Grounds were exquisite

The hotel displays photos of prominent past guests. That a photograph of Mussolini was displayed as a point of pride (and in the hotel’s main hallway) was offensive and in poor taste. The photograph should be removed.

The room was absolutely superb. Recently refurbished it presented beautifully. Well-designed with mostly excellent modern facilities. The very modern lights, blinds, curtains etc., control system caused a few problems. The hotel moved very quickly to solve them. Breakfast had to be carefully chosen but a classic French breakfast was available which we greatly enjoyed. The view of the lake was uninterrupted and very beautiful. The hotels fleet of restaurants is ideal for foodie guests. A combination of good Japanese and high quality French offered much to the palate. Even the Lobby Lounge could offer delicious dim sum.

We left an essential medicine at home and needed help from the concierge to obtain a small quantity for our 2 night stay. This was almost immediately dismissed as impossible. However, ultimately he delivered the required with a good grace the initial hostility was unexpected and unnecessary. The Anne Sophie Pic restaurant rose to magnificent heights with the lobster but some of the inter-dish small dishes were quite bizarre. The most disappointing was the bread cooked with camomile. Had the bread selection been better presented we could have avoided it.

Facilities, the spa (Polynesian massage was lovely) and room were gorgeous. So clean and peaceful. Love the Bluetooth speakers in the bathroom. Bedroom was spacious. Service was very nice. Enjoyed the ice room in the spa too. Love the sparrows and the breakfast choice.

A few times I asked for tap water and they charged me 7CHF for a bottle. A little annoying. When I told them, the lady said she would have to check whether this is the case with the waitress - which felt a little accusatory and they didn’t come back to me about it. The kitchen doesn’t have nutritional info for the meals (like calories and macros). This would be helpful for the health conscious. The gym has decent equipment but could be a little better equipped/spacious on the weight side - more legs machines/squat rack, space for lunges etc. A Peloton would be amazing. But overall it was a nice space.

This is a Grand Belle Epoque hotel that fancies itself one of the best in the world. I would agree with two exceptions (see below). The rooms are stunning as is the decor of the common spaces. The hotel offers multiple dining options and other ammenities. But perhaps the single most important reason to stay at this hotel is the view across Lake Geneva and the Alps. It is a true joy to sit on your balcony for breakfast and look at the changing cloud patterns across the water and the ice caps on the mountains.

Service on the day I stayed was sub-standard. There was no one immediately available at the front entrance to greet me. The staff service was slow in both the lobby bar and the Le Bar downstairs. The reception personnel were young and inexperienced, leading to a misunderstanding about the price of a Junior Suite. And the room initially shown to me - "partial lake view" was a joke. You had to lean out the window to see just a sliver of the lake. You'll definitely want a lake view and to get it, you'll need a "full lake view" room - which is not that much more expensive.

location, style , a beautiful hotel

light system in bedrooms is difficult to work. Impossible to switch on/off only one bedside light. Terrace lobby restaurant, very slow and not attentive enough service. Always a long wait for menu, then the order even with few people. Room with partial view of the lake is a misleading description. it’s VERY partial . If you go out on the balcony and look left you can see a small corner of the lake. It’s a garden view.

Loved the staff. Walking along the lake. The weather. The hotel and grounds are amazing. Our rooms were 2 separate bedrooms but we shared a bath which was ok for a few days. The lobby Christmas tree was magnificent. The daily breakfast was to die for. Better than any other 5 star hotel we have experienced.

Again, we had the same issue as when at the Lausanne Palace Hotel - we assumed as we were staying in a hotel we would be able to book a table to eat meals in the hotel. Not so. Please ensure you book restaurants in advance of travellng to these two grande dame hotels!!!. The concierge was very kind and managed to get us a table at one of the hotel restaurants.

Extremely comfortable and charming property that bleeds class and culture. There is a meticulousness to it that really emphasizes quality and elegance. Everything’s clean and flawless, as to be expected from a 5-star hotel, and the design is very much infused with the style of high French/Swiss architecture.

The power outlets are unfortunately inset into the walls, and most adapters will not work. You may need to buy European chargers for your devices. Also, beware of encroaching birds during breakfast and other outdoor meals.

Exceptional location and garden (for sure the best in the Leman area) Exceptional building and spa Outstanding overall service quality

Room amenities slightly under the standard of such type or 5 stars Hotel (no coffee machine). Overall feeling that it is the "low cost room". Forgot to tell to the desk but the shower flexible has a leak probably for long I understand the business drivers for such decision. We may not belong to the most profitable segment. But it is tough to make it that explicit. Especially when some competitors in the area don't.

The room was tastefully decorated and super clean. Staffs were efficient, polite and professional.

I could not control the air conditioner, and not warm enough. There was no Nespresso machine in the room.

Excellent facility with amazing service in all aspects. This is the second time we have stayed here and we would definitely return. Tennis court and Coach available on site, making this yet an even more attractive option for those wishing to play some tennis.

Very hard to criticize anything about this property. Just hope they maintain this level of service and we look forward to returning soon.
