Holiday Inn was not yet open but I was transferred to the Ibis who were very helpful. The hotel was very clean the staff excellent and the food they were able to offer good. The hotel was in an ideal location for terminal 2 just a few minutes walk.

Very helpful and friendly staff. Quick check in and check out. Room pleasantly large, windows can be darkened very well. Very quiet, no airplane noise perceptible and well soundproofed. Bed very comfortable. Large bathroom with large walk-in shower cubicle! WiFi everywhere in the hotel area very good. Finally a hotel again where a rich assortment of breakfast buffet is offered and not only the typical English breakfast. The restaurant is recommended, although it is a bit too expensive for the small portions.

The room temperature is controlled by central air conditioning. You can turn it off manually, but the fan still runs and blows directly to the bed. Windows cannot be opened for ventilation. When you arrive at the train station and walk to the hotel, there are no signs to the hotel, which are there for the other hotels (except down on the street/road and this is too far and unpleasant), because the hotel is very convenient and easy to reach directly from the station and airport via the skywalk!

Friendly and caring staff. Comfortable, quiet rooms and ultra-modern, clean bathrooms. The front desk even accommodated our early arrival, despite there being a huge influx of guests due to the air traffic controller problem the day before. The bar staff was particularly kind and helpful.

Our only grumble was that we and 2 guests booked a table at the restaurant; we were sat next to a party of 6 very loud guests. They made so much noise that we could hardly hear each other talk at times--and 2 of our party were hard of hearing. When at the dessert course we asked to change tables (after noting there were quite a few tables available in quieter parts of the restaurant), we were told no. I would definitely book here again, but I do think the restaurant could have been more accommodating.

Brand new hotel with good facilities, really comfortable bed, good curtains that kept the light out and walking distance from the airport (quite a long walk, but almost entirely along the indoor connecting walkways), had really lovely experience with the helpful staff, special mention to Mustafa for all his help and advice that made our stay particularity convenient.

Although the walk to the hotel from terminal 1 is almost fully indoors with automatic travelling walkways, the automatic walkways were not (yet) functional which meant the walk was quite long (around 20 to 25mins). This was not the fault of the hotel and there were lots of signs that said the walkways would be functioning soon which would greatly reduce the waking time and make the location of this hotel even more convenient

Location is perfect for terminal 2 Manchester airport. Terminal one is a 15 minute walk inside the terminal building. There is a hotel inside the terminal building which is closer, but it’s more expensive. This hotel seemed brand new. Gym was well equipped. So this is a comfortable hotel, brand new, good facilities and 1 minute walk from terminal 2.

Staff at the coffee shop didn’t know what they were doing. Couldn’t work the till so took 5 mins before they took my order while they worked out to operate the till for the previous customer. Then couldn’t work it for my order. Then the price charged for 3 drinks on the till differed from the display board. Eventually they gave me one drink for free because they couldn’t get the price on the till to match the display board. All in 25 mins from me ordering to paying, by which time I finished my coffee 😂. I assume they will work it out eventually. Ate elsewhere in the evening in case the food orders took as long.

The breakfast was excellent, and the staff were friendly, helpful, and kind. They showed an excellent level of interest in the guests and so this didn't actually feel like an airport hotel. Landed at Manchester late at night and stayed one night before travelling home. Would definitely stay again. The beds were so comfortable.

I love a really good cup of coffee in the morning and some of the coffee machines in hotels just don't cut it, but thats not a reason not to choose this hotel.

Location excellent. Chosen on information when i booked the flight that it was going from terminal 2, but later told flights leave from terminal 1 so was a bit of a walk to terminal 1. Easily accessed via the Skylink tunnel in terminal 2. Room exceptionally clean, not a speck of dust. I was allocated a room on a newly opened floor. Soundproof, exceptionally clean room and bathroom, toiletries available. Very comfortable bed. I left too early for breakfast as had an early flight. Check in staff very welcoming (shout out to Callum!),check in was straightforward. Extra tea/ coffee available from check in desk on request. I have never used Holiday Inn before, but i will do again if this is the standard!

nothing.

Really liked the location of the property as it was steps away from Terminal 2 which was so useful first thing in the morning. The hotel looks very new so that was lovely as all of the amenities were so clean, the bathroom was absolutely spotless! Comfortable bed and it was a reasonable price considering the location to the terminal. The food at the Turkish restaurant was really great, they were so busy but they managed to seat us quickly and our food didn’t take too long and our server was very good as she must have been under a lot of pressure.

The check in wasn’t the best, they were very busy but it didn’t feel very welcoming and they assigned us a twin room even though I’d previously requested a double a month or two beforehand. I get it when you’re fully booked but just didn’t feel the best.

If you’re flying through Manchester airport on a late night arrival or an early morning departure, sleeping at the airport is sensible, and this newly opened property is a good all-rounder choice. It’s very close to Terminal 2 and walking distance to the other terminals (though it’s worth bearing in mind that Manchester Airport is very spread out, so not a *short* walk). My room was pleasantly decorated and spacious, with the essentials for a short stay: a kettle, a safe, and plug outlets near the bed. Toiletries in the bathroom are limited to liquid soap by the sink and all-purpose shower gel/shampoo in the shower, thankfully in environmentally friendly refillable dispensers. Off the lobby is a restaurant and bar, which is important given the distinct shortage of amenities groundside in the terminals. Both dinner and breakfast exceeded my expectations (which admittedly are low when it comes to midrange hotel restaurants).

The only point of criticism is a numerical inbalance between staff and guests. I had a ten-minute wait to check in, and when I returned to the lobby an hour later, the queue was easily three times longer than the one I had stood in. The staff were very pleasant and extremely efficient; there just aren’t enough of them. The polite young woman who eventually checked me in wished me a pleasant stay, nearly making me giggle. You don’t spend a night in an airport hotel to have a good time; you do it because it’s a necessary step toward getting to, or back from, the place where you’ve planned to have a good time. This hotel is more than fit for that utilitarian purpose.

This will be our hotel of choice now when departing from MAN. It is across from T2 and a short 10-15 minute walk across the skywalk to T1. You could theoretically walk by road but I would not do this with kids due to some challenging intersections. We parked at the Jet3 car park which was a 10-15 minute bus ride from T2. The shuttle bus stops at all terminals and runs every 15 minutes. We dropped our luggage at the hotel then moved the car to the car park (10 minute drive away). All in all it took 40 minutes to get back to the hotel with the shuttle bus.

There is no 4G in the hotel so you must connect to the free wi-fi to make/receive calls/messages. There is very limited parking as the tiny car park is shared with another hotel.
