I was really impressed with the room and all the facilities. It was spacious, comfortable, clean and beautifully presented. Having a fully equipped kitchen made such a difference and the personalised room code on the locks made it feel really safe - a very important point as I was travelling solo this time. The en-suite was a good size and I was impressed with the attention to detail including lovely toiletries, big fluffy towels and a hairdryer. The free parking was such a bonus and I found it easy to find a space. I’ve stayed in several hotels in Harrogate in recent years but this is by far the best. Highly recommended!

Nothing, it was great!

I had month long stay at the Belmont and the staff kindly upgraded my room to be a little larger and more private. It was on the second floor and very quiet. It had a working kitchen with stovetop, fridge, and all the utensils, cookware, and plate ware needed to cook on my own. It’s a short ten minute walk to Harrogate center and the bus/train stations. Off road parking available in back, but on weekends the lot might get full. There is plenty of on street parking and the hotel provides permits in case the lot fills up. Staff are attentive and readily available via WhatsApp. It was a lovely stay and it made the month away from the comforts of home very pleasant.

Only quibble is that they do not have laundry on site, but there’s a laundry facility 10 minutes walk away. I only cared since I was lodging for four weeks. For a few nights, they provide everything I would need.

In a great location for walking into town, the room was lovely bathroom a little cosy easy access into property.The free milk, tea and coffee and toiletries were a nice touch too. Lovely decor and the bedding and towels were great.

There were no drawers to put anything in, the tiled area near kitchen area could do with being same level as carpet as it’s easy to stub your toes, maybe shower caps as you couldn’t shower without getting your hair wet and a higher stool or lower mirror at dressing table I’m 5 foot 6 but couldn’t see sat down. These are just small things that I feel would have improved my stay.

We stayed in room 12 on the 3rd floor. Excellent location, just a few minutes and your in the centre of Harrogate The staff here although you don't really see them are on the ball. We only had 4 coat hangers in our room and I messaged Mark on WhatsApp and it was sorted in the morning. Kitchen facilities a big bonus for chilling drinks and food plus having the ability to cook was a fab addition. Bed was comfortable and although on a busy main road I didn't have any trouble sleeping (I do wear earplugs though). Overall a great base for the local area on foot or to nip out in the car to surrounding areas, would recommend.

The only thing that was a little disappointing (if I'm nit picking) was that the room wasn't cleaned to my personal standard. It was quite dusty and I even had to wipe down the shelves before I put our clothes on them due to dust. The towel rail in the bathroom was also dusty and obviously hadn't been wiped down previously, also the shower head could do with a good scrub.

Fantastic and refreshing experience. Spent 3 nights with the Belmont for business. I was initially placed in room #5 which was too small for me and had no work space (I take ownership of that as I didnt do my research on the room size). I then requested the host (Mark) if a room upgrade was available, expecting some push back and that they couldnt assist. The exact opposite happened. Mark couldnt have been more accomodating and very kindly moved my luggage and personal effects into Room #5 which was available, at a minimal cost. Mark's hosting and response time to queries was remarkable and turned around what could have been a cramped and unhappy experience to a very positive experience, and I will definitely return when next in Harrogate overnight. Thanks Mark... well done on creating the "wow" factor which so many establishments miss.

Size of Room#5 is really cramped so check it out first. Room#1 was brilliant.

Harrogate review Room 4 at The Belmont was beautifully laid out and had everything that we needed within the one room. it was modern, stylish, secure and functional. We looked forward to coming back to our room and it was a short walk from the Harrogate conference centre. We loved the idea of the keyless entry and we were able to park securely in the car park. The kitchen was clean, compact with all the utensils we needed. likewise the bathroom also was modern with a lovely refreshing shower. A comfie bed and we liked the idea of the obscure glass in the lower part of the front window so we could enjoy natural light without worrying about onlookers. We were able to adjust the room temperature to suit ourselves. Overall, a peaceful and relaxing experience. Thank you, Harrogate Stays.

No negative points

Extremely smart apartment hotel. Stylish room & very new quality bathroom & shower. Parking to the rear was a big bonus, and though first-come-first-served there was plenty of space. Two steps from the town and conference centre, yet soooo quiet! Coffee pods and a little bottle of milk waiting in the room! Nice touch. Free wifi and strong signal.

Access is remotely arranged with a code, but for me the room door hadn't been reprogrammed (technical glitch). Sorted with a few messages to Mark. He responded very quickly, politely & sorted the problem. Even the most expensive hotels with loads of staff have glitches from time to time. The issue is whether you can get hold of someone to fix it and how polite they are. The Belmont scored 10/10 on both counts - hence my review score.

Very modern facility in a pretty old house. We were in room 7, a double studio - a small but efficient use of space. Super easy self check-in. Loved the alternate fire escape entrance. Will give the bed 5 stars, location 5 stars (easy 12 minute walk to Victoria Park) and staff especially Sue 6 stars! Staff were responsive to email and could not have been nicer. We had a very pleasant stay.

Stairs could be an issue for some and we had to be creative with storage space, but we've got stuff for 6 weeks. For a weekend it's more than adequate.

The property is in a great location walking distance to the convention centre. Parking was easy as it’s located at the rear of the property and with a path to the entrance. Access was simple via coded locks so you don’t have to worry about keys. The studio was furnished to a high standard with superking bed, kitchenette with fridge and decent shower room. very tastefully decorated. The owner was easy to contact via watsapp and we really appreciated being able to leave the car in the car park until our event at the convention centre finished. I highly recommend the property and will definitely book again for our next trip to Harrogate.

nothing it was fabulous!

It was warm, clean and comfortable. Nice bathroom and shower, The fact that there was a fridge in the room. Not having to use keys or a key card. Free, stable wifi. There was a socket next to the bed so I could charge my phone overnight and keep it next to me.

It was incredibly loud when other people arrived or returned to their rooms, even though the people themselves weren’t being noisy. The doors in particular are very loud when they shut. In my room, the mirrors were much too high, and there wasn’t a long mirror in my room. No one serviced my room after the second night, even though I hung the ‘Please clean my room’ sign on the handle. (I actually just wanted the bin emptied and the used tea bags removed.)
