Big shout out to all the staff and in particular Steven Wilmer and the chef. Superb food every night and immaculate attention to detail. Steven went above and beyond to make our stay memorable.

If we have to mention something it would be this: The room was great in terms of location to the garden for our little dog but compared to other rooms it felt a little less special. The bathroom Walls are peeling paint and condensation has caused damage near the shower tray. No feature wall paper and a very tight squeeze on the left hand side of the bed. There are also no drawers to put clothes in and nowhere to hang coats.

Beautiful old property inside and out, the room we had which was a deluxe double was immaculately clean, spacious, rustic and comfortable. The pub and gardens were very cosy and looked great lit up with fairy lights in the evening. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was good but I wouldn’t say quite justifies the price. But all round we had an amazing stay and would 100% stay again.

One radiator in our room didn’t seem to work even when adjusted so the room was quite cold. Not bad enough to give us issues but would have been nice a touch warmer.

Beautiful room - well appointed and fully stocked with hot chocolate, tea, coffee and even fresh milk in the fridge to have with our tea! The breakfasts were excellent with posh ingredients (e.g. a generous helping of sourdough toast with the smoked salmon and scrambled egg), a great selection and beautifully cooked to order.

I'm really scraping the barrel to find something to say, but it would have been useful to have tissues in the room, and there was a faulty light over our breakfast table which kept flickering. However, these are very minor points and didn't mar the overall enjoyment of our stay.

The room was decorated lovely. It had a very cosy quirky feel which we loved. The bed was huge and SO comfortable, we slept really really well. The coffee machine, fresh milk and minced pies were a nice touch!

Our shower overflowed after a short amount of time in it and the temperature of the shower/ taps were difficult to work out. We could hear quite a lot of noise from the pub terrace below but to be expected I guess!

The room was gorgeous, tastefully decorated with the most comfortable and massive sized bed, divine bathroom with brilliant shower and spotlessly clean. The breakfast menu had a large range of cooked food and plenty to choose from the breakfast table; croissants, a variety of fresh juices and fruit, and lovely yoghurts with granola The restaurant and bar area were characterful and charming, the food was delicious. We ate at the hotel on two nights, we didn’t book as we weren’t sure what time we would get back, after a day’s outing in such a lovely part of the country. However, nothing was too much trouble and we were seated and served quickly, once we mulled over the choice of food. The garden area was beautiful to sit in and enjoy food and drinks, lovely furniture and plenty of tables. All staff were polite and cheerful, and the only downside was we only stopped for two nights, I wish we had stayed longer and would definitely recommend the Wheatsheaf Inn.

Absolutely nothing, no negative thoughts or comments.

Beautiful property with a lovely outside area. Unfortunately the weather wasn’t on our side but the inside eating area was lovely and cosy also. Bedroom was beautiful. Bed very comfy and spacious.

Unfortunately the tv wasn’t working the best, Netflix was an option but wouldn’t load. Bathroom had condensation drips all down the walls and the shower had a tendency to continue dripping after use.. however all minor in the grand scheme of things and for what we paid.

Booked at last minute following decision not to stay in a poor nearby property. This property was everything the other was not, warm, welcoming, good value and very comfortable indeed. It was actually also cheaper than the other property which brought into sharp contract the difference between the two and the fact that you need to treat reviews carefully.

Very much enjoyed the stay. Apart from a slightly malfunctioning toilet flush everything was perfect.

The hotel and room were absolutely stunning, with real care taken over even the little details. The staff there were excellent and gave us the exact type of room we wanted and even gave a complimentary bottle of bubbles in the room as it was my partners birthday. Sitting in the hotel garden for a drink and a meal was lovely and the food was great.

We didn't realise when booking that the hotel wasn't really a walkable distance to Bourton-on-the-Water, which meant that even to the nearest larger town we had to drive. However this was our mistake and the hotel does benefit from being a bit quieter and less touristy as a result!

Love, love, love the decoration. The room is very well decorated and stylish. The bed was comfy and I love the amenity provided. Bathroom products smelled lovely. Staff are very nice and accommodating. It was a busy evening and morning at the restaurant but they tried their best to assist. I had a very lovely dinner and breakfast. There were decent choices of breakfast for you to pick.

The room still smell of paint and it was pretty toasting in May even with the window open. I talked to a member of staff and was informed it is due to hot water pipe in the room. He offered me a fan but there was already one in the room, on with full speed but that didn't help much. The picture of room category on booking was a little misleading. I tried to book for a room with a bath tub but ended up having none; but perhaps that was just me being confused. Other than that, the room was just like in the pictures.

The location of the hotel is in a great spot, very near burton on water. Great atmosphere in the hotel, rooms decorated nicely, comfortable bed and amazing bath tub. Breakfast was cooked perfectly, very tasty.

I think for the price you pay there should be more complimentary snacks/drinks included in the room. Car park was quite small and on street parking filled up quickly so was difficult to find a parking space. Unfortunately the fire alarm accidentally went off at 6:30 am, obviously a one off but slightly annoying none the less.
