The BandB was a charming old house in a residential area of Lucerne. It was very close to a bus line which we used everyday with our Swiss Pass. Isabelle and her staff were very friendly and helpful.

I would suggest that the breakfast be varied a little each day. After a couple of days eating exactly the same thing, it did get a little boring. Though we got used to it, I would suggest including in the description of the attic room that the bathroom is located down a set of spiral stairs. It could potentially be a problem for some people. Also, the room must be unlocked with a key from the inside which may be a problem in case of fire.

The Bed and Breakfast Lucerne exceeded our expectations. The hosts were incredibly warm and welcoming. Every morning, we looked forward to breakfast. The location was so convenient – a peaceful and charming neighborhood with a short walk to the bus stop that takes you anywhere you would want to go. You can even walk to Old Town if you prefer. We booked the Triple Room with a shared bathroom. Despite having a shared bathroom, it was never an inconvenience. The bathroom was consistently clean, and with three on our floor, we never encountered any wait times. The room itself was a bright – very clean with comfortable beds. There was plenty of room for our luggage.

Just a heads-up for travelers with heavy luggage, be prepared to carry your bags upstairs. The room's door creaked slightly when opening and closing, which might be a minor detail for some travelers but worth mentioning for light sleepers.

Lovely characterful building. Great location, the Number 1 bus being perfect. Great communication prior to our arrival by Isabelle. Fabulous welcome by Connie who provided us with excellent information on B&B and local travel. Our room, very light. Yvonne being wonderful and very flexible with our early breakfast. The 24/7 tea / coffee making.

There were plenty of sharing bathrooms, the only problem is that all retaining, adjustable brackets for shower handsets were broken. It may be wise to provide individual shower mats in each room, so we didn't have to use the single one provided (and used by all other guests).

My mum and I stayed 1 night at the Bed + Breakfast and it was just excellent. We were greeted by the very friendly Isabel; she even helped us with our luggage. We had the attic room which has a private bathroom. Wonderful room- super spacious, cozy, comfy bed and there’s an air cond unit. Breakfast was fantastic- thumbs up to Isabel and her team. Great options of cheeses, fruits, bread, meats, cereals and egg. You get to have tea and coffee throughout your stay. It is located about 10mins bus ride into Lucerne centre but the stop is like only 3mins walk. Super convenient. I highly recommend Bed + Breakfast, just such a lovely place to stay :)

The staff here was super nice. I love the rooms (we stayed in both rooms for two and three). They were not spacious but larger than most of the places we've stayed. I really enjoyed the breakfast there. Good food and relaxing atmosphere. Plenty of bath/ shower rooms. It's a little away from the main train station, but there are a lot of buses coming like every 5 mins so I didn't feel like it was inconvenient.

Floors can be a little loud and squeaky as you walk. It was fine to me, but some might find it annoying.

breakfast is far exceeding my expectations. Staff was very warm. I thought I was going to share bathroom with many people, it turns out that each floor, there are bathrooms directly across almost each room, we were there on weekend, and I did not see any people on my floor, using bathroom or shower was not a concern at all, it is almost like a private bathroom just outside bedroom. I will stay here again, if I come back in the future.

Maybe the noisy floors but not that spoils anything, also I understand it's that they can't do more better than this but just a little bit of information from my side.

Hosts- Yvonne and owner Isabella were very warm, welcoming, helpful in making reservations. We were able to pay for street parking through the Bed and Breakfast, which was less expensive than the usual rate. Breakfast was plentiful. There is a small communal frig available to store a few items. Everything -the room, bathrooms, eating areas and outdoor areas were kept extremely clean. Our room was made up every day, which is not always the case for a BnB property. The owner arranged for a breakfast for our final departure morning even though we were leaving earlier than the time breakfast was offered for guests at the property. Public transportation is just a block away and is included in the rate for staying in Lucerne. This is a safe location, set amongst stately homes, built 100 years ago, located only 10 minutes by tram from the old quarter of Lucerne. Very easy to navigate. I would recommend this property for couples, families, single travelers of all ages; it is quite comfortable for visits of multiple nights. The location is very good to travel outside the city to see outlying towns or mountain areas. We would definitely come back to the Bed and Breakfast.

For people such as ourselves who had a four night stay, it would have been nice to have a bit of a change in the breakfast offerings every couple of days, ie pastries, or a different selection of sliced meats and cheeses. Having said that, the breakfast offered a very good selection which included yogurt, home made granola, a fruit bowl, fresh breads, preserves, a selection of sliced meats and cheeses, a boiled egg machine, orange juice, a selection of teas and a very nice coffee machine which made espresso, cappuccino, and other special coffees.

I loved everything about this beautiful small & friendly traditional Bed & Breakfast. The steps lit up with little lamps to lead the way for our arrival, the heavy wooden door with wrought iron fittings, the excellent space in our room (6), even though there are no en-suite facilities it didn’t matter as three very ample and beautifully vintage bathrooms were outside the door a few steps away. The place is immaculately clean and the breakfast was the freshest I have taken. Local cheese, meats and boil your own eggs to how you like them with a quirky and little special machine! The fresh bread was excellent. Staff were wonderfully friendly and smiling. The photos will paint the picture! Not that I didn’t like it, but at night, when arriving back late from dinner, we tried to sneak back to our room quietly but it was impossible due to the very creaky floors and we had a fit of the giggles trying! The floors are antique tho and original, had to love them!!
