A great central location 10 minutes walk from Temple Meads station, friendly staff, excellent price although I did book it 9 months ago. Nice breakfast options.

The toilet made a high pitched whine every time it finished flushing. Every flush I had to lift the cistern lid and adjust the flush valve to stop the noise. The shower waste was pretty blocked and it filled up with water pretty quickly. It was more like a paddling pool and I was wary of showering too long in case the tray overflowed. Personally I found the bed mattress very soft. Not a complaint as such but did affect my back/neck a bit the next day.

The beds and pillows were comfortable, the room was a standard size. Fresh breakfast made to order , along with continental breakfast whilst you wait. Staff are attentive and polite. The hotel doesn't necessarily have a bar , it has an Honesty bar, you can help yourself and it will be assigned to your room to be settled at check out. I didn't use this service though.

In the main town of Bristol which is great, but expect the local clubs and bars to be loud until early hours. The hotel is situated right next door. Although the hotel does provide good double glazing, it does help a little . Maybe ask for a quieter room if this bothers you. I did request extra bathroom towels before arrival, a reply stated this would be noted in my room information. When I arrived I was told extra towels will be a fee of £10. I decided to go into town and purchase a cheap towel just to dry my hair. If I'd known beforehand, I would have brought an extra towel.

Location was so central and actually we loved the quirkiness of it being set back and you actually wouldn't have realised it was there. The room was perfect for a short stay everything you needed if you were planning to not spend a lot of time in the room. However the breakfast was the best brilliant choice and very delicious. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

The room was quite hot and we had to open the windows and because of the location it was quite noisy but this was expected so didn't bother us - still had a great night's sleep

The staff were super friendly and helpful. The location was perfect, right next to the indoor market and a whole host of restaurants, bars, clubs and shops. It was a 20min walk from the Train station and 5mins to the Hippodrome Theatre.

We stayed on a Friday night and I didn't anticipate the night life would be so loud or keep going til 5am. Obviously not the fault of Brooks Guesthouse, but something to bear in mind. My only tiny complaint is that the pillows and duvet were feather, and I'm too awkward to ask if there was an alternative. If I wasn't already on prescription antihistamine, I'd have spend the night with my nose streaming as I'm allergic.

Lovely setting. Good room and comfy bed. Friendly staff on reception. Good central location. Nice breakfast, which was served quickly. Good WiFi.

Knees hit very hot towel rail while sat on the toilet (and I'm fairly short). Very loud. Lots of bars nearby. I slept well after going to buy some earplugs. Hot room but too loud to open the window. Stood for ages at breakfast waiting, and staff member kept doing bits and didn't acknowledge me. In the end, I asked if I could sit anywhere, and it seemed like I was a great inconvenience for asking - noticed it was the same for others too.

Fantastic location. We stayed there after our trip to the theatre which was only a 5 min walk away. Loved being right by St Nicks market as well. Loads of bars & restaurants nearby. Bed was very comfy and the room was nicely decorated. Also very quiet despite being so central. Lovely cooked breakfast as well.

There was a very bad smell in our room (room 9) - I think this may have been a damp smell from the bathroom. It was very noticeable when we walked in which was a shame. Unsure if anything can be done about it but air fresheners of some sort in the room might help. We aired the room when we arrived which helped a bit.

We were made welcome as soon as we arrived. Easy check-in. 1 room out of 5 was ready so we could leave our bags and get on with our visit. The receptionist (sorry, we didnt get your name), was exceptional. She helped with maps and recomendations. The hotel was central to everything, markets, shops, bars and places to eat. We booked 2 caravans and 3 rooms, for our annual christmas girly break.

Nothing to say here, except, 1 caravan was quite late before it was ready. Also the step down from the caravans is quite steep. Maybe a 2 rung step would be easier/safer.

Really lovely place! Room was very nice, had a modern feel, very nicely designed. Everything seemed clean. Bed was incredibly comfortable, staff were helpful and kind. Nice indoor and outdoor common seating areas. Breakfast was nice, and they even gave a french-press of coffee. Highly recommend staying here!

The tiny tubes of shampoo/shower gel etc. felt a little silly, since there was barely anything in them and you could easily run out. Plus it's always awkward to unscrew them while trying to shower. I think it would be much better to provide bigger bottles with a press mechanism or flip-up cap.

Location in the old city centre close to St Nicholas markets is a great base for exploring Bristol. The guesthouse is nicely secluded off an alley beside the markets. Decor is tasteful and thoughtful. We found all the staff we encountered friendly, relaxed and happy to make our stay enjoyable. Excellent breakfast made while at our request. We would definitely comeback to the Bristol Brooks Guesthouse for a stay the next time we plan to visit Bristol.

The good quality quilts were a bit warm for the unusually nice weather in September. There was a blanket on the bed too which we could have swapped in retrospect.

Centrally located in Bristol, inside the food market. Room was large and comfortable and the breakfast which was included in the rate was very good. The staff was friendly and helpful.

We had a room on the ground floor with the windows facing out in the courtyard near the public entrance. It was very noisy late in the night. Bristol city center is quite dodgy nowadays and it felt a bit uncomfortable to leave the windows open (it was very hot) whilst we slept, as one could easily enter through it from outside (the main gate is locked at 23:00, but guests can come in anytime). It’s not really to do with the hotel itself but more with the state of the area in general.
