We stayed in the apartment which was great for our family of 4. Plenty of space, 2 bathrooms, kitchen and washing machine. Stairs to apartment are steep so just bear this in mind. Breakfast is great. Plentiful, good options and very tasty.
First impression was not good. After travelling 30 hrs from Oz we arrived around 1.30pm. I had previously messaged hotel asking re early check in, but not got a response. As we entered the front door the staff members first words were “you know you can’t check in until 3?”. We said ok (but mentioned the request) and asked to leave our bags. Staff member looked at us as if we were crazy- and said “I don’t know where’. We did end up leaving bags (managed to find a spot), and came back at 3, but it was a woeful first impression.

Good location and overalll good hotel. Dinner service was excellent with a good calue for money.
Had some issues trying to book the hotel and dome resilience from reception in order to make things smooth. For some reason thespanish receptionist wasn't willing yo help at all. Had to change rooms due to poor Internet connection and , after downgradeof the room, General Manager said that will do the rate adjustment but, once I came to sort my bill, he actually said that I was actually booked into a standard instead of a superior room therefore no rate adjustment would be made. Had to contact Booking.com to get my money refunded as. Hotel declined to provide a resolution.

the location of the hotel was amazing for the weekend plans we had at Newcastle. staff were lovely and the room was spacious with enough room to move around. lovely bathroom with a nice garden view, which will look amazing in the summer time.
the bedroom windows were a bit hard to open and close as they were old style but room was warm enough when radiators were turned on and room stayed warm when turned off. the bed was creeky, so when getting into bed, was moving and making noise and the bed was also out of alignment with the TV in the sycamore room, so was hard to watch TV for one of us as a pole on the bed was in the way.

Friendly and relaxed return to this peaceful villa well located for Gateshead and Newcastle. Check in and parking easy, our room overlooked the garden and was spacious and very clean and comfortable. The lounge bar is welcoming and perfect for a pre/ post dinner drink. Breakfast offers a decent choice. We did not eat in the restaurant this time but have enjoyed meals here in the past. We particularly appreciate the check in and out times which are more generous than most other establishments and mean that you are not rushed. The staff are all helpful and ensure that you have a pleasant stay and the tariff is reasonable for the quality of service that you receive. Recommended.
The hotel rooms were slightly warmer than we needed.

The stay was delightful right from the start. The friendly and helpful reception when we arrived. This is the first place we have stayed in a very very very long time when they actually show you to your room instead of simply waving you in a direction. The friendliness of all staff we came into contact with was wonderful. The room was very comfortable, spacious and well appointed - even the kettle was full size instead of the silly little ones usually found in rooms. It was well ventilated, warm and cosy and the coffee / teas were good quality - not cheap options. En-suite was modern, clean and spacious with plenty of hot water and a shower that was brilliant. The downstairs relaxation / bar area was very comfortable and had a reasonable stock of drinks - and was not overpriced (again, something that is unusual). Breakfast was plentiful with Juices, Cereals, Fruit and a good choice of cooked mains - which were cooked beautifully. The property is tastefully decorated and appointed to reflect it's Victorian heritage. We would not hesitate to stay here again - highly recommended.
The bed was comfortable in every way - but as a small / standard double was a little cramped. A slightly larger bed would make the room perfect.

A lovely visit to Eslington Villa. Room spacious and clean. Bed very comfortable and very little outside noise. Bathroom spotless and great shower. Staff are fantastic and make you feel so welcome. Great to chat to, extremely efficient and so friendly. We had a fantastic meal in the restaurant on the Friday evening and a few relaxing drinks in the well stocked bar afterwards. The breakfast choices were excellent and prepared to a high standard. Ten minute taxi to Newcastle or to Gateshead Metro station if you want to go the likes of Tynemouth or South Shields. Some great pubs and restaurants, 10 minutes walk away in Low Fell (Durham Road). Would highly recommend staying here. We'll be back.
Nothing. All great.

The breakfast was superb - well cooked and ample portions. Good cold choice too. Housekeeping was excellent - room immaculate. All front of house staff were sxcellent - a credit to the hotel - friendly, helpful, professional. Exemplary! Special thank you to Tony (and the lady the night before) for sharing my excitement over the Villa"s history and adding further details).
we didn't dislike anything but if forced to make a comment then the bathroom was a little dated but for the price and everything else this is just a tiny observation

Love the feel of the hotel. It was very welcoming, from the minute we arrived. Excellent, friendly staff throughout. Nice comfortable room, with a good breakfast. We were here for the Great North Run weekend. The hotel did an earlier breakfast on the Sunday for runners, and we were able to leave our car in the car park until after the run. This was my 2nd visit and I plan to return.
The room we were on was above the kitchen with it being warm we had to have the window open which meant the extractor fan woke us up quite early when staff started cooking breakfast.

Efficient and friendly staff. Lovely breakfast in the dining room which obviously retained a lot of the original features of the building. It over looked the valley where we watched the squirrels! An oasis in the middle of the city. Dinner was very good too.
Unfortunately the radiator in our room had not been turned on so the room was freezing! Took a while to warm up. There were no curtains at the windows, just a blind which allowed the outside lighting to invade the room. Curtains would make it warmer too.

The location was ideal for our long weekend. The hotel was slightly old-fashioned, but our room was to a high standard. All the meals were excellent. We had an excellent evening meal the day we arrived, and breakfast was cooked to order rather than buffet-style. It was easy to get to Newcastle city centre by Metro a 10 minute drive away. The A1 was close by, so access to Alnwick and Bamburgh Castles didn't involve city driving. We discovered a good pub, "The Fog on the Tyne," a 15-minute taxi ride away.
Nothing really
