I prefer to have my morning coffee and sandwiches for my breakfast in the room and your rooms are very well equipped for both tea and coffee. There is a little fridge in the room where it is possible to keep some snacks. And I like such treatment in the room like fruit, drink, biscuits and a veriaty of teas. It was very hospitable.

I didn't like that it is impossible to get a refund in case if something can go wrong and a visiter has to cancel his/her booking. I think it's not fare, we can't always predict what may happen. And another stange and unacceptable thing was to take a visitor's bank card's detailed information. It is too private information to be taken in that situation. It would be much more honest to check the room out before the visitor leaving and ask him to pay for some damages.

The hotel happened to be even better than we expected. Everything was in pristine condition, clean and comfortable. A lot of little details that make your stay comfortable, tea and coffee - not only teabags but tea and coffee pots with everything needed. The bathroom is well and smartly designed. And the location is next to the Cabot tower and museum of art. Harbour and Clifton bridge are in walking distance, couldn't be better. Lovely staff, very helpful, always available. Strongly recommend that hotel, worth the money

Nothing, I liked everything

Location excellent to all major attractions, Room was more than adequate to suit a stay of six nights, Breakfast choice was very good to suit all tastes, Staff were all helpful and polite. great value for money

There was a noisy after hours club/function room in basement area that seemed to spill out into street in the early hours but only a problem if a light sleeper or had the windows open and was mentioned when booking not a massive problem for me

Literally needed an overnight stay in Central(ish) Bristol. This was the perfect spot for my needs. I obtained a very good price via Booking.com so couldn't be happier. Staff were all very attentive and helpful at all times. Given that I'd obtained such a good price it was refreshing to see little touches in the room such as free fruit, sherry, etc. I will most definitely be staying again. For me its mostly about location but when the experience was so good I feel had a very good deal altogether.

Nothing worthy of mention.

We asked for - and got - a quiet room, and it was on the ground floor, so we didn't need to use the hotel lift. It was a large room with a massive bed - larger than superking size - which was warm and comfy. The bathroom had a walk-in shower, big enough for two. Also nice complementary toiletries. We had a fridge with fresh milk for tea/coffee, a small bowl of fresh fruit and a small decanter of Bristol cream sherry - which I like, so that was a welcome treat. The hotel has a stylish lounge and dining room, with a great choice on both breakfast and dinner menus. The food and service were lovely. The hotel is at the top of a hill, very handy for Bristol Museum and a few minutes' walk downhill to the harbourside and aquarium.

Little things. The room was at the back of the hotel, where there's a outside patio area which is illuminated by floodlights all night. It wasn't in use when we stayed, so silent, and the huge Georgian windows were curtained with thick, lined curtains BUT they didn't close well and they were coming off the ends of the rails, so there was a lot of bright light shining into the room. The heated towel rail in the bathroom didn't heat up and the hairdryer seemed to have a loose wire inside but it worked when you got used to it.

The room was comfortable and spacious with a nice view on the front side of the hotel. Location is slightly uphill, but in a very quiet, relaxed and safe area.

When I needed to book a taxi for some reason the receptionist just decided that I was checking out and gave the airport address to the taxi company. The taxi driver was totally pissed off as he thought he had a trip to the airport, and rightly so. I cannot understand why the receptionist assumed I was going to the airport, and, moreover, the reception knew that it wasn't my last day residing at the hotel!

lovely location, great parking and the cute little extras in the room were amazing. I’ve not been to many hotels where you have sherry for a nightcap in the room and lovely ground coffee and loose leaf tea (plus the appropriate making equipment) at my disposal. Fresh milk in the fridge was a lovely touch too. Full size Elemis products in the bathroom were divine. The hotel bar downstairs was a great setting and the barmen were on fine form with their cocktail making - highly recommend an espresso martini with rum instead of vodka!

the bed wasn’t the most comfortable - don’t get me wrong it wasn’t awful but the mattress wasn’t the best for us - certainly wouldn’t put me off revisiting though

Great location, lovely welcoming staff. Tea and proper cafetière coffee in rooms. Also sherry and fruit were thoughtful touches. Breakfast was delicious though would have liked to try the compressed melon, next time, as will return.

Sadly my bathroom door didn’t close, though no buggy as a single room. One set of WCs in the bar were broken, not so good i imagine for the wedding that was on. My shower broke, but could have happened at any time, reception came straight up and a maintenance person arrived with in 20 mins, he probably fixed that wc too. So they couldn’t have been more on it. If you need quiet then it’s town centre so not for you!

We stay on a fairly regular basis. The rooms are excellent value for money. I greatly appreciate that each room is fitted with their own personal thermostats which allows us to determine how hot the room is. As always the hotel is in an excellent location in the centre of Bristol albeit that it is located in a quite square just off Park Road. Reception staff were,as always, excellent.

During our stay there were a couple of private parties in dining room and there was some transfer of noise into the first floor rooms. However, what noise that there was stopped by 11pm.

Staff are always super friendly and helpful, let me into the room a hour ahead of checkin time. Nice touches in the room with a small sherry (which remained untouched!), fruit, biscuits & leaf tea and real (not instant) coffee. Comfy bed and all the facilities I needed (desk, chair), fridge. It's good value for money.

The room was small & the window would not stay open without jamming something underneath to hold it open. The shower is over the bath which was fine but I struggled to get the taps to work (probably my fault). It's lovely to have fresh milk but it is full cream and curdled the tea - guess I should ask for semi-skimmed! So no real complaints, except the window!
