The room was clean, tidy and the perfect size for a solo traveller. Good facilities, and glacier water straight out of the tap. An absolutely unforgettable view out of the window every morning no matter what room you are in and the centre of Zermatt is literally a 30 second walk away, as well as many beautiful viewing spots for the Matterhorn. This place is also incredibly affordable compared to many other places of accommodation in Zermatt so I would highly highly recommend! The staff are all wonderful (and English speakers as well thankfully as my German is not up to scratch!) they have a wonderful bar downstairs and a lovely glass fronted dining area and the food there was lovely. They also offer a free transport service to and from Zermatt train station when you arrive which is a god-send after a long day of travelling. All round an amazing experience, Danke Schön!

My only complaint would be no tea and coffee in the rooms but I understand logistically that is difficult. The only other thing I didn't like is that I couldn't stay for longer!

Staff are super friendly and helpful. Really appreciate that one of them came out to find me in the rain when I missed the hotel's entrance.(TIP: There's no" road line" on google and open maps, but just turn left and you'll find it. However, just call for a shuttle make things easier :P) The designs of room is so elegant and brilliant. The wood parts and furniture mix with some morden elements. The bathroom is also with bright and elgant desigen.As a single room, it is not large but enough for opening a big suitcase. The room is super clean. The plugs and lights are the best. There are many hotels in Switzerland offer plugs and lights at strange places which feels useless. It's convenient to walk to the church bridge for photos and also walk up to some trails from here. Had a 3-course meal here once and the meals are very delicious. The breakfast is also great and delicious. The Cappuccino from coffee machine was so great.There are three different themes (atmosphere) of seats in restaurant. Fun and nice.

Maybe the onlything is that the bacon is kind of too salty for me. But it's super crispy, which is great.

We stayed two nights and were upgraded to a 3 bed apartment !! It was spacious and modern with a magnificent view of the Matterhorn. Jagerhof is perfectly located. It was a 10 minute walk to the Paradise gondola or into town to catch the Gornergrat train. Breakfast was great, the only time in Switzerland we had a hot option ( scrambled eggs). We ate in the restaurant both nights and the food was high quality and reasonably priced. The front desk staff spoke perfect English and were very helpful. This was a perfect couple of days.

Hotel Jägerhof is by far one of the best places I have stayed in Switzerland. I keep going back every year whenever I get a chance. This is classed as a three-star hotel but it exceeds this in terms of service, cleanliness, and comfort. This new year I extended my stay because I was enjoying it so much (having friends also in town helped, too). My single bed room was more than sufficient for my needs. It's the staff not just the central location that makes this such a lovely place to stay; they are warm, welcoming, and professional. The dining experience is super from the cold and warm selection in morning through to the set or à la carte menu in the evening. The morning sees a mixture of hardcore skiers carbing-up before heading out, families, couples, and solo travellers like me. Try the Swiss favourites off the à la carte. As an Englishman with a love of Alpine architecture, the wood-lined area of the restaurant and bar and snug with open fire tick all the boxes. All the staff I met this time (and on previous times) have been fantastic. A huge thanks to Hanna, Daniela, and Lucia in reception, Fabio the porter, and Eric, Lukas, Fabia, and Alexandre in the kitchen (and the same thanks to all the other staff). Can't wait to come back.

1. Matterhorn view room is so fantastic, there is a balcony that you can just sit there and seeing the great view 2. Can reserve the pick up service from SBB station to hotel(round trip) 3. Room space is big and populated with many socket. 4. Dining area is comfortable with a variety of type for breakfast

1. Reception is end on 9pm, maybe sometimes earlier, it not a matter but need to let guest know what to do when emergency, for example an number to call. 2. Shower space not 100% isolated, water will spill out when showering.

This was my second stay in the hotel. I really like the friendly staff, lovely breakfast and spacious breakfast room and the location, which is a few hundred metres from the busy centre. The hotel is in a quiet corner of Zermatt, but still easy to reach by foot (no major uphill). The hotel and the rooms are extremely clean.

I guess I gave 10 points to this hotel last year, but this year’s grade is 8 because of the room. Unfortunately, the hotel seems to have different kinds of single rooms. Last year’s was one of the nicest single rooms I have stayed in, but this one was pretty uncomfortable and weird, which was quite disappointing. There is no separate toilet in the room, but the toilet seat and shower are in the room. Felt really exposed. The bed is in a weird place by the window (and since there are no thick curtains, you’ll wake up at sunrise), and all the spotlights of the room are pointing in the wrong direction, and there is no light by the desk. This room is also next to the stairs, so without earplugs you’ll wake up at 7 when people start running in the stairs.

Definitely recommended! The room is clean and comfortable, with all the equipment. It only takes about ten minutes to walk to the train station, and it is also very close to the bridge where can perfectly take pictures of Matterhorn. The shuttle bus arranged upon arrival and departure also brings a lot of convenience. The most unforgettable thing for me is every staff at the reception. They are friendly, helpful and take care of me like family. My four days stay here was perfect and I would definitely recommend it to everyone visiting Zermatt!

We loved everything about this place but the staff topped the list! We had such an amazing visit and cannot day enough about how great this hotel and staff are! Our room had such a stunning view of the Matterhorn and I truly loved taking pictures of it every morning! The restaurant and staff were exceptional and our meals were so delicious and served by an awesome wait staff. Hotel Jagerhof, all of you are now a permanent part of our life and we thank you for allowing us to share in yours! We already miss you all and cannot wait to return to your beautiful town and hotel! With our deepest appreciation!

The location is very prime with about 10 mins walk to the main street. During the walk, you will pass by the bridge with the best view of Matterhorn (which I enjoyed the view a lot). The room itself is very spacious and furnished with all I need. The front desk was very helpful in replying to my messages and telling me how to arrange for the pickup service before arrival, too. A warm welcome was given by the front desk upon check-in with a smooth process. The breakfast spread was great (in fact the best throughout my trip in Switzerland) with greens, fruits, warm food, and others!
