The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was newly refurbished, it was quite beautiful, clean although a little bit small for us. I must mention though that we had a baby with us.

The breakfast was quite limited in its choices. The entrance of the hotel had a certain level of difficulty for us that we had the baby and its cradle. No lockers for skis. Unfortunately the great location of the hotel right in the main street, is limiting its available space for pretty much everything. Storage, amenities, rooms, common spaces.

Great location, steps from train station. We stayed in one of the family rooms, with a queen bed and 2 full size bunk beds. Room had lots of storage for the four of us. Also there was a balcony with a small table and chairs to sit outside. Very clean facilities.

No refrigerator in room. We travel with medicine that needs to be refrigerated and missed that detail. They were helpful at the front desk by storing it for us. Breakfast was a little bit sparse by American standards. Some bread, cheese, yogurt, croissants and fruit; also some eggs that you could hard boil, plus juice and coffee. There was enough, but nothing extra.

Clean and well located.

The very impolite lady working in the reception. We haven't any cash to pay the city taxes (just a card), but if we knew in advance that payment was required by cash, or, at least, if she had let us withdraw the money, it wouldn’t have existed any problem. She got crazy about the card payment, and, literally, threw the card machine on the receptionist's desk to show all her anger (in front of other guests). She was very disrespectful and could've spoken to us without freaking out, so we could’ve easily solved this minor thing.

The property has a very good location, 2-3 minutes walk from the train station. It’s also surrounded by many shops in the main road, so it’s very easy and comfortable if you need to go to supermarket to find snacks or food or anything.

The building and the furniture looks rather classic and not very modern. But, everything is functional. Would be nice if the hotel could put a guide book to help guests understanding the facilities.

We truly enjoyed our stay at Hotel Derby. It is located steps from the train station, so very accessible. The staff were amazingly friendly. The room was very comfortable and we even had a view of the Matterhorn! The breakfast was delicious.

It was perfect! Perhaps a bit expensive, but it was high season in Zermatt and we booked at the last minute, so not a surprise.

The room was warm and cosy. The size was decent. The location is excellent, very close to the train station and has a good restaurant.

Nothing extraordinary. can take up cheaper options if available. Have to drag luggage here and there a lot since the reception is at one place and the rooms are at another place. Breakfast was very basic, and not filling, not worth the money

None. Except they should chill a bit and smile. Oh, they don't have kettle in room and you're required to loan one from reception with a CHF 20 refundable deposit

Location is great, a couple mins walk from the train station. Room was nice, no issues. Restaurants and bars within a short walk. Matterhorn glacier ride and the high ropes near the Matterhorn glacier ride where both amazing and worth every penny.

The restaurant was average and the staff seemed nice enough but twice in 1 night I saw what I assumed to be the manager, arguing and raising his voice at his staff.

The location was really convenient. Close to the station, and on the main street with shops and all. From the balcony we could see Matterhorn peak. The downstairs restaurant was very convenient as well. Especially when we were tired the first day it was easy to make a reservation at the hotel front and had dinner. The room was very compact, wooden and had a good atmosphere. Staff was very helpful and contributed a lot for a nice stay at zermatt.

We hoped there would be a refrigerator but I guess that was too much to expect. The room was small for a family of four. Sufficient to sleep, but not possible to do anything else.

Kristiane the reception staff is very knowledgeable and helpful about Zermatt and Matterhorn. The building resembles a big Swiss chalet with Swiss wooden architectures.

On check-in, the toilet bowl (WC) has leftover tissues, looks clean though, which may be from the previous room. Restaurant food menu is just so so.
