The location is excellent, right in the city centre, with parking a two minute walk. The hotel gives you a half price rate per night, which at £35 per 24hrs full price, is a much needed saving. The hotel is situated down a side street, so it’s away from the hustle and bustle of city streets, but only a stone’s throw from everything. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. The facilities are good. The use of the executive lounge for elite members is excellent. We booked an executive king room and got to use this. There are certain times for snacks, hot food, beers and wine, hot and soft drinks. There is ample seating also, so just an extra place to relax. The bar area is modern and inviting with burnt orange velvet sofas’ and gold acents. Opulent embossed fabric wall coverings and large plants and foliage. The bar boasts impressive backlit onyx top and back board. It all looks very aesthetically pleasing and feels luxurious with low lighting giving a great ambience. It is a very pleasant environment, with friendly and chatty bar staff. The cocktails were fabulous. The Spicy Margarita was 🔥🌶️ just how I like it. The rooms are clean and spacious. The iron was a great addition as my steamer broke. The hotel overall is great. It’s friendly, clean, has great facilities and is everything you could need from a hotel whatever the reason for your stay.

Breakfast could have been better. Hot food items were not replenished quickly enough and therefore, you went without or were waiting around. That could be improved. The seating in the bar area, is all very low and doesn’t cater to a less mobile or a larger sized person. Some of the sofa seating in the bar area is stained and looking tired. There were bulbs out in some of the light fittings too. Not terribly important, but creates that tatty worn, tired feel. I always think with hotels, it’s the little things like this that matter.

Myself and my partner attended from 11/01/25 to 14/01/25 for our anniversary milestone. I had booked with the Marriott as a surprise for my partner given the history he has with the specific branch in Leeds, and had also requested a welcome gift to surprise him (which i was happy to pay for, but got free!). It came with a lovely welcome note, wine and some small gifts which was more than i expected and we were very pleased with.. alongside a free upgraded room! We were very appreciative of this. It was well cared for on arrival and refreshed daily, very cosy and comfy, had everything we needed and more (the fridge was perfect to keep my medication in during my stay). Despite being by a main road beside the Trinity (which was ideal, and quite a nice view too), we couldn’t hear a thing! Our train arrived early (12:15) so managed to get booked into our room despite check-in being 3pm, which was perfect after a long journey. To top things off, the staff were very friendly and caring - everyone we saw was smiley and professional, communication was top-tier and it almost felt like home. We couldn’t be happier with our stay (my first stay here too) and can’t wait to return again soon!

Location was great, near to train station and shopping area. Plenty of bars and restaurants around. Executive room was very nice but you dont need to pay for a room with breakfast included as you get a complimentary breakfast in the Executive lounge. The Executive lounge was nice with very attentive and helpful staff.

No bathrobes in the room on arrival and had to get reception to sort out, which they did very quickly. No draught beer in the bar due to cooler problems but that was (hopefully) a temporary issue.

Location, nice modern interior of the hotel. Good restaurant and bar on site.

A very cheap mattress on the bed. I would have expected a better quality for the price paid. It was hard and you could hear and feel the springs, very much like a sofa bed. The pillows were also quite cheap, not a lot of filling in them. My husband had a stiff neck after the first night. Noisy location, very close to a late-night bar. We were in a family room on the first floor. Probably not the best place for family rooms. There was bar noise until after 3 am. I would imagine you have this complaint a lot, maybe look at soundproofing the windows more. I would love to return to the hotel, but only on the condition of a higher room at the back of the hotel.

The young lady on reception went up and beyond to make us feel welcome Excellent customer service all round. We ate in Ginos restaurant and the food and service were very good. Bed was really comfortable and the room was exceptionally clean. The Location was brilliant! and the parking right on the doorstep. During our stay the fire alarm went off at 5.30am Staff ensured that all residents left the building in a organised and reassuring manner. While we waited outside until the firemen gave the all clear, staff were exceptional in ensuring everyone was OK, they handed out foil blankets when required and they made sure we were OK.

We were a little disappointed with breakfast ie no fried eggs and the scrambled eggs didn't look very appetising. The restaurant decor was looking a bit tried and really could do with a revamp.

-Oo the reception staff! they were so lovable. I felt at home on arrival -My room was very clean and quiet -my bed was very comfortable -I loved that I could make teas whenever -room service was available -Every detail of what I would need was thought of -No disturbance; my door was not once knocked -Checking out time meant resting a bit more -My booking offered so much even though I did not have time inhouse to make use of most offers -All staff that I encountered were lovely I guess I cannot remember many other things that I did enjoy.

-The location was a bit noisy, bus stop Infront and busy high street. I was disappointed with the outside until I got in and the atmosphere just changed. -Loud disco from the neighborhood -Breakfast was good, but could do better -The executive lounge was overly booked

- The staff all went out of their way to provide exceptional five star service! They were also polite professional, helpful and delightful to deal with! - The food was all of a high-quality which one would expect from this type of hotel! - Everything was immaculately clean - Housekeeping staff do a great job! - Any tiny little niggles were immediately addressed and resolved to my complete satisfaction!

I was disappointed that the hotel no longer had a pool which it had done up to about seven years ago I think! I did know that when I booked but I do like Maintain my daily swim when I'm away from home

Stayed at Leeds Marriott for a concert at FirstvDirect Arena. Staff were brilliant, ate at Gino D'Campo - food was amazing and good value also. Breakfast was lovely. Overall a lovely hotel to stay in, within a short distance from the Arena and also the shops. Walking distance from train station 10-15mins.

Room was warm, which isn't a bad thing. Had air-conditioning, BUT, a little noisy - for us - to have going on a night. Also, our room was at the front of the hotel and there was a bar just across the court yard which was open until 3 am. Bottle bins were emptied very very early in the morning. Whilst this cannot be helped by the hotel, just a little something to consider and hence why I reviewed as 8/10.

Everything

I left a white shirt on the bed & told the reception staff 3 hours after leaving.. they radiod the housekeeping staff who had yet got to our room 350.... & upon making a trip to Leeds to collect my expensive Lucky shirt there was no recollection of the fact.... as it was White I can only assume they rolled it up with the bedding and sent it to the laundry & now lost.... as housekeeping had not yet been. To the room I feel reception should have given me a pass key to go back to the room to collect my shirt. . I have frequented this hotel many times over the years but not sure I will return now.

Always welcomed by the older staff that have worked at the property for years. Michelle, the House-Keeping lady was absolutely exceptional.

Newer male reception staff need to be more in tune with the guests. They're just missing a certain something - it took for a female staff member, Claudia, to point out to the male that was assisting me, that he couldn't put me in a noisy part of the hotel because I was going to be spending 9 nights at the property. The older Executive King Rooms need some work done in the bathrooms - get rid of the cumbersome baths and have a walk-in shower instead.
