Location is great..just at the top end of Windermere village. Ability to use free leisure facilities at town pool/sauna/steam a couple of miles away was great. Kettle and coffee sachets/tea bags in room were useful. Parking appears to be an issue in Windermere and we paid the extra 5pounds per day for parking on site.

When using e mail to reply to messages from the property (where they ask for the message to be inserted above the line), there was no reply which was a bit disconcerting. I had requested the door code to be e mailed or texted to my wife's phone instead of mine due to our roaming arrangement whilst in the UK but my e mails were either not received or not acted on. Shame. I used the same facility after our departure to ask if they had received my e mails...but again no reply. I should have asked when at the property but manager is seemingly responsible for a number of properties and therefore not always on site.

Location - right next to Windermere train station and the main bus terminal allowing you to explore the rest of lake District by bus, for those who do not have their own car. Several supermarkets close by along with plenty of cafes, pubs and restaurants. It's about an hour or longer by bus to Keswick dependant on time of day and traffic. For those who like to hike, first buses leave at 6am. Price - travelled in May and price per night was a fair amount less compared to other properties which is a big plus, especially as I would be out almost all day so do not require all the extra amenities some people are asking for in reviews like a fridge or microwave? I think some travellers have some odd expectations considering what you pay. Room - absolutely fine. The bed was super comfy and 4 sets of different pillows. Adequate smart TV for those who want a bit of telly or netflix - hardly used it myself. Loads of storage if you want to unpack a big suitcase and have your clothes out. WiFi had excellent coverage and was fast. Shower is great, zero issues with water pressure or temperature some people are referring to. Easy to use the digital key system on the doors so you can come and go whenever. Phone numbers of people to contact are provided in case of issues.

The Lake District is filled with old buildings so take that into account. You can hear creaking when people are walking around or open/close doors. This cannot be avoided so if you do not want to be disturbed just buy some cheap earplugs. Personally I wasn't bothered at all with it as due to long hikes I was pretty much asleep in no time and normally up at 5/6am! You will always get inconsiderate guests, can't blame the owners for that.

Large, basic room that was great for our two night stay. Extra bed put in the room for our 9 year old, we also had a sofa and table but there was still plenty of space. It is quite a walk from lake windemere but we enjoyed the walk. It is next to the train station where there are regular buses that go down to the lake. Great location for the Orrest head walk which is a great walk with stunning views at the top.

Not many plug sockets in the room. As there are no breakfast facilities, the room would benefit from.having a small fridge to put milk / butter in so we could have cereal / bread / croissants in.the morning. However, there are plenty of places around that serve reasonably priced breakfasts.so it isn't a major issue.

The room was clean and spacious. We could control the heating (which when I’ve stayed at other, more expensive b&b’s you’d have it on an hour timer and that was your lot) so this was great especially after coming in from a cold wet day! The bed was comfortable and the room has everything you needed! Location was perfect!

We couldn’t really complain considering the price was very reasonable. There was only a small window so not a lot of natural light (which we didn’t mind but some might) and the bathroom floor would get very wet (might be worth putting one of those squeegees in?) but other than that perfect place and location to rest our heads after long days of walking!

Liam was very helpful and checked us in earlier (( daughter was unwell )) rooms were very clean room 9 was very good room 10 could do with some extra light as it's dark and extractor fan in bathroom wasn't working so the room gets steamed up and damp smell was a bit uncomfortable wish I knew there was an available parking space for extra £10 as I paid nearly £45 to park our car for 2 nights and had to walk 10 minutes will definitely use the station lodge again in future 😀

Spacious room, close proximity to the train station, and the hike up to Orrest Head is just round the corner. Staff was responsive, and it was easy to check in and out. About 30 minutes walk to the pier, but there is a scenic route to take and lots of food nearby.

Room lighting can be brighter. It was very cold on the day we arrived as it was rain and snow overnight. The heater was working but didn't seem to heat up the entire room well as cold air is coming in from the main door gap we suspect. Feedback to staff, and they helped by turning on the heating in the adjacent rooms, which helped. It's a pity there is no manned reception, so we couldn't leave our luggage to store until check-in. But there is a Tourist Visitor Centre just across the street where you can store your luggage for a fee.

Perfect location for exploring the local area, and easy to find too. The room is a little basic, but does the job for an overnight stay with no frills, so I was not disappointed. Would happily stay again.

Room was a little clinical, feeling very much like somewhere to pop in and leave the next day rather than somewhere to stay and have a nice relaxing experience, but this was clear when I booked it so not a big problem.

The room was a good size, easy to access and secure. It was super clean and comfortable and was in a great location. There was a smart TV so we could watch netflix on a rainy evening. The noise level was great no disturbances. Also access to the gym and pool was great, very easy stress free to acces and facilities were pretty good!

No parking on site but there is parking around the area. The shower was level with bathroom floor which meant it got really wet on the floor but it wasn’t dreadful.

Station Lodge was ideally located in the center of Windermere close to shops, restaurants and amenities. Bowness on Windermere is a 30 minute walk which we done Saturday evening. Our room was clean and comfortable. Coffee/Tea facilities were available. We used the leisure facilities at choices health club which was an amazing perk to the hotel stay!! Amazing stay we cannot to book again Thanks Liam for your amazing customer service.

I loved the location it was just around the corner from the train station and there were loads of restaurants and takeaways on the doorstep.

Nothing. There were lots of really nice restaurants on the doorstep. I stopped at a pizza place and they made me a pizza really quickly and also I went to thr local Spar and they had loads of cheap but yummy food which I brought back to the room. It was more like a flat really but without a kitchenette.
