Beautiful location. Fantastic spa and pools. Wonderful to eat breakfast outside enjoying the scenery and sunshine.
The hotel restaurant “The Point” provided a terribly disappointing meal. For the price the breakfast was pretty basic. We had a “deluxe” room but no bathrobes or slippers etc, unusual in a spa hotel. No newspapers.

Location fantastic Breakfast brilliant
The price it’s really expensive. Some draws in the room to put underwear etc, would be a good move. The pool bar wasn’t open that was frustrating as my other half is sight impaired and we found it difficult to go all the way outside to the bar to be told we can’t serve you a drink but if you have food with it you can , not very good service , I had to go to the only bar you have in my swimming costume to get a drink , but disappointing as we paid nearly £1200 for 4 days to be told this . Key codes for everything , like a prison We were told we couldn’t buy a hot drink in the bar between 6 and 9.00 , despite us just paying £75.00 in your restaurant , which was great by the way, food really good , but the. Spoilt by bring told you can’t buy a hot drink , how mad is that .

The breakfast was lovely, good choice but the bonus was the excellent location. There are not hotels that are in such a perfect location on the beach with a lovely beach bar by the pool. The pool facility’s outdoor was even better. This hotel is a hidden gem and I will be coming back again and again for as long as I can.
I read somewhere that this hotel may be knocked and down to rebuild flats.! I think this will ruin the area and the fact that this hotel brings so much joy to people and makes you feel like you are actually abroad on holiday. This hotel should NEVER BE KNOCKED DOWN! It’s a gem and most certainly an asset to the community and area. I don’t understand why people would want this wonderful hotel to be knocked down to May room for flats ! This is not a location for flats and the hotel MUST STAY!

The room had an ensuite. The bed was lovely and comfortable, as well as being very large. The view from the room was amazing. I could sit on the balcony for hours just chilling with a glass or two. The hotel itself is old and it is lovingly cared for. They have kept a lot of old features in the hotel which reminds you of a time past. The view from the bar, restaurant and breakfast area's, again, are superb. The check in and out was made very straight forward and demonstrated good knowledge and experience.
The ensuite is quite small, which, in a way is to be expected, but, the toilet roll is behind you. I do think that a better position could be found for it. The manager was a little too present. If you are going to have a word or prompt your staff, do it subtly. You do not need to embarrass the staff.

I suffer quite severely from arthritis but I can climb stairs one at a time. I checked with Haven Hotel twice in writing before I came and I was told in writing that I would have a room round the corner from the top of the stairs. When my husband and I arrived, the receptionist had allocated us rooms which were some distance from the stairs. i.e. along long corridors with little steps up and down at various places. When I expressed concern and told her about the assurances received, she just shrugged her shoulders. The soap and other toiletries in the room smelt of toilet cleaner. It is "help yourself" to a breakfast which is OK but not great. I could not drink the coffee (from a machine): it was too awful. But, despite this, we had a wonderful time! All of the staff (apart from the receptionist) were kind and helpful. Both the indoor and outdoor pools were open and they were great. I could not use the shower in my room because I could not climb into the bath but there is a lovely hot shower next to the indoor pool. I kept trips to my room to a minimum: I stayed downstairs and enjoyed the fabulous views with a coffee or a long drink purchased at the bar. And I gradually relaxed as I watched all sorts of boats coming in and out of the harbour. Lots of interesting places to visit from the hotel too (with a mobility scooter in the back of the car).
The awful receptionist who did not give me the rooms promised. The awful coffee at breakfast.

Glorious location overlooking the entrance to Poole harbour. Magnificent scenery and constant interest when looking out of the restaurant window or sitting on the terrace. Local bus service to Studland, Swanage, Bournemouth and Poole accessed from very near by with a direct link to Bournemouth railway station. Staff very helpful and attentive.
The decor is a little tired, possibly because its future is uncertain, awaiting planning permission for a replacement. Fresh coffee served at breakfast would have been preferable to the provided machine. The decaffeinated version was unpalatable.

The location is perfect and if you get a sea view even better. We had a lovely relaxing couple of days, the British weather was kind, some nice warm sunshine. The indoor pool was ok, and the outside was lovely and warm. All the staff were very good, professional and friendly. We would certainly return and recommend the Haven to our friends.
I think maybe a better selection of evening meals and a change for different nights as it could become samey I think the Haven is missing a trick with the decor, as there is some beautiful parts of the Hotel, certainly with the revival of Art Deco and the Classical feel. Overall it is tired and needs refreshing, having said that we loved it.

The location is excellent with lots of views out of every window. Nice to have the sun deck for a drink in the sun. Breakfast was good although not too hot. There was a good selection of food. The room was good, if a tad small and the bed was large and comfortable.
The bathroom could do with a touch up some pealing to the side of the bath and the area around the radiator could have been cleaned better. The service was a bit slow with only one person serving at the bar for the restaurant and bar area. There seemed to be quite a few staff not doing much with the younger members of the team rushing around.

The welcome, the food and the views are truly stunning. The bar and restaurant were very good and the service was excellent. I had an evening meal in the restaurant and had probably the best fish that I have ever eaten whilst staring at the views towards the channel and open sea. Desert was lovely and the staff were attentive and friendly. The welcome was lovely, service was great and breakfast had a good selection and did not feel rushed and could take in the views while having food. Would highly recommend staying and will be booking again
Only issue was in the room, water pressure was low and the room must certainly get very warm in summer as no air con

Great hotel. Loved the revolving door. Fortunate to have stayed in a deluxe double sea view twitch balcony. We had an amazing corner room, second floor- had 180• view of sea and 2 private balconies. The bed is more like king size than double which was great as my partner is 6ft 2 so we were wondering about the room. Air-con and lots of amenities. We also ordered wine and chocolates and the wine was kept chilled in ice bucket and was a nice rose, and the chocs were yummy! Cleaning staff accommodating and friendly. Large restaurant room- lots of breakfast options for all which was good. Had cooked breakfast each morning (ours was included with room) and was hot and tasty. Staff very friendly and helpful. Great location- the hotel had lots of parking, was right next to the chain ferry which was easy to use. Near to lots of areas both on foot, public transport and car. Would highly recommend.
The lift is interesting… I wouldn’t say I didn’t like it, but I don’t think I would want 6 people in there- it’s quite small. This would be costly and most likely unnecessary to adapt. It works so that’s the main thing. The stairs are not onerous though.
