I really appreciate the no fuss upon arrival. I stayed at the Melia White House hotel initially because that’s where my husband’s company booked us for his work. We arrived early because of our flight timing, and there was a room available, but they made a big deal of having to charge us £50 to check in early even though the room was available, the Wi-Fi didn’t work, and the room was the same type as we booked but the bed was smaller than described and the room was so small you can’t even walk around the bed - you have to crawl across it to get to the other side. Then we moved to the Clayton for the weekend. We came right from checking out from the other, so we arrived early, and I expected to have to store our bags and return after 3pm. Instead, the man who checked us in was very welcoming and warm, gave us a room upgrade immediately without my saying anything, and didn’t even mention that we were early. Just was happy to welcome us. And the room was great. So comfortable after the closet we had just been in.

The a hotel was nice with a beautiful bar and restaurant. The rooms are spotlessly clean with a very comfortable bed. We love our duck who has now been treated to the sights of London! 😂 The highlight of our stay, without a doubt, were the staff. In particular a young man named Pamodou on front desk who had us smiling as soon we arrived and could not have been more helpful and attentive. Also special mention to Giovani who escorted us to our taxi and helped us with our luggage too. Thank you all.

The air con could have been better in the room but I’m being picky here!

Room was fantastic, spacious and spotlessly clean. Great location only 10 mins walk to Bank tube station. Lovely and quiet in the surrounding area as we stayed at a weekend, so lots of places were closed but there was enough open for us to get what we needed

My only complaint was that we had breakfast delivered to our room on the last day - which I appreciate always comes at a premium - however, it was £9 for tea for two and this was one teapot which gave us a small teacup of tea each! I think they could have stretched to a teapot each at that price.

Room was very modern and well equipped

TV in the living room area didn’t work, the street the hotel is on was very noisy all night (off course not the hotel’s fault more a location issue)

All staff were really friendly, and genuine, made to feel at home straight away, and nothing was too much. Rooms were really spacious and very comfortable beds. Small finishing touches such as slippers and robes in the room, along with some different books also available made the stay special. Also great distance from London Liverpool Street Station and a quick bus journey to China Town if your not keen on travelling via the tube.

Only observation was that although there was a mini bar in the room, we couldn't seem to find a bottle opener anywhere, but we were made aware at check in that if we needed anything at all, just call down to reception on the phone in the room.

I informed the hotel it was my husband's 50th birthday in advance and they kindly upgraded us to a junior suite from a superior king room. The room was large with a separate 'lounge' and bedroom area and a lovely bathroom with a bath and shower, including jets. The bed was very comfortable. We used the bar which was a really nice area. The staff were very helpful, accommodating and friendly and the extra little touches (such as a desert to mark my husband's birthday left in the room with a card) made our stay really enjoyable and memorable.

We arrived at night after a long day of traveling. The front desk attendant, Elena was very helpful and kind. She was on top of her game. Nico in the restaurant was also very kind and worked hard. After 2 weeks in Morocco and the accommodations there, we were delighted the minute we walked into the junior suite; clean, comfy with fluffed pillows, big soft duvet, amazing towels, big comfy robe and slippers, and awesome shower. Just what we needed. There was an electric hot pot for making tea and Nescafe and lots of storage space. The location was ideal for our sightseeing and shopping and use of the tube and bus service. Overall, this was just a glorious way to end our Christmas Holiday!

Being that this was a junior suite, we wished it had a refrigerator that was more useful and a small microwave for reheating our take out food. Part of the reason for the stay was to relax and not feel like we needed to rush anywhere or eat out the whole time.

We stayed Friday to Sunday. Only a few restaurants locally including Gordon Ramseys The Bread Kitchen. When we arrived we were given a complimentary glass of Prosecco which was a nice touch. We arrived on a Friday and we noticed lots of little food and drink shops such as sandwich shops for those who don't eat a lot at breakfast and would prefer just a bacon buttie rather than paying for the hotel breakfast. There's also a Costa across the road and an Itsu which sells noodles and other Asian fast food. (Please note these are only open on weekdays) There's also a little Co-op round the corner for any essentials you have forgotten. Because it seems to be in an office area, it was a quiet location yet only minutes to Moorgate underground which was so handy. Also lots of bus stops around if you don't like travelling on the underground. Breakfast and service in the hotel was very good!

The only negative was that this is an area full of offices. The Costa and Itsu across the road were closed Sat / Sun. As were all the other breakfast type sandwich shops. And as there were only a few restaurants locally, they were all fully booked. However we could jump on the underground to go to a more touristy area :-)

Best place I have stained in London! - Super convenient location near several tube stations and London Liverpool Street - Lovely big room - Excellent amenities, love the antipodes shower accessories! - Very friendly and helpful staff with great baggage storage service - we got complimentary Victoria sponge muffins for the Kings coronation which was a lovely touch

The only not so good thing was the lighting in the bathroom was not conducive for the application of make up. A mirror light is required.

Room was fantastic, I got a complimentary upgrade. Big room, big bed, beautiful bathroom. Spacious shower, toiletries, gown and slippers, with a cute rubber duck for the bath tub. Complimentary glass of Prosecco on arrival. Staff were very friendly

Chair at desk was slightly uncomfortable and they did need a more powerful hairdryer. Breakfast could have been included in price. Service charge for room service. Location - quieter area of City. I recommend getting off at Moorgate Station, rather than Bank, as there were too many road works.
