The room was spacious and well-equipped, with a comfortable bed and seating area. Complimentary water, orange juice and prosecco was provided, as well as tea and coffee. The bathroom was modern and stocked with toiletries. The location was perfect - a lovely quiet square just a short walk from the city centre. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the cocktails in the bar downstairs were delicious!

It's a very minor complaint, but it would have been useful to have somewhere to hang clothes. There was no wardrobe or hangers - just a row of four coat hooks. There was a bit of mildew in the corners of the shower, but otherwise everything was very clean. The lift was out of order for the duration of my stay, but the staff offered to help me up the stairs with my case.

Excellent location, lovely bar/lounge area and friendly staff. Complementary drinks in the fridge were a welcome extra, together with good tea and coffee facilities. Nice artistic touches with rope designs and rope light fittings. Plentiful breakfast. We will be coming up to Birmingham quite often because a close family member has moved here and we are looking for somewhere to stay, on our visits

Parking at £21.50 is a bit steep. We booked with another couple via booking.com, paid same amount but found that our room was tiny compared to theirs. They had a bigger space, larger television and a leather sofa and other extras. That was disappointing. There could be a booking that includes breakfast too. Big areas were dusted but smaller areas like telephone were very dusty. We may need try some other hotels to decide on our regular trips up to Birmingham.

The room is clean and tidy, I requested for clean my room everyday, It does very well after my day tour during my stay. Breakfast was fab., provide variety of options. In Room min bar is excellent ( It will be perfect if it can along some small snacks). I only can tell the Bar at ground floor LOOK nice for me, since I don't drink alcohol.

I have resevered for 4 night in same room. I disappointed for the first 2 nights (Fri & Sat) for my stay. Since my room was arranged at the 1st floor which exactly above the outdoor tables for customers, the first night (friday night) I couldn't fell sleep until 2:00am. 2nd night was a bit better, the noise stop at 1:00am. I strongly recommend the room can replace with sound insulation window. It would be pleasent for visitors.

The reception staff are excellent - just about the friendliest and most helpful I've come across anywhere. The lift/elevator wasn't working and my impression was that it hadn't worked for a long time and there are no plans in place to get it repaired. Overall a very pleasant hotel with character and I would be happy to stay here again. I definitely prefer rooms at the front for the lovely view of the trees and the church. A bit of noise from people talking below in warm weather but they stopped early and it was no problem at all for me.

The mini fridge in my room wasn't working on one visit (2 visits, 2 different rooms). The hotel lift wasn't working.

Bar was lovely and accommodation was lovely clean and very comfortable. Lift not working, but was only first floor so no issue for me. Staff were extremely helpful and polite. Parking was a great and convenient, only thing I would say is shame RingGo do not offer less than 24 hours as I wanted to extend for 4 hours and couldn't, but drove into centre of city and parked there so no real problem, would be good if room could include breakfast but was easy enough to book on arrival. Overall brilliant stay and would come back.

Nothing really. Great hotel, location with parking, would recommend. Great value for money and really lovely staff who could not do enough for you.

The room was fabulous. Good size. Absolutely spotless. The fridge was a great addition and the complimentary water, prosecco and orange juice was a wonderful surprise. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The view was great too. The building itself and the decor is beautiful.

It was very noisy. Being st the front of the building meant we heard the coming and going from the bar until late. The walls are really thin and we could hear the neighbouring room having loud, drunk conversations at 4.30am. And the cleaning staff were loud in the morning. The lift didn't work either which was a bit of a problem as my health means stairs are a struggle.

The staff were friendly and the location was ideal for us to attend a concert at the Arena as well as only a short walk. This was the same for in the morning when we walked to the centre for some shopping. Also the food was lovely for both our evening meal and for breakfast (Full English).

I didn't realise at the time but I was a little disappointed with the room the booking stated that I had been upgraded to a superior room but on arrival and looking back I realised this wasn't the case it appears it was just a normal double and it lacked a little in my expectation which took the shine of our stay slightly. With there being the two of us, there was only one robe. Also, the complementary drinks (which is nice to see)had a small bottle of wine, small orange and a bottle of water. However, the water bottle had already had the seal broken and some water taken. Probably would be hard to spot when servicing a roombut it stopped us from drinking it. The room was tidy however there were Scuffs on the panelling which made the room look a little bit tired in areas

This was our second time staying at Saint Paul's House. It is in a great location with easy access to all major attractions. From the outside, the hotel appears small, but once inside, it is deceivingly spacious and stylish. The bar was popular, and the atmosphere was vibrant, yet still it was easy to find a seat in the tastefully furnished seating area. Our room was immaculately clean with super--efficient aircon, a welcome treat during very warm weather.

Unfortunately, one of the waitresses at breakfast was extremely rude. We spoke with the restaurant manager, who was very apologetic and refunded the breakfast charge from our bill. The lift was still out of order (not great when you have bad knees). Thankfully, our room was situated on the first floor.

It has always had a good atmosphere, food, staff and rooms and I enjoy the location.

Something has changed with the catering. Small cups of coffee and tea. Had to ask for butter for my toast. Had to ask for more than one slice of toast for my scrambled eggs on toast Has it always been one sausage and one bacon with the breakfast? It just seems that they are penny-pinching on the food, but I do understand prices have gone up, but it really made a difference to my experience and will think twice before spending the day working at the hotel with collleagues.

On the whole a very nice place. The hotel is above a pretty vibrant (noisy) bar / pub. We specifically picked st. Paul's house because parking & distance to the Utilita arena (we had tickets for Elton John). 15 minute taxi ride away or a 20 minute walk along the canal which was interesting. Nice clean room, decorated to a pretty good standard. Good sized tv, tea/coffee making facilities.Cool neutral colours with lovely wood paneling. Small but very nice shower room. Plenty of sockets incl USB charging points. I must mention the staff, all of which were extremely friendly, polite & helpful - Thanks. I would definitely stay there again. If you're an electrician check out the lighting throughout, done by committee. Every type of cable, fitting & design.

Unfortunately the lift doesn't work and we were 6 flights of stairs to our room. The pub / bar below can be noisy, we didn't hear a thing but there were others complaining about the noise. Parking is expensive for guests I think. Despite booking only 24hrs prior and being 'genius ' traveller, the price dropped significantly on the day and was still expected to pay £15 for parking and £15 each for breakfast which was massively disappointing considering we liked the place.
