We checked in easily and got shown to our room. It was a massive room with en suite. Very clean. Two beds in our room. Large tv, tea/coffee facilities. Two comfortable arm chairs and coffee table. En suite had shower above bath, shaving power point, hand basin and toilet. They provided lovely clean towels, small bottles of shower gel, shampoo, hand lotion and individual soaps. Food can be bought in the evenings. Evening meals very good. Breakfasts you could help yourself to as much or as little as you wanted.

You could only get the guarantee of wi fi downstairs in the bar, eating area. Though I found you could occasionally get it in the room depending on where you were. The Sunday roast was a massive size. It seemed a waste of good food when you couldn’t eat it all. Hubby had beef and it seemed like he had half a cow. I had Turkey and I have had smaller chickens than the amount on my plate.

Quirky individual rooms in a beautiful manor house located within a mobile home site. Staff were understanding and pleasant.

No chef on duty in restaurant so had to go in to local town for dinner. Breakfast was acceptable only. I had written to the hotel twice asking for confirmation that a room could be on the ground floor or near a lift for disabled member of group; The hotel did not respond. Upon arrival it was clear that there are no rooms on ground floor and there is no lift in the property. Thankfully the staircase was wide and not steep so we managed.

From checking in to checking out - all staff delivered excellent customer care and service. The evening meal was particularly good value for money with excellent service. Breakfast was self service which suited our needs perfectly. The room was spacious, clean and warm with generous amounts of toiletries, tea, coffee etc. The live entertainment in the evening was an added bonus.

Nothing. We were very impressed with the standard of facilities and customer care which was excellent value for money

The room was warm and comfortable. It is an old building so the wiring was obvious and a little clunky. The bed was clean and comfortable, the bathroom was good and the view was lovely.

It is not clear where to check in so we hung around a bit and no one was there to help. The walls are not insulated so I was kept awake by the man next door snoring. The breakfast was adequate but no protein and all carbs.

Met with a smile but wasn’t told about breakfast or where it was taken so no breakfast first morning 8pm called out no one around 2nd day new where breakfast room was as had ask barmen night before,so next morning found breakfast room called out no one around strange so there was some cereal on table so had a packet of muesli next step any milk about found a fridge and luckily there was a little drop of milk in it it ,would really like a cup of tea as had 280 mile trip home but had to settle for some orange which was also in fridge so more faulty tours for me 😀.

location was ideal Scenic views from elevated position lovely Victorian wood panelling

Breakfast although very tasty, was let down by the fact that teas and coffees were a DIY affair like you get in your hotel bedroom. This was not helped by the fact that items like sugar, small spoons etc were in short supply and there was no rubbish bins for disposal of the usual breakfast detritus e.g. small cereal boxes etc. There was only one member of staff around i.e. the chef who had to undertake all ordering /waiting duties as well as cooking!

Close to Ruthin town centre. Accommodating and polite staff. Quiet. Good size room for the price. Parking available (although on this website it says there isn’t any).

A little more difficult with only having stairs to get to the next floor but staff did offer to help with luggage. Wifi wouldn’t reach my room. Breakfast was included but was very basic, although price was cheap.

Lovely setting very nice wood paneling around the hotel. Food good value for money, large portions Grounds lovely for a stroll but they are on a hill

Not having extra pillows when asked for. The fact we could hear the Tele from the next room ,found out that the Tele was on the wall where the headboard was in our room ,suggest that maybe if possible it is moved. It kept us awake on our second night Would love to have seen a coffee machine in the breakfast room. The thermos the hot water was in is was not keeping very hot.
