We felt very safe because of their security. Really easy to find, very close to a tube station and right next to a bus stop so makes it easy to get to the airport. We were able to walk 20 mins to the main shopping district which was very handy. Loads of brunch/bars/restaurants nearby. The shared facilities were really useful for storing food in the fridge etc. They supplied towels which was pleasant surprise although they had a few stains. Great AC.

The beds had dips in them which made it slightly uncomfortable. Unfortunately the area which it is located in is sketchy at night which made us feel unsafe walking back from bars.

The room and facilities were exactly what was expected based on the listing. Was great to be able to do some washing and cook a few meals in the shared space. The clothes rack in the room enabled us to unpack our suitcase and "settle in" somewhat, which was really nice. The air conditioner in our room was a dream given the very hot temperatures in Barcelona that week.

Our bed was a bit squeezy and walls were a little thin – our neighbours weren't very quiet so we didn't sleep well on our first night. I wasn't particularly bothered by this, but "city views" was mentioned on the listing which was not accurate.

We really enjoyed our stay at Bird House! The place was nicely decorated, the beds were comfortable, and the room was fairly spacious. They were also able to add an extra bed when another friend decided to join the trip last minute, which was very helpful. The location was super convenient for the metro and Aerobus, and just about walkable into the old town. I would stay again!

The only main issue I noticed was that it could really do with an extra bathroom, since our floor had two bathrooms shared between four rooms. We also had a couple of our drinks taken from the fridge by other guests, but that's basically inevitable in hostels and they do their best to avoid that by giving each room their own shelf. Regardless, for such a great price, I really can't complain that much!

The hostel was very central and close to a metro station. The room had five beds which is great for a family with three kids. It was a very quiet place. It was kept nice and clean by staff and the rest of the guests.

The building itself is small and it was hard to ventilate properly. The pantry was limited, but most people don’t cook there so that was ok. There is a fridge, but that wasn’t really clean. Not a place to hang around, but great to just sleep and head out again.

calm, clean, amazing location (200m from urgell metro and 120m from bus station of airport bus and many buses, 700m from Plaza Espanya) our room (6.2) is spacious, bed comfortable, has a hanger and a mirror and a nice view on city. the AC works very well both bathrooms were very clean the kitchen and shared area had all one needs - the remote check in system was very helpful as we arrived at 2 am - the kept our luggage until 3 pm which was nice

not a lot but things to improve: - slow wifi - pillows are thin - blankets are light (I’m a chilly person but AC works well no worries) - kitchen is right next to rooms 7 and 8 so they could be bothered by one using kitchen

All in all I really liked it except 2 issues which I wrote below.

Only 2 issues which both had simple solutions: 1. It's marked that this hotel has parking but u need to c into the details that they only help u buy parking at the parking lot across the street... I thought otherwise when I ordered the room. 2. The single blanket that I received was way too hot for me, and while I could have turned on the AC (which I dislike in general) I would be grateful for a lighter option.

The location is really good, it is close by everything and you can reach it easily by bus when you arrive at the airport. The staff was really friendly, when we arrived there weren´t towels but i sent a message and they brought them immediately! There were also 2 bathrooms, so most of the time you didn´t have to wait (some hours there are more people like at 8 in the morning but you never have to wait too long). The bedroom had all the space we needed and a good mirror.

We were lucky that the other people left the bathroom clean, but our second last day there were people who left really nasty stuff there, so most of the time people respect it but sometimes you can have bad luck. The bathrooms seemed like they were cleaned everyday, so it wasn´t a major problem. We also saw pictures of a big terrace, but we didn´t find it.

The AC was wonderful and a must if staying in Barcelona. The staff let us drop off our bags at the front since our room wasn't ready yet. They were quick though and even brought our stuff to our rooms for us while we were out getting lunch. The breakfast was done uniquely: they gave you a coupon/card that you took down to a local restaurant, and they gave you a drink, sandwich and sweet bakery item. The room was clean and the kitchen in the common area was really nice.

The window to our room didn't latch very well; easily fixable. The bathrooms had NO air to help with steam/heat (maybe get better venting there?), The little lamps above the bed didn't work for all the beds (needs new lightbulbs). be prepared for a code to get into main door, code for your floor & key for your room. Walls are thin. My daughter had a meltdown one afternoon at 3pm (lovely...) and we woke up another patron on the same floor, but on the other side. Oops! We felt bad. Just talk quietly or don't take your kids to Europe. haha! Suggest more shelving since we were in a room for 4 people and there wasn't a lot of space to put things. Maybe get a small AC unit for the common area. Soooo hot there! Although we visited in July...

Good value for a more than two person group in the 5 bunk room. The room itself was quite sparse, but functional. The wifi strength was okay. The location was close to public transit and had enough neighborhood eateries that you didn't have to wander out of it if you didn't want to. The suite had two bathrooms to share between at least 5 rooms, but I never had to wait to use one or the other. The staff was friendly enough. The price was notably cheaper than other options in the city.

The space was a bit gloomy from a lighting perspective. There was a picnic like table with benches in a small common kitchen area, but we never used it. You didn't really interact with anyone, because the common area really was more utilitarian, there to eat and go.
