Fantastic location within walking distance of Pitlochry whilst removed from the touristy hustle bustle. Also close to the golf course and hiking trails. Great buzz in the pub with superb prices and friendly staff.

Breakfast was included but ran very early and it would have been nice to see it go until half 10 like many hotels. The connection to the brewery could be closer - eg there was a missed opportunity for the hotel staff to arrange a visit for us (group or solo) and gave us incorrect hours over the phone.

The charm of an old inn is unmistakable. Having the pub/restaurant right downstairs (very very authentic and filled with locals) ideal. Had a delicious dinner there one night. Spent 2 nights at the inn exploring the area. Walked from the inn to the start of the nearby hike up Ben Y Vrackie which was stunning. The inn is close to the town of Pitlochry (easy walking distance) with all its shops and restaurants. Also a lovely river going through the town worth a wee walk around. Great place for a stopover if you are travelling from Edinburgh or Glasgow to the Highlands.

We travelled as a family for our nieces wedding. Myself and husband stayed in the Moulin Inn, our 3 daughters and son-in-law stayed in Lilac Cottage, owned by the Moulin Inn. Our room had a very comfy bed, tea, coffee, hot chocolate sugar and milk, good shower and a good outlook towards the hills at the back of the Moulin Inn. The breakfast was excellent with good choices. My husband and I had meal in the bar/restaurant which was excellent. They allow dogs too, but we didnt have ours with us. The staff were great, friendly , chatty and we met a couple of locals too and after talking to Tosh , in a roundabout way helped us book a taxi back from our nieces wedding. The rest of the family were in Lilac cottage , just across from the Moulin Inn. It had everything they needed, it was clean, beautifully decorated and had a bottom shower room and ensuite from the double bedroom. A cleaning pack was left in the kitchen too.Space for 3 cars to park, garden lovely.

Location. Less than a mile from busy centre of Pitlochry so more peaceful but still accessible. We stayed in Moulin Hotel self catering Cottage. Spacious and well equipped. It was directly opposite the Hotel so good for accessing bar and restaurant.

No toilet roll provided in the self catering Cottage although this was provided once we contacted the Hotel. A few more towels would have been good as there were six of us staying.

This was a return visit for us, and our first stay in one of the cottages, which was ideal for our needs. The rooms were arranged exactly as we'd requested, and the cottage itself was spacious, well-appointed, clean, and very comfortable. Breakfast was not included in our rate (and be aware that, while there were tea/coffee makers in the kitchen, there was no tea/coffee itself as you often find in UK hotels), but there is a large, well-stocked co-op just down the road which had everything we needed. The hotel's pub is wonderful - charming, full of history, and the food is great!

Quaint old inn in a scenic village setting not far from the centre of Pitlochry. Friendly informal atmosphere for good quality pub food with generous portions and ale brewed on-site. Decent breakfast with good porridge. Huge bed.

Not much they can do about an old building but the very squeaky floorboards were a bit of a nuisance. Decor was very 1980s with a lot of clashing patterns. Sockets nearer the bed would have been helpful.

Hotel in lovely location. Staff very friendly and helpful. Room lovely and very clean and comfortable. Food excellent.

With not being able to book an evening meal, we were a little nervous each evening regarding our ability to be able to sit in the dining area/bar. Luckily a table was always available.

Great old style establishment with a country style village feel to it. Rooms were quaint and comfortable. Staff were very friendly. About a 20 min uphill walk from Pitlochry but you can get a bus if needed. Beautiful walks right on the door step. Breakfast really tasty and good selection. Meals in bar excellent and good value

Excellent full Scottish breakfast and menu. Pleasant, quiet village location just minutes from town. Great base for walkers.

Not a luxury Hotel as it's over 150 years old. Housekeeping need to clean around the edges. A bit pricey for B&B, but was high season. Popular with non residents which can be a problem getting seats in restaurant.

i absolutely love this hotel. stayed here a couple of times now and will definitely be returning. not only could I bring my dog but I could eat in the restaurant with him. the rooms have very cute decor very in fitting with the age of the property. the brewery makes excellent ales. the breakfast was also great and would recommend getting the full Scottish. will be back again soon for sure.

the only thing I would have liked is for the outdoor seating to have been available but it didn’t take anything away from our stay.
