In truth, the breakfast was not exceptional. Actually below par for the amount we’re paying. On the other hand we stayed for 10 days which is much longer than most guests. Waiting the same breakfast every morning was boring after the 3rd day. We wish to especially thank Carmina, one of the front desk receptionists. She was always cheerful, kind and helpful. Wonderful service.

See above about the breakfast. Also the staff on the rooftop terrace/bar were not very friendly or helpful. They need some training in customer relations.

Outstanding staff. Many thanks for all the help! Asked for extra coffee and received with no issues. Asked for restaurants recomendations and information that exceeded our expectations. Asked for new bedsheets and they were changed right away. We received a birthday surprise from the hotel. Beautiful spacious and lighty rooms with amazing view. There is a rooftop with a small pool with sunbeds and fine bar. The water was clean and the beds comfortable. The view to the Santa Barbara Castle is amazing. The breakfast was delicious (especially the fritata which in my opinion should be more)!

The room could benefit from pairs of disposable slippers.

The best thing about this accommodation is that they have a great staff, very friendly and helpful (Carmina is the best). The location is also great as it is few meters away from the beach, from restaurants and bus stations. The rooms are large and clean.

Unfortunately there wasn't a small fridge in the room, that would be helpful when the breakfast is very basic, without any vegetables, or when you want to keep your drinks cold. The swimming pool is very small, not made for swimming.

My favourite part was the wonderful reception staff. Warm and friendly and extremely knowledgeable. They were very kind to my toddler daughter, and went out of their way to ensure we could get a taxi to the airport on our final day because there were disruptions in the city due to a marathon. I was sad to leave them! The beds were extremely comfortable, and the location, just one road back from the beach, and the Old Town, was excellent. The room was impeccably clean with everything you could need. Breakfast was very nice, and the laundry came in handy. I'd love to stay again.

I had hoped to use the pool but it, and the roof terrace, was closed for renovations. We didn't know this prior to arrival, which was a little disappointing, but the stay overall was still wonderful!

It was quiet at night even though the hotel is located close to the busy street and the beach. Easy access from the airport, taking the bus c6 then just a couple minutes walk from the bus stop “plaza puelta del mar”. The elevator entrance to the Santa Barbara castle is 5 minutes walk though the elevator was closed at the time. Taking a path to the castle took us 30 minutes from the hotel. We stayed 1 night before heading to Altea, it worked great for us having breakfast at the hotel and walking up to the castle then checked out at 12:00.

The apartment was very modern, spacious very clean. The staff were exceptional, very helpful, very informative about the area and all spoke good English.

Breakfast choice a little limited and the cold buffet would benefit from kept in a chiller cabinet rather then left out on the on the side in the breakfast room. The terrace was plenty big enough but could be improved by having more outdoor furniture especially as the apartment was for four. A two-seater sofa and coffee table weren't enough there was plenty of space for a sun bed or two to enjoy the afternoon sun.

Odyssey Rooms is an amazing hotel/apartment. Modern and stylish yet not pretentious. The staff were all extremely friendly especially towards our 2 yo son :) fresh fruit was available to be taken from reception and on the landing at the rooms - something which my son took well advantage of! The apartment we stayed in had 2 room - one double and one single and the staff had provided us with a travel cot - which must’ve been comfortable for my son to sleep 5/7 nights in! (first night he ended up with us and the last night he was unwell so he and I ended up in the single!) the room was spacious and the kitchenette was great, when we arrived there was cleaning products provided and a cold bottle of water in the fridge. The staff has also arrange a surprise for us as it was my husband’s special birthday (thank you! that was very kind!) facilities were all great; shower, AC, balcony etc. Breakfast was a continental selection - we ate there most mornings. The beach is about a 2 minute walk away and there’s lots of shops, bars and restaurants nearby. Roof top pool was beautiful with an amazing view!

I must start by saying this isn’t a “dislike” - if I have to say one thing - the rooftop pool isn’t the most suitable for children.. it’s more of a dipping pool with a relaxing (adult) atmosphere (this is probably a good point for some guests haha!) we were up one morning and although we didn’t feel unwanted (the guests were all very welcoming of our son too!) it’s just not a pool you can “play” in.

Everything was perfect, from the checkin at reception (accepted early checkin) till the checkout (called the taxi for us and it was cheap). Rooms are very clean, well-equipped, wifi was good as well. AC was fine, controlled in each room separately. Deckchairs/sofa and tables on the terrace. Awesome view from the terrace to the mountain castle. Breakfast was good also, simple but worth the price. Overall central location, close to the beach and any kind of restaurants.

No beach towels - it would be awesome to have such option.

- the apartment exceeded our expectations: spacious, quality materials, quiet with a huge balcony - staff was always at hand but not in your face - roof terrace with a view to die for - right in the centre within walking distance of everything

The breakfast was very good, lovely freshly squeezed orange juice, good choice except the last day when they had run out of coffee/options more limited. Location is pretty well perfect for a city or beach break in Alicante city. It is located in the old town under the shadow of the castle, short walk to the shops, beach just across the road, literally hundreds of bars/restaurants etc. Museum, architecture. Rooftop pool is a lovely bonus.
