Our hosts were great. When we needed something, they were there. Laundry service was amazing as we were spending 2 weeks in Scotland, it really helped us :) Location is so close to the center. Just a couple of minutes walk from center.

A vegan milk option would be useful- I am not vegan myself but my bf has lactose sensitivity so he cannot eat cheese or have regular milk so it would solve issues. The mattress is too soft. Lastly, we stayed on ground floor and the door just takes in all the noise from breakfast room. If you have loud neighbors, you will hear all the conversation.

Staying at Doric House was an amazing experience. The room was clean and very comfortable, the continental breakfast each morning was delicious, and the location was only a few minutes walk to the centre of town. But the highlight was the host Jamie, who was incredibly friendly and always had fantastic suggestions for things to see and do around the highlands each day. He gave us tips for all sorts of hidden spots and great walks we wouldn't have known about otherwise. With our car were we usually able to park on the street right outside using the permit they provided.

We had a wonderful stay at Doric House. The location is perfect, nice and quiet yet within a 5 minute walk to the centre of Inverness. We had a car and we didn't have any issues parking it within close proximity using the parking permit they provide. We booked the king room and both the room and bathroom were spotlessly cleaned and very comfortable. They provide plenty of amenities like tea, coffee, towels, gel and shampoo and there is a huge wardrobe to hang your belongings and units to leave your suitcases - there is indeed a lot of attention to detail in this property. The continental breakfast was great and set us off to a great start every morning. Thank you Jamie and family for your hospitality, we'll be back.

We stayed twice at Doric House during our North Coast 500 road trip. The toilet and shower facilities were clean and well maintained. We got the ground floor room and the room was cosy and bed was comfortable. Breakfast provided was simple but sufficient. Jaime and Heather were amazing host and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Doric House. Point to note Jaime is a walking encyclopedia of Highland landmarks and history.

The pillows were a bit too soft but that is a personal preference.

Fabulous home away from home! Jamie is full of knowledge about the history of scotland! Lots of suggestions given for things to do around inverness! Comfy bed..awesome breaky in the dining room with the other guests..parking right outside the home with a parking pass given to us on arrival! Being able to Walk into inverness was sooo awesome..5 mins Paid a small fee and our washing was washed & dried! Bonus!!

If the curtains were lined this accom would be even more perfect! Everything else was awesome!

From the moment we arrived, Jamie made us very welcome to his warm and cosy home. After settling us in we were more or less left to our own company for the duration of the stay. Breakfast is continental which we had never encountered before so wasn't sure what would be on offer, but was of excellent choice with lovely fruit kebabs and freshly baked croissants and pastries. The rooms are a good size containing everything you need for the stay. Situated in a quiet street just minutes from the centre of town and amenities the Doric House is a tiny haven.

Nothing. Jamie and family have thought of everything and obviously enjoy welcoming people to their home.

Doric house is a very nice place to stay in Inverness. It is located in a quiet neighborhood but at the same time within easy walking distance to the city center as well as train and bus station. Jamie is a very friendly host with loads of helpful tips and information what to do and see in and around Inverness! The room and bathroom were comfy and clean. Breakfast offers all you need for a good start of the day. In a nutshell: highly recommended and we would definitely stay there again.

Amazing people and an amazing house. Located just far enough out of town to be so peaceful, yet close enough to walk everywhere we wanted to go. Breakfast was delicious, great opportunity to meet other guests. Jamie had so much information about the area and gave great tips in stuff to do. Would definitely return. Bed was crazy comfortable and my husband can't stop about the cookies.

Shower needed a shelf.

We are just leaving Inverness now, but hope to be back soon. The same applies to Doric House. A warm welcome awaits you from Jamie and his lovely family who also stay there. The room was a good size with a bed more comfortable than the one we have at home! You serve your own breakfast at a time that suits you... always a great start to the day. Doric House is situated on a very quiet road with the city centre only about 5 minutes walk away, offering a great variety of places to eat and drink. Jamie also has a wealth of knowledge about Inverness and the surrounding area and gave us helpful tips on where to go. Doric House is a wee gem of a place due to its location and homely feel - we will definitely remember celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary in Inverness.

Jamie was a perfect host. We had the two double rooms upstairs they were both were spacious and clean. Beds & pillows very comfortable. Breakfast had a lot of variety, fruit, cereals, pastries etc. Short walk to the main shopping street and restaurants. Very quiet location. Would definitely book again.

Bathrooms were a little small but had everything we needed.😊
