Loved Everything about this place. Felt like home, especially because Tanya and Richard welcome you like family. The property is better than what you see in the pictures. Its a proper Swiss Chalet away from the crowd of the city but only a 5min walk to the nearest train station and bus stop. The room was beautiful and comfortable. Had a view of the lake from the window which was refreshing to wake up to every morning. Also the delicious and generous breakfast spread each morning that was so loving prepared by Tanya and Richard, they will also bring fresh eggs however you like them and freshly brewed coffee every morning aside from the variety of other breakfast option. The breakfast area is just the most beautiful little dining where you can sit by the windows and enjoy the morning coffee gazing at the beautiful lake. There is a little barn next to the Hotel for any horse lovers. I can go on about this place and I will have only good things to say. Cannot wait to be back there especially for the lovely breakfasts and the morning chats with Tanya and Richard.

The view of the lake from the balcony was incredible . Breakfast included a delicious freshly cooked omelette to order. The owners were very nice and friendly.

The hotel was overpriced. The other hotels we stayed in on this trip were equally nice or nicer for much less money. There was no justification for the high rates. Also there was no refrigerator in the room and in general the place felt very ungenerous. There was a coffee/tea corner in the lobby but they were charging 4 chf per cup. For what we paid for the room they should have had free coffee and tea. There were threatening signs about how much you will be charged if you cause water damage to the floors, even damage to the hot water kettle. It felt like signs in a youth hostel. It's ok to remind guests of the rules or to be careful but there was something unpleasant about these signs. In other places the same warnings were much more polite and less threatening.

We loved absolutely everything about our stay here and have only great things to say. Richard and Tania are so incredibly warm and welcoming, we felt just like we were guests in their home. Our room was clean and cozy with a comfortable bed and a stunning view of the lake and mountains from our balcony, and everything was decorated with a personal touch. The breakfast service was such a lovely way to start our day as well, with delicious fresh brewed coffee and a beautiful spread including custom prepared eggs. The location is perfect because it is so peaceful on Brienz and just a quick 5min drive into Interlaken for the fun of the city. This is also makes a great home-base for day trips in the surrounding areas. They provide good information on popular hikes and activities nearby and were so kind to help out with dinner recommendations and provide us with a travel pass for the area. This was truly the best experience and we can not wait to come back!

Not one thing. This was the perfect balance of an intimate, cozy vibe but with luxury treatment. Thank you Richard and Tania

This place was AMAZING. We had a room with a balcony looking over the water (if you dont you can go sit at the tables outside). The weather was very overcast when we were there, so instead of going to the top of the mountain, we thoroughly enjoyed sitting on the balcony. You can even walk down the hill on a path along the water/go for a (chilly) swim, and to a church/old castle. It was very quiet and peaceful stay. The breakfast was delicious. Staff were wonderful. The train is a short walk around the corner. You can get a guest pass to get free rides into Interlaken (will not get you all the way to Lauterbrunnen or Grindlewald).

This was my favourite hotel during our honeymoon trip! The owners are kind and friendly. They decorated our room beautifully with a giant balloon, some sweets and a heartwarming card after learning it was our honeymoon. We also enjoyed the beautiful lake and mountain views outside the hotel. It is located 1 stop away from Interlaken Ost so you can get more peace and privacy away from crowds. 8-10 min walk with heavy luggages to the station. The breakfast was great, loved the hummus, cheese and variety of bread. There’s no mocha but the owner kindly asked what it’s like and made it for me, it was delicious. Thank you very much! I highly recommend this hotel for its wonderful hospitality and great views!

Stunning lakeside view from the balcony, kind and friendly staff who go out of their way to help you (they upgraded our roon for a better bed and higher floor for no extra cost which was kind - thank you so much!), delicious breakfast, comfortable bed, hot and powerful shower. It's a short ride out of interlaken but no problem at all if you have a car like we did, or i believe they also provide free bus tickets. Highly recommend choosing a room with the lakeside view, it really is unbelievable waking up to it!

Nothing major, everything was really nice. There was a small slip up from the staff almost entering our room when occupied but they apologised profusely and no harm done. Being British though, we would have liked black tea bags in the room, along with sachets of milk/cream, and also coffee. A kettle is provided but only with 2x herbal teabags so we had to go buy our own to keep up our tea-drinking habit! Also, the 'mugs' are very small and the handle is difficult to hold.

Richard and Tania were exceptional. They manage the hotel very well. Starting from check-in until check-out were very smooth. The hotel was located at a small village by the lake. It was very quiet and calm. The room was very clean and comfortable. It felt like home. Breakfast was also very nice. There were variety selections of foods and drinks. Coffee was also very good. Richard and Tania prepared and serve the breakfast for guests. Parking was available for guests. However, access to public transports were very good. Train station and bus stop were within walking distance. The view from the hotel was spectacular. We would definitely comeback to this hotel again in the future.

We love everything at this hotel. however, it would be very nice if the restaurant at the hotel can be operated again. We spoke with Richard about this. He explained that since COVID-19 pandemic it has been difficult to find staff members. Therefore, the restaurant has to be shut downed. Richard told us how to reach nearby restaurants though

Very friendly staff, loved the breakfast room.

We were put in a 3rd floor room in the apex and it had a attic feel. It was incredibly hot. There is no AC. There was scaffolding and workers banging away inches from our open windows which was awkward and detracted from the serenity that is what you are paying for. Also, I wish it would have been stated that all back rooms are feet from the railroad tracks for the local metro. So if your windows are open be prepared to hear that all day and early in the mornings.

We were very warmly greeted at our arrival to this excellent hotel, and were even provided maps and some information on good hikes to do, specifically Augstmatthorn and Lombachalp, great recommendations from our host! The room was perfect, and in a great location just 5 minutes from the train station or an hours walk from Interlaken. Breakfast was fantastic, with so many options available, from croissants, bread, samosas, yogurts, the tart, all was amazing.

We had a late check in and the staff were very accommodating, I didn't realise how close it was to transport, the hotel is near a bus stop, train station (which is only 1 stop from the main station Interlaken) and the wharf, which made it very easy for us to get around! We loved the travel pass the staff gave us which allows you to travel around Interlaken for free! Our room was perfect, I loved the unique decor of the hotel, made it very homey!
