It's very close to the train station so pushing our luggages to the hotel was fairly simple and quick! Location wise it's also very close to the town square, you just need to cross the bridge so the walking distance is really manageable. Bus stops are also very close by! Staff was extremely friendly and breakfast was delectable.

The room is definitely abit bare but we didn't stay too long in the room so it wasn't really an issue.

staff were extremely nice and helpful, the room was very cozy and clean. also the location was fantastic, near to the train, lake and the ferries.

the omelettes in the breakfast were not included for free, you needed to pay to eat an omelette.

Within walking distance from the train station, the Port and Chapel Bridge. Very convenient! The hotel has a lift, amazing breakfast and the staff in the restaurant were so friendly - they really climbed deep into our hearts. We will miss them for sure

The room wasn't exactly what the picture showed on booking.com. It was much smaller and didn't have the tub chairs and coffee table that was portrayed with my booking. Instead the room had only a double bed, with desk-like coffee table & 1 chair. (More of a writing desk). It was not a big trainsmash as we were out & about for most of the time anyway.

The location right across the street from the train station is the main selling point for this property. We had a deluxe double room on the backside of the motel. The room had just been renovated and was very big and nicely appointed, and very quiet and comfortable. There was no AC at this property but the room comes with a fan and the weather was cool enough that it was not a problem. August could be a different issue. The breakfast was great. Lots of choices (scrambled eggs and bacon,and very good Swiss musli ). Lots of fresh fruit and meats and cheeses. Overall we would give the property a solid 9.5.

The Hotel was having some staffing issues. The maids were new and didn’t do that great of a job the first few nights. We complained to the management and to their credit got things straightened out the last four days we were there. The security seemed to be a bit lax at the front desk. One night manager was not very helpful when we raised a couple issues with regard to the maid. Management told us he was fired the next day for poor performance. We were told it is hard to get young people to work in the service industry. All in all this is a very good property if you stay there in the early summer before it gets really hot in Switzerland in August.

Great location in Lucerne...close to train station, Chapel Bridge. the lake, the old district, etc. Easy access to the important sites. The room was clean and as advertised. Good value. The staff was friendly and accommodating. They held our luggage while our room was readied (we arrived early). Nice breakfast.

My only comment was that our bed was close to the door and thus we could hear hallway noise. That was very limited, though. The room was basic and functional, more modern and less frills...but still a good, clean, room.

I like the hotel's central location right by Lucerne's main railway station, and superb restaurants within easy walking distance through beautiful streets. Waldstätterhof's buffet style breakfast is first rate and I'm sorry I didn't try their lunch menu. Really lovely staff, too. Thank heavens for the hotel's WiFi!

I disliked nothing about my hotel, but mobile roaming charges aren't like in Switzerland's neighbouring EU member states - it was a shock just how expensive it is. Considering that foreign visitors already accept that Swiss prices are higher than other countries, I do think that better IT/phone call charging deals could be brokered.

The location is excellent...right across the street of the main train station. The room we got is very spacious and the breakfast is superb. The staff were excellent (Hamid Asiz, Sarina, Livia) helping us for directions and other things we need. Our room has a shutter that can make your room in total darkness inducing you to sleep well. Some say it's noisy, not in our room which is facing the train station...it was very quiet. It's near the Chapel Bridge.

Our room is big but there are two posts between the bed and the bathroom...at night, when the shutter is down and the room is in total darkness, you might bump the post which I did.

The location is perfect - directly across the street from the Luzern train station and centrally located to tourist/visitor destinations. The food quality for the (included) Continental breakfast is of very good quality and there are plenty of options from which to choose.

Room setup is a tiny bit outdated. There are physical room keys instead of card keys and an older, corporate-style conference phone in the room. There’s no in-room mini bar/fridge.

Where to start!? Outstanding check in and my room was available 30 minutes earlier than I had planned. Hotel's interior was modern with a hint of yesteryear. Elevators worked fine and were quiet and stairs to the 3rd floor were easily managed with luggage. Room was soundproofed well and roomy. TV was a standard 30-inch flat screen and worked fine. Bathroom was modem with a shower head that could point straight down like a waterfall and became hot after three seconds with body wash provided and shower doors met (closed) at a corner. The breakfast which was included in my price was making me want to stay longer! From 0630 to 1030, one could graze like a Swiss cow at the buffet consisting of scrambled eggs, and bacon/sausages, Breads featuring croissants rolls, various jams and yogurts, cold water, mixed and regular orange juice along with a make-your-own-cappuccino machine (coffee of various varieties as well) rounded out the offering. All the while eating in a great restaurant setting! If I had day trips to other Swiss locations, I can walk out the front door 300 meters and be at the Bahnhof and off for an augmented adventure to Geneva, Zurich, or the nearby Swiss Alps.

Nothing really as the location was great and 400 meters from the Kapellbrücke (Chapel Bridge) and the center of Luzern proper. A clean operation with a great Staff!

Location is excellent, right in the heart of Luzern with easy access on foot to most of the sights. Pulic transport is also close by... The room was small (but large enough to be comfortable), clean and well equipped. Breakfast was pretty standard for a hotel - nothing out of the ordinary, but very tasty...

For my first time in Switzerland (I live in Germany), the price was a bit of a shock, but I was assured by colleagues that this is normal and certainly not expensive by Swiss standards...
