2 weeks before Xmas and the hotel was in full swing with functions and parties. The staff were nontheless amazing, cheerful, generous and helpful. They gave my delighted dog a sausage by the kitchen back door when we went for evening walkies. Our dinner was made memorable by the delicious chicken fajitas extravaganza that my teenager chose. My fish n chips were ace but not in the same league as said extravaganza! The breakfast was also just right as we were both frayed at the edges from lack of sleep in our noisy room overlooking the main road. I'll ask for a quiet room next time. As we had our dog, we ate dinner and breakfast in the reception area. They have a cute doggie station with treats and toys near the reception area too. Our room also had 2 poop bags, chews and a ball. I've never come across such a dog welcoming hotel as The Chieftain hotel. Thank you for taking a care of the 3 of us.

Only one thing stopped our stay from being perfect and that was the traffic noise from the main road and hearing people chat as they walked past. The road wasn't busy, about 1 car every 30 seconds all through the night, but we're used to utter peace at night time so we were kept wide awake which made the following day hellish. The window in room 3 is utterly unequal to the task.

the breakfast was very good cant fault it the room was roomy and comfortable the beds were very comfortable didn't have dinner so cant comment on that but from the look of it it seemed very nice.

Didn't like the disable parking space and the fact someone cant park in their own space and took up most of the disabled space making it hard to park. Didn't like the fact that nothing was done about it when it was reported to staff on more the one occasion and the person who cant park was still in part of the disabled space in the morning when we left which makes me think it was the manager or staff member who need lessons in parking

The room was very big with a corridor that had plenty of wardrobe space leading to a fantastic bathroom, there were a lot of nice touches from free toiletries including body wash, shampoo & conditioner & complimentary cans of Iron Bru, and shortbread biscuits, the hotel had a really nice sports bar attached and a good value restaurant on site, the inclusive Breakfast was amazing.

Due to the design of the building, there was a bulkhead in the room which I had to be very careful not to bang my head on but it wasn't a problem and is part and parcel of the character of the building.

The breakfast was by far the best cooked breakfast I have had in any hotel. Every single day it was of the same very high standard. The male staff member running breakfast each day of our visit was extremely friendly and by our last day had noticed my partner had tea each morning - by our last day he met us at our table at breakfast with freshly brewed tea for my partner without even being asked - he personally, was fantastic!

I am not sure whether it was a problem with the window as it did not appear to be fully closed at the top (we couldnt close/fix this) or just the thin windows but there was strong winds coming in each evening and we were sadly awoken each morning by the very loud hotel delivery van banging around and unloading below our window. To add to this, the walls were very thin within rooms and we were kept awake our first 2 nights by our neighbours and the noise of their shower buzzing.

Staff were friendly and helpful, And the room was comfortable and immaculate and had everything and more than we needed.Breakfast and meals were generous portions and perfectly cooked.

The table we were give for breakfast was of the bench type and was a bit low for us for eating but this was changed for us when we mentioned it to staff, although mentioning this as something we didn't like ,this was changed quickly with no fuss which we liked and only added to our appreciation of hotel and staff.

Great place really warm, homey and welcoming. Staff were lovely. Food and drink selection was great. Location is ideal for the town. Clean and tidy Good value for money! Will be back again.

Only thing was the room didn't lock properly when going out- Locked from the inside fine via the latch. Didn't have much value in the room so wasn't too concerned but ideally should lock. Bathroom was falling apart a bit...

All the staff were very helpful and friendly. The hotel is in a good position with only a 15 minute walk to the centre of Inverness. A good choice for breakfast. Evening meals were available.

The decor in our room and the bathroom is in need of refresh. It all looked a bit tired and shabby. Some of the electrics do not work and need to be checked over. Although the shower worked very well, it was impossible not to spray water over the window and window sill. A very odd setup.

Excellent breakfast to start the day. Cereals ,toast and cooked breakfast. Room was cosy and comfy. Bit noisy. There were all the necessary tea and coffee making facilities and clean bathroom. Staff were very polite and friendly.

There was quite a bit of noise from the trains running by which stopped about 11pm. My room had a low ceiling at one end of the main room which wasn't too much trouble but just had to be a bit more careful.

Breakfast was great value and well cooked, plenty of choice on offer. Dinner was excellent and exactly as you would expect from this type of accommodation. Room was also what you should expect from this type of establishment and the atmosphere in the building was friendly and very helpful.

This is an older establishment and as such can appear a little tired. It is very lively at the weekend and can therefore be quite noisy. but this ca also cause a parking issue for residents.

I liked that teenagers wernt kicked out of bar area at certain times .They were allowed to stay and play pool and darts while adults relaxed with drinks .The food was amazing and plentiful .Staff were lovely ,rooms were spotless and cleaned daily according to your own wishes .

One wee small negative was I felt toast should be automatically put on table in morning with tea/coffee while awaiting breakfast .Not really a complaint but would have given 10++ stars if that had been done .There was 12 of us family and friends with 4 bedrooms and I highly recommend this hotel .
