We absolutely loved our stay at the Wheatsheaf Inn ! The staff couldn't do enough for us ..they were all so friendly and helpful ! The food was outstanding and the rooms were furnished to a high standard ! The breakfast in the morning was fabulous with such a wide range to choose from, cereals, toast, yoghurt, croissants etc .. then you could order a full English or even just a breakfast bap depending on how hungry you were. The location is spot on, with lots of lovely places to visit nearby, such as Settle, Hawes and Skipton to name but a few. We joined the pub quiz on Monday night which was fun ! If you have a dog, you are in for a treat, the whole pub and the rooms are all dog friendly and your dog will get a little treat pack on arrival .. such a nice touch ! The value was brilliant .. and the food and drinks very reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend !

Great atmosphere within - especially in the bar and dining area, the staff were a delight and couldn’t do enough for you. Check in was friendly, quick and efficient. The food and drinks were of a high quality especially the breakfast. Tea/coffee facility in room was a great touch and had an extensive selection. Great car parking on site and location was ideal for the Falls trail and other areas.

Room was fine and bed was comfortable but the room just lacked slightly in respect to decor, eg pictures on walls for example Bathroom was cleaned adequately but could do with a deep clean occasionally on walls and tile area, but that’s just nit picking.

Lovely location, lovely staff, comfortable room, easy parking and free pub quiz to boot on a Monday night, which was fun. The menu was part of the Country Village Inn chain, which is more than reasonable. However, two gems were the excellent ham given in a light bites meal and the ice cream offered, which was the superb English Lakes variety. Breakfast was spot on with a good selection of full English and continental offerings. Maps on the wall were a nice touch as were the lovely complimentary Country Village Inn handmade shortbread biscuits. Well run operations. Compliments to all involved.

The only criticism I can make is that the room was clean with the exception of some attention to detail like light switches, dusty shelves and one or two not so clean cups and cutlery.

The room was spacious, clean and the en-suit also. The breakfast was excellent and much better than provided anywhere else. Really, exceptional produce and quality. The downstairs bar was vibrant, well stocked and fun.

Only the terrible lighting in the room which was ridiculously ill-thought out. Both the main light and the bedside light were bear bulbs which shone straight into your face and eyes, so we had to put the bedside light on the floor and walk around in the dimness.

All the food we ate was excellent. Our booking was for B&B. But we also had our evening meal there. It was delicious. Breakfast was also very tasty. A good choice from both dinner and breakfast menus. Nothing was too much trouble for all of the staff we encountered. From checking in, at meals and checking out we were made to feel welcome and appreciated. The staff were friendly and very helpful throughout our short stay. We will hopefully return soon.

We personally couldn’t find anything we didn’t like. Everything suited our needs.

Staff are excellent ,very freindly and welcoming. Suberb breakfast ,fresh and wholesome. Good selection of ales in the bar and a real scrumpy cider ,which pleased the wife. Overall a nice stay.

Room was smaller than expected ,very dusty ,possibly due to the age of the place ,very wobbly hanging frame for clothes etc. .No sockets by bed for mobile phone etc ,again the age of the building could be the reason for that. Just a little overpriced in our oopinion for room size and very small shower space.

Breakfast and Evening meal are of excellent quality in all respects. I can highly recommend the vegetarian breakfast. All staff very friendly and helpful. A lovely very welcoming place to stay.

Room was a little noisy early in the morning. We were next to the cleaners room and the door was being left to bang closed. The room was very clean apart from high level cleaning where there were a lot of cobwebs, this was also the case in the dining room.

Room was comfortable, with good tea & coffee facilities and a decent-sized shower room. Very friendly & helpful staff. We dinner was very good pub food and served exceptionally quickly. Good breakfast. Very good value for money. In all, a no-problems stay in a cozy, friendly, village pub.

The wifi could have been more straightforward, with just a simple password to log in, instead of one of those "sign in with all your details" deals: in the end I just used my phone's hot-spot instead.

As the owners of a 47kg Newfoundland cross we pick our accommodation first and foremost by how well they cater to our furry child. In the Wheatsheaf's case they genuinely could not have been lovelier - they were extremely welcoming of our dog (Dave) from the second we entered the bar until we left three days / two nights later. The staff paid him loads of fuss in the bar area and at breakfast he got a sausage every morning cut up in a bowl :-) Otherwise, the prices are reasonable and the food really good - strongly recommend the lamb pinwheels if you want a hearty meal, especially if you did the Yorkshire 3 Peaks that day! The rooms are clean and the beds comfortable - and the staff were without exception friendly and welcoming. Another little plus point is that the night before the walk I asked the staff if they had a tap I could use to fill up a walking water bladder. In response, the pub's owner took me into the kitchen to use one of the big sinks - a small touch but something he didn't have to do and I really appreciated it. Also, consider reaching out to them directly when booking. Just saying...

The pillows are rubbish - pretty much the only issue we had with the place!

Ideal location for the Ingleton Falls and White Scar caves. Staff were amazing, really welcoming and friendly. We ate in the restaurant for both evening meal and breakfast and food was lovely, great value for money.

The only thing that could have been better was the shower cubicle in our room, it was really small with the door opening inwards which made it a tad tight!
