Location was perfect. We went to Zurich to visit the Christmas markets and there were 6 within a 10 mintue walk of the hotel. Everything and every place in old town was within a 10-15 minute walk. The central train station was a 5 minute walk from the hotel which we used to train to Vienna and back. The rooms are small compared to American hotels but standard for Europe and with 2 people it was not cramped by any means.

The room got cold one night (not unbearable) and the temperature is not adjustable via the thermostat in the room due to local government policies. I would recommend figuring out the tram/train route from the airport as a taxi cost about 60 CHR ($75).

Location, quiet with good sound insulation, attentive front desk and cleaning personnel, great public transportation as well as plenty of restaurants, cafes, and convenience stores nearby. A coop supermarket is only 7 minutes away by foot.

Size of room, too tight in the bathroom, no space to accommodate lots of luggage/bags, not enough hangers. Not suitable for long stays / elderly people. Entrance has a few steps without a ramp which makes it difficult to bring in heavier and bigger bags.

This hotel worked perfectly fine for our 1 night in Zurich after arriving on a long flight and departing the next morning on our Swiss adventures. It is about a 10 minute walk from the train station on the other side of the river, but very close to the main tourist area with all the restaurants, churches, etc. This was one of the few hotels on our trip where the sink was in the bathroom behind a closed door – a fact I always appreciate since I get up much earlier than my husband to shower and get ready. The bathroom was a good size and I loved the backlit mirror and separate magnified makeup mirror. I would recommend this hotel as a base for exploring Zurich. It is fun and thematic (the bedside tables looked like stacked chocolate bars and so did the room number on the door), and everything was modern and clean.

Note that this hotel has two self-check-in machines in order to get your room key, and one is outside the hotel itself (the other is inside a very tight reception area). This is not exactly ideal if you’ve arrived late at night on your own or if it is raining, as you do have to stand outside at the machine for several minutes.

The hotel is just the opposite side of the train station by across the river which is pretty close for us. And at that time this hotel is the cheapest one which I think it is good value for staying they also have chocolate to try in front of the lobby and storage room to store before I check in at 3 PM

Not significant things that I don’t like. Because I think it’s related with the money I spent. Oh, I think of one thing the room is pretty small and I can open the luggage for two people at the same time otherwise you don’t have the space to walk

The property is centrally located. The location suited our needs as we were arriving and departing by train from the main station. During our stay we used trams to move about. The tram system is very efficient and trams depart and return within 100m of the hotel. We were warmly welcomed by Guillermo. Guillermo and his colleagues were attentive throughout our stay. The housekeeping staff are friendly and engaging. The hotel is within walking distance to shops, cafes and eateries of the old town. We would recommend this property to family and friends.

On our first night, it felt like the AC system was not working. Apart from this, we had no issues.

Hotel was on the door step off all restaurant's,Railway station,Water front and trams.Hotel was at the best place for all different things everyone likes to do on holiday. Trains every ten minutes to airport, Shopping and more shopping amazing shops. we had a great time.

The room .would have been great for two Adults, the room had no wardrobe for the clothes space you had a rail with coat hangers above the tea and coffee area we had a party of three. there was no drawers for small clothing items. the room was very clean and tidy but compact for Three adults.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Swiss Chocolate by Fassbind in Zurich, and it was an experience to remember. The hotel boasts an excellent location, merely a stone's throw away from the train station, making commutes and explorations incredibly convenient. A delightful surprise awaited in the lobby – a mesmerizing chocolate fountain, which is a testament to the Swiss's love for their world-famous chocolates. My stay was thoroughly comfortable, with all amenities ensuring relaxation and peace. Additionally, the check-in and check-out processes were smooth and hassle-free. I highly recommend Swiss Chocolate by Fassbind for a genuine Swiss experience in the heart of Zurich!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Swiss Chocolate by Fassbind in Zurich, and while there were many highlights, there were a couple of aspects that left room for improvement. The in-room amenities could use an upgrade, and the dining options, given the stature of the hotel, were a tad limited. Additionally, the charge of CHF50 for a late checkout (even by an hour) after a week-long stay was surprising. I would have anticipated such a minor extension to be complimentary. That said, the Swiss Chocolate by Fassbind offers a genuine Swiss experience in the heart of Zurich, and I would love to be back to stay at this fine hotel.

Very well located, close to shops, restaurants and sights, walking distance to the central train station. Very cute design, chocolate-shaped signs on doors, nightstands etc. The chocolate fountain downstairs is available all day. Good price for Zurich.

Room looks good, but is very small. Bathroom was tiny as well, there was no towel radiator or other heating inside, so very hard to dry things out. They charge extra for earlier check-in (and they do this to the minute). Breakfast space is also small, smaller than I imagined from the photos.

location was great, just 5 minutes from Zürich HB and next to Tram Central and polybahn station. it’s a quiet street though as we arrived the day of the Parade and there was zero noise; hotel crew were really nice with us and always kind with our toddler. they provided us with a cot for free (this service is not free in many hotels nearby) and made an upgrade for us so we could be more comfortable with the baby. they gave us chocolates everyday as a gift when we were leaving in the morning. breakfast is not big in terms os variability but nice quality and all the essentials to enjoy it plenty. it’s the second time we stay at this hotel and we’ll come back 100%

Amazing windows to keep out the street noise. Good location near the train station and old town. Comfortable room with fridge and coffee/tea making supplies. Hotel had an interesting decor in room and hallways - well done chocolate theme.

Would prefer a walk in shower. Tub was high and awkward to get in and out of. Anyone with mobility issues would not be comfortable here. One one luggage stand built in, could use a portable one for a second suitcase.
