elegant atmosphere. I also loved the attention to detail in every aspect, from the breakfast to the well-curated amenities. The tranquil ambiance provided a perfect retreat, and the location offered easy access to local attractions while still feeling exclusive. I can't wait to return for another relaxing stay.

While my stay was mostly delightful, I found the bed a bit too firm for my liking. A softer mattress or the option of a mattress topper would have made the experience more comfortable. This small adjustment could enhance the overall comfort for guests with different preferences.

Great place with professional staff and we broadly enjoyed our stay. Overall everything was comfortable.

Couple of things: the fan device in the bathroom to expel air was making a loud noise when switched on which was a bit annoying. The other issue which I raised with the staff is, they charge you an extra fee for late check out which they can only push as far as 12pm. I believe if this is gonna be the case, the cut off time should be significantly later than that. 12pm is the standard you get from most hotels without paying a fee.

Central. Upmarket with all amenities at one place.

I was booked at Room 7, on the side of the highway. It was too noisy with traffic through out. For an executive room, that was not good. I’m not sure if you can add a noise cancellation wall or something. Parking is always a nightmare on weekends, consider reserved parking for guests staying over vs people using the restaurant. And the basement parking is too squashed, one day they will be scratched cars down there. It’s stressful parking down the basement and worse coming up with the elevator right up at the restaurant. The drainage system in Rm7 is slow. When you shower, you end up standing in pooled water, that is not nice. From the basin, you hear water down the drains long after you have used them, gurgling down.

Beautiful , spacious and comfortable rooms! Fabulous meals by the pool and outside the restaurant . Friendly breakfast staff.

The only remark to improve our next stay : Parking ! In house guests should have preference to conference guests or visitors. Especially after 5PM outside guests occupied underground parking and inside parking. Conference guests should park next door or outside. Room 5 - outside furniture was not kept clean and staff use this area as a smoking area with ashtrays left behind with cigarette butts.

Memorable 10 Year Wedding anniversary, Menlyn Boutique was Amazing!!! We Loved the art so unique, the pool felt like a real holiday... Breakfast was picture perfect. To top it all Patricia at the Spa from the first conversation her service was exseptional. One of the best meggages, Patricia Thank you is not enough. We will go out of our way to go back...💫 Thanks a Million!!!

We stayed in the executive room and it was so lovely!! We enjoyed our stay the staff was lovely the room was extremely lavish modern and clean with a Nespresso machine, Earl Grey teas and we were welcomed with a snacks in the room (crisps and a chocolate) it’s the small little details that was noticed and enjoyed, room tv with Netflix, soft gowns towel warmer and quick room service. The managers on duty also made every effort to ensure our stay and needs were met, It was really an enjoyable experience and so lovely and professional. Would recommend to anyone looking for a tranquil stay and a proper hotel environment.

Would have liked to have enjoyed some spa treatments unfortunately the spa was closed due to the festive season.

Having stayed there many times it is a great luxury hotel, good breakfast, nice rooms, friendly staff

This was the first time my sleep was badly impacted by the highway noise. I think this room no 20 being high up and facing highway is the reason, all other stays never heard the highway noise. There was no water for 3 days of stay, not hotels fault but it is time to get off the grid and not rely on the useless services provided by municipalities and government.

Very elegant hotel. The room was perfect. There was cold water (in glass bottles) in the mini bar. The bedsheets were clean, super white and crisp. The coffee station had a nespresso machine (extra pods and milk was provided) there was also a selection of different tea bags. Breakfast was exceptional and the previous evening we ordered pizza from the adjacent Holy Dough wood fire pizzaria - delivered to the room in a jiffy !!!

There is nothing I did not like !!!
