Immaculate,The room was spotless from the skirting to top of wardrobe NOT one spec of dust anywear.food beautiful, view from room lovely, staff went above and beyond perfect location to town, bus and train stations (morecambe and preston 15mins on train) There is plenty of instant hot water for bath and shower didn't have to wait for it A lift if need be.Perfect Room would probably be small to others but not to us because it was perfectly formed TV kettle hairdryer large bath towel and medium towel.Entrance so you didn't have to use the restaurant Food prices in restaurant didn't break the bank Breakfast filled you up for the day plenty to choose from One word it was PERFECTION (little note every place will have it wear and tear not every place is going to be like it was the day it opened) A massive thankyou to Di and Lucy for welcoming us with open arms also to the other staff all gems

Didn't stay long enough

The room was stunning and had a great view of the river. It was easy to return to the property after the pub downstairs had closed as there was a separate entrance for the accommodation. The staff were friendly and helpful. The cooked breakfast was really good.

There was nothing really to fault. However, during our stay in the middle of June 2024, the staff said there was due to be a change of management the following week. Therefore, a point has been deducted from the overall score as it is not possible to say exactly how the accommodation will be in the future. For those less mobile, access to the rooms is via a winding staircase.

Room was well laid out with very clean en suite with shower. My sister and I both said that the beds were the most comfortable we had ever slept in when away from home. We had both dinner and breakfast. Great choice of meals for both. We chose the vegetable with noodles for dinner and bacon omelette for breakfast. Food was delicious. Great value for money and all the staff were very friendly. Parking was round the back via a ticket machine, at night time car can be moved to front and parked in road for free until 11am.

It’s the first time we’ve stayed at Wagon & Horses but it will definitely not be the last. The only area which could be improved on is for a parking permit to be given to customers staying there as parking for daytime hours can work out expensive.

Stayed for one night on a Saturday. The staff were friendly. Easy check in. Room had everything we needed. The bathroom was very clean and the shower was amazing… I didn’t want to get out! Breakfast the next morning was so tasty and big portions. Lots of tea and coffee and milk in the room which was nice to see as in some hotels they give you one of each which is useless.

Breakfast on Sunday morning was only between 8.30 and 9.30am. And check out was earlier than expected. I think I missed that in the booking process. Would have been nice to be able to stay until 11 or 12 and have breakfast running later… especially on a Sunday.

All of the staff were fantastically helpful and accommodating - from our arrival right up until our departure. The venue is a historic building which perfectly matches its past with modern features. The food was first class - we enjoyed both our evening meal and the Full English breakfast the following morning. The twin room we had was comfortable and clean.

Located a little bit out of the city centre but it was only a 10 minute walk and, therefore, a minor inconvenience but nothing more than that.

Very clean, facilities were great, newly renovated bathroom, very comfy beds - and pillows - and the room was cosy and very warm with everything we required, lots of extra tea bags, milks etc. Very good value too., and it was just so very nice to stay at the wagon and horses .The staff were very friendly, especially the lady in the morning serving us breakfast - she was so helpful and nice. All in all we really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this hotel/BnB and would def stay again.

Nothing to dislike

The room was clean and comfortable, although small due to the age of the building. The food was excellent, the breakfast superb!! The staff were friendly and helped with any aspect of out stay. An historic area and building....most interesting.

The shower was a bit small for me (I'm a bit large!!), but it operated well. NOT HOTEL....we were very sad to find that almost all museums and historic sites of interest were closed midweek. Our Taxi Driver blamed the Council!!

The Wagon And Horses is a great place, it was just a pub when I lived in Lancaster years ago but the transformation is fantastic. It is modern and well decorated. The staff were really lovely and the bedroom was beautiful. It's a bit more pricier but you get value for money. The breakfast was lovely and well presented. It is situated within walking distance of the city shops next to the River Lune. You can walk up the Quay and over a bridge to a walking path that takes you all the way to Morecambe.

Nothing, I can't think of anything to put that was bad about the venue.

Such a lovely hotel. We booked for a two night stay, Sunday and Monday, and were impressed from the first minute we pulled up outside the W&H. The location is excellent, which is just a short walk from the main hub of the town, along the river. Dan booked us in and was super helpful, letting us know where to park and getting us checked in efficiently. Our room was tastefully furnished and modern and the bed had a good quality mattress and was very comfortable. To add to the list of positives, we had plenty of tea bags and milk provided, with bottles of still and sparkling water. Breakfast is excellent with good quality sausages and bacon and there is a large selection of cereals, toast, jams etc and other items on offer. Diane looked after us for breakfast and her housekeeping colleague replaced water etc, whilst we eating breakfast, which was a nice touch. Such a lovely location, building and team of staff. A 10/10 hotel.

From the moment we walked in to the moment we left after breakfast the following day the staff were brilliant! Polite, friendly and very helpful. Our bedroom and bathroom were very clean and beds comfy. The bottled water on the hospitality tray was a nice surprise. What can I say about the breakfast! Tea/coffee/orange juice, choice of cereals, toast, full English brekky cooked to order .....excellent! The lovely lady who served us with a smile on her face was very attentive, asking several times if we`d like more tea/coffee toast etc. Could not fault the stay at all. Overall excellent value for money. Thank you to the staff at The Wagon and Horses for making us feel so welcome.

Nothing.
