This was a beautiful building in the heart of old Cadiz, no expense has been spared on the furnishings and decor - a real 'wow' factor when we arrived. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful.

Friendly staff, great bar/restaurant, lovely spacious room. Terrific Italian/Spanish menu. Reasonably priced. Good wine list. Try the sandwich option at lunchtime, absolutely delicious. Superb bed, bathroom with large bath and separate shower. Luxurious feel. Atmospheric old town street.

Difficult location to drive to/drop off baggage/park, will cost extra 17 euros parking per night. 150 metres walk from safe underground car park. Noisy on street with al fresco restaurant at hotel. No problem unless you really value quiet and peace for stay.

We loved being greeted, welcomed, given visitor tips and generally treated as valued guests. We felt we were amongst friends. The room was very elegant with a fantastic bathroom with a discreet toilet, extremely well designed. Beautiful bathroom products. Tissues, face washers, shampoo AND conditioner, fridge, tea and coffee, large comfy bed. external windows for light. Gorgeous rooftop terrace for our late night cups of tea. Great location.

The hotel was true to all of the images and descriptions. As much as the hotel itself was lovely, it was the team of staff that took it it the next level and made that difference. Maria in particular epitomised friendly and professional service, with a "nothing is too much trouble" ethos. Beautiful hotel and staff, providing a sanctuary of quiet escapism in the heart of the Old Town. I would travel to Spain again if only to enjoy the feeling each time I walked into the hotel... thank you 😊

The hotel is stunning. We were in a junior suite which was spacious and elegant. The large marble bathroom had an enormous walk-in shower. The velvet curtains and traditional wooden shutters ensured that it was very quiet at night.. The attention to detail throughout was impressive. Delicious breakfast was available next door in the Canovas restaurant.

The hotel bar/restaurant was closed on Sunday evening.

We simply loved our three nights stay in Casa Canovas. We were very lucky because we got an upgrade to a double premium with private terrace ( 2 terraces, with wonderful outside bath!)...even though the room is a smaller proportion of size (townhouse), all of the features and deko where of high quality. The service was outstanding, especially Maria, the receptionist. She was extremely helpful with recommendations for places to go, to eat, to visit. The hotel is perfectly located within the center.

We loved the graciousness of the staff and the helpful information they provided. The restaurant was wonderful. We enjoyed sitting outside.for out meals We plan to stay there again. Fernando was especially kind and helpful. If we knew the names of others at reception we would mention their names too. Also, we loved our room. We noticed extra effort was put into making our room more accommodating. For example, there were 3 different sets of glasses - champagne, tumbler... Lastly, the location is great.

Great location close to all the sights and shops in the old town. Beautifully renovated and well thought out rooms. The roof terrace is a nice touch too. Fernando, the owner, is super helpful with suggestions for bars, restaurants and sightseeing.

Our only issue was with the adjoining restaurant where we had breakfast. The first day was great, the second it was very poor. I think it depends on which are staff are working on the day. We had an evening meal there which was very good.

A most beautiful boutique hotel, clearly a labour of love, the attention to detail was fantastic, nothing was overlooked, Even though I had made a mistake on the booking dates , it was all sorted so efficiently, had to change rooms for our last 2 days , but ended up in a most beautiful suite at the top with an outdoor area , including a bath ❤️ what an absolute treat 😀

Breakfast is served a tad too late , and some construction work is currently going on so we ended up having breakfast a few days in a quieter area, clearly an up & coming areas hece the amount of vulg⁷_
