Garden rooms were well furnished and comfortable, giving a sense of a private apartment more than a hotel room. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating. I noted that at least one member of the waiting staff at breakfast was differently abled, and it was lovely to see him given the opportunity and how he radiated his enthusiasm for the role, not only to guests, but to his colleagues. Highly commendable.

We ate in the dining room on the Sunday evening, and while the food was very good, the service was somewhat disjointed and lacked finesse. We had to remind about requests for drinks, water and bread. Food was dropped off at the table more than placed and explained. A little extra training needed perhaps.

I visited over the Easter holidays with my 6 year old son and as my daughter was joining us on the first night I'd booked the classic studio room which is the perfect choice for anyone travelling as a family! We stayed in room 28, which was extremely spacious with a king bed in the main area, a second bedroom with 2 sets of bunk beds, 2 large bathrooms (one with a shower, one with a bath) a lovely seating area with doors that opened onto the seated patio area, a TV preprogrammed with child friendly content (which if you have young children is perfect for keeping them amused while the grown ups get ready!) and was equipped with everything you need for your stay from luxury toiletries and hairdryer, tea and coffee making facilities, iron and a safe for any valuables. We were also next to the leisure centre which we made use of during our stay - suitable for all with a lovely warm pool, sauna, steam room, jacuzzi, and spacious changing facilities. At breakfast we were spoiled for choice - a huge selection of fresh fruit, cereals, freshly baked pastries and a delicious selection of hot cooked items - the only dilemma you'll have is deciding what to choose! For anyone visiting with youngsters the hotel is situated across the road from a beautiful park with plenty of swings and slides to entertain and the town centre itself is not too far away so even little legs can enjoy the walk into the centre. The staff here are all so helpful, efficient and friendly, in all my years travelling, both with my children and alone, the service here is outstanding compared to anywhere else I've stayed, a real credit to the hotel. If you're looking for the perfect base to explore the Highlands, whether you're a solo traveller, with friends, a romatic getaway or with children (or dogs!), I'd highly recommend you put the Kingsmills Hotel in Inverness on the top of your list!

Stayed in Kingsmill a number of times because we love the ease of parking, the location in Inverness. The staff are aways helpful. The bar area is very comfortable with plenty of seating. Dinner & breakfast menu's have plenty of choices to suit anybody's taste buds.

This time room 2 we found to be very noisy as was at front right above front door with constant coming & going of other guests which is understandable from such a busy hotel. Room was large enough & warm for our one night stay. The shower room ensuite on other hand had no heating or heated mirror for my shave in morning.

The hotel, whilst extremely busy was staffed with smiles and everyone was very helpful. The big bed was very comfortable and the bathroom well stocked and clean. The room is a great size. The gardens are lovely and the spa service fantastic- to be recommended. The breakfast was good quality, but very very busy. It is only a 12 minute walk into the city centre. The rooms are quiet and having direct access to the garden was lovely.

The leisure club is a little tired and smaller than expected. The room did not have a working phone. The lights when working required some kind of escape room combination logic to have them all on at once. The funiture is a little tired and the TV very small, considering the size of the room. Why no radio/speaker? The bar is very expensive!

Staff within front of house, f&b and housekeeping were fantastic, especially the lady who was working the first half of our stay (I didn’t catch her name, but she worked Christmas morning and also checked us in on the 23rd, and chatted to us on Christmas Eve) great knowledge of the local area and made us feel like valued guests. we visited the areas she recommended and we’re not disappointed!! Christmas Day meal was outstanding, as were all the staff (thank you James who waited on us). the staff on the whisky bar were also very helpful and friendly, taking the time to make conversation and ensuring we were well taken care off. Room was spotless, finished to a high standard and very spacious. Overall, a fantastic stay and by far the best service we have received from a hotel!!

Only one niggle, the staff at the Leisure Spa weren’t very bothered or overseeing the area, children were unsupervised running everywhere and doing whatever they wanted. Changing rooms were very dirty and hot tub was not working for a lot of the stay.

Breakfast was really good and the staff are amazing. The room was a really good size with balcony. The staff were really helpful, nothing was too much. I was offered another room as soon as I asked if there was another available. Late checkout and the chef packed us a nice wee box with some cakes and pastries for the road!

We booked the kingsclub king room looking over the golf course, absolutely gorgeous room but we were a little disappointed with where it was located. Our room was at the corner facing onto a busy main road so although the room was lovely, it was noisy and we didn’t get the view that we expected. Perhaps the main hotel or the private garden rooms are a better choice (personally) if you want peace and quiet.

Staff went above and beyond to welcome us and our little dog. So friendly, helpful and professional. The room was lovely straight onto the garden. Very modern and comfortable. The food was five star and on Saturday evening the piano player in the restaurant was fabulous. We really enjoyed our evening.

The only change I would like to see in this exceptionally dog friendly hotel is for part of the bar and restaurant to allow dogs. We had to sit in the reception area to have a drink and leave our well behaved dog in the room in the evenings . The bar area and restaurant is very family friendly with children playing and high chairs around so an area where we could sit with our dog in his basket would be a great addition.

Lovely location and the hotel was very nice.

My original booking stated 2pm checkin but we had to wait until 3:30pm before we could checkin. I ordered 2 lunches for me and my girlfriend (Chicken Caesar Salad) and after 1 hour I found out it was sent to the wrong room. When only one Caesar salad finally arrived there was no dressing, however the duty manager was very kind and removed it from my bill.

the service here is unlike anywhere else. the staff make this place feel like home from home and are there for your literal every need. the service is so personal and they get very excited to see doggies staying here. they remember my dogs name from previous stays (they never remember mine but who would when the spaniels the cutest face you’d ever see) and they genuinely love to see her. I have started staying here once every 6-8 weeks just because they make it such a relaxing yet welcoming environment

my literal only fault is that the bath water is tepid. however after bringing this to their attention they arranged to send maintenance in as soon as possible.

Breakfast excellent. Location useful for travel and for getting to shops etc. Not a very busy roadway.

Signing in was 4pm. Arrived a bit early and asked if we could have coffee. The coffee didn’t arrive twice. Seemed understaffed. Joined fairly long queue at 4.05. Desk at door with door which opened automatically. I realise the hotel isn’t responsible for the weather ! But it was very cold and draughty. As we got nearer to desk I heard people being advised that their rooms weren’t ready. We were told same. Asked us to sit near reception and the staff would let us know when ready. Looked over several times. Staff member gone. I finally asked about the room and was told it was ready. Got to room at ten to five having earlier booked to eat at five. Felt rushed. Ordered fish and chips. Fish in batter was obviously frozen and oven chips. £19.00, not value for money at all.
