The Ardmor Guest House is beautifully situated for easy walking distance to the town and the beautiful working harbour. Street parking is in front of the home. Our king room had an amazing view of Oban and the harbour with ferries coming and going. The room had access to a private bathroom just across the hall and that bathroom was very spacious and very well appointed. The hosts even provided bathrobes! Our host carried our luggage to our room which was very thoughtful of them. The room had a small refrigerator stocked with milk and a microwave and a pantry with hot and cold cereals and chocolate bars, instant coffee. The Ardmor Guest House is also easy walking distance to McCaigs Tower and Battery Hill which offers a fantastic view of the town!
Nothing to think of. We enjoyed our short stay!

The Ardmor has an impressive location on a terrace with a view of Oban's lively harbor district below. From above you can see the district and the many ferries. Our room had a very large bathroom. There was a fridge prepared with a bottle of milk for morning coffee. The large double bed was comfortable. The conversations with the owner, Mario, were interesting and he was very helpful. Mario drove us down to the harbor for dinner at a good seafood restaurant and picked us up there later. Something like this cannot be taken for granted. Parking in front of the house was no problem.
The house is getting old. The desk in the room was close to falling apart and the cushions on the seats in the room were worn out.

fabulous view! large room with comfy bed. Gown and slippers provided . well equipped with safe , fridge milk and biscuits. Telesope provided which novel touch for surveying the town below and islands. Great shower and nice toiletries Easy access via key safe. Owner very helpful and gave us lift to marina for no charge
bathroom across landing altho private and robe provided. guest house up a steep hill hence the great views, so get a taxi if you're on foot and dont liike the climb and avoid the Google map route up Jacob ladder steps as there's 157! Less steep sloping road a bit further along from town

This is a room only guest house so there was no food provision or facilities outside the room. However, in the room there was a variety of teas, coffee, fresh milk, chilled water and a selection of breakfast cereals and snack bars. Very thoughtful and perfectly adequate.
We have no criticisms or complaints although it was quite odd not to see the host once we had been welcomed in to the house on arrival - a very jolly, friendly welcome. That was not a problem at all just unusual but actually that degree of freedom and independence, particularly within a private house, was quite welcome.

This was our favourite overnight location on our trip! The hostess met us at the door and showed us directly to our beautiful room. Our interaction was short, but very pleasant! The room was huge, with high ceilings and the most amazing view of the harbour! It even had a spotting scope in the window to allow us a better view of the passing sailing vessels. The giant sleigh bed was supper comfortable. The bathroom (private but not attached to the room) was also huge, beautifully appointed and spotlessly clean.
For a Canadian driver, the narrow switchback climb up from the harbour was a bit challenging, but was well worth it.

Just a lovely Guest House!! It was located within easy walking distance of the downtown. We just loved the large room, and enjoyed sitting at the window to watch the harbor. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was also spacious and comfortable. The owners were very friendly and thought of everything! They even had some breakfast materials in the room. I really wish we would have been there longer than 1 night. I definitely recommend it. One thing-take a taxis to the house if you have a lot of luggage-it is up a big hill. The taxis is not expensive.

Stunning views from our room, overlooking Oban and its harbour. Mario was very helpful. We appreciated the fresh milk and cereals provided, plus other yummy snacks.
On our first night, we discovered The elastic in the fitted bedsheet was perished, in fact, I don’t think it was even the right size sheet, so as soon as we got into bed and moved, it all came off the mattress, leading to a very poor night’s sleep. Jenny was quick to fix the problem the following day, and left a bottle of bubbles to say sorry, which was nice of her. We also found the mattress too soft and saggy for our liking.

The view! The description of the room we booked stated it had a view of the harbor/bay and indeed it was fantastic. You are up on a hill overlooking everything without obstruction. Great to unwind in the evening with a glass of wine. There was a little fridge, a selection of cereals, milk with bowls and cutlery provided, so you could have a simple breakfast in the unit. This was appreciated when you have an early ferry to Isle of Mull booked. Oban is a nice town to spend some time in, we enjoyed our time there. Parking at unit was available.
As noted in the description of the unit, the private bathroom is not an ensuite, you do have to go across the hall. It is a nice big bathroom with shower and tub. Robes and slippers are provided. Not a big issue, but we had to try to be quiet as we came and went, so as to not disturb the other guests with the door banging. However, this did not diminish the lovely view and enjoyment of our stay.

We stayed in a room with a harbor view and the view was beautiful. It also allowed us to take more aerial photos of the town center. Note that the accommodation IS close to the town and harbor and there's a walking path most of the way, but it's downhill, which means you have to go uphill coming back. Part of the walk is steep. You could take your car down but then you would have to pay for parking. There was a telescope in the room if you wanted to look out far into the harbor.
The bathroom is private but it's across a hall, not attached, which may be inconvenient at times.

The view from our room, the 'Ardmhor' was sublime. There was no better view in Oban. We had beautiful big windows looking out on the harbour and town yet we did were up on the hill and no traffic or noise. The bed was very comfortable and room stocked with tea, coffee, microwave and cereal. The bath, shower and toilet were in an enormous room, seperate from the bedroom which worked out very well. Morven was very welcoming.
I liked all of it. Maybe could have had a few pieces of fruit in the room, not too many.
