Great location by the river, rooms overlooking the river are the nicest, great breakfast room / restaurant by the river too. Food is amazing, lovely breakfasts and had dinner there one night too and it was delicious. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Parking available right outside. 5 min walk into the centre of Worcester.

Gym was a 10 min walk away and at night I drove as it felt safer than walking by the river on my own - was nice gym and quiet though. Also our room was in the annex, only literally across the gardens but it was quite windy and rainy so we had to wear coats to go to breakfast which some people might not like, though we quickly got used to it and wasn’t a major problem for us.

Was so impressed by the Diglis made breakfast granola. The views over the river from the dining room and the walk along the terrace to get to our part of the accommodation were magic. However it must have been hairy the week before, when it flooded, as the mud had only just been swept off the tow path.

Bedside light didn't work, but was fixed as soon as we asked. Didn't appreciate how to turn the car around on the rooftop terrace by our rooms. I had to ask another driver to help as I'd got into the stew with the parking and turning. Luckily someone with the same type of hybrid car was able to help!

I realised on arrival that I'd stayed here years before with my late wife and liked it just as much this time. The hotel is an old grand house and so has nice quirky rooms and facilities you wouldn't get with a modern purpose-built building. Rooms are comfortable and warm, the staff are very friendly and ever-helpful, and the riverside location close to Worcester Cathedral is unbeatable. I didn't dine in but breakfast was lovely with a good cold buffet and wide selection of cooked offerings. Oh, and it has parking - which definitely isn't a given these days.......

Nothing I didn't like but there are some quirks which come with the old building and I guess are difficult to eliminate. The bar area is small with most of the seating area divided into an outdoor terrace, a conservatory area which is also the restaurant, and a lounge area rather than one big social space. And my room (35), in one of the separate houses used as an annexe, had very noisy plumbing which started making a racket at about 5am. As a lone traveller and early riser this didn't bother me but I imagine it might be a trial for anyone wanting a quiet romantic weekend a deux !

We were originally allocated a suite located across the hotel car park, which was rather dark, and looked out over cars in one direction and dustbins in another - not at all what we had imagined when looking forward to a weekend break in a beautiful riverside hotel. However, when we expressed our disappointment, the staff could not have been kinder or more accommodating. We were given free drinks whilst they found us an alternative room. Despite the hotel being very busy, they managed to move us into a fantastic double room with French doors opening onto the garden and a view of the river. The hotel is also a busy pub and restaurant, but hotel guests have a separate, quieter area of the lovely gardens to sit in, and are encouraged to jump the queue when ordering drinks!

Only grumble was the toaster in the breakfast room appeared to not toast enough or toasted too much!

Location was the main bonus; staff always cheerful and friendly. Breakfast was fine. Restaurant food mixed reaction in our party. Our room was delightful overlooking a grassy area and the river.

The hotel mainly catered for older people and there were only two rooms with a walk in shower, only shower over bath available - this caused a difficulty for my husband. No hot evening meal available on Sunday - only pre-ordered/prepared cold plates which lacked the promised pickles!

The location is right on the River Severn with beautiful views towards town. The river is home to a large number of swans and other birds. The hotel is a lovely Georgian building. I only had breakfast, which was excellent. Staff is very professional and friendly.

I was housed in the “Cottage” annex which lacked the charm of the main building but was warm and comfy and I slept well enough. Illumination of the pathway from the hotel to the annex was not really adequate. Just needed better lightbulbs.

Location is excellent for the city and cathedral, view from room, staff at reception and the restaurant were excellent.

Bathroom, shower didnt work it was broken, should be picked up by housekeeping. The bathroom is starting to show signs of mold around the bath. Lighting was poor. special dish of the day red thai curry - described as mildly spicy was way too hot and spicy /salty, appreciate that personal preference comes into play but have eaten similar dishes in Thailand this one didnt work.. Forgot TVs were as small as the one in that room, sound was horrible from the speakers.

Location is perfect. Staff are friendly and welcoming. Two friends stayed in the Cottage I stayed in the main house. All rooms are comfortable and very clean, the beds are very comfortable and the only thing is the rooms are very warm, fans are provided though. Parking on site is available, which is very handy, directions to the hotel were clear. Breakfast was very yummy, with a good choice and lots of options. View from the outside beer garden over the river is beautiful. Would 100% recommend and will definitely be going back.

Nothing!

Location is superb, right on the river and close to the town centre. It’s an old building so there was no lift, not suitable for a wheelchair use. No air conditioning either which we struggled with as it was exceptionally hot weather. Breakfast was excellent with a good choice, served by friendly, chatty staff. We had the Chinese meal the first evening, which was very tasty and well presented, and the meal the following evening was just as good.

Nothing really, apart from the lack of air conditioning, but fans were provided in the bedrooms.

Breakfast was varied with lots of selection. Cooked breakfast was excellent hot on arrival with just the right amount of food (not overwhelmed) Car park was small and full when we arrived so had to use the back car park which was tricky to manouver our 2 large vehicles around.

Small issue with bedroom allocation which when I challenged this it was rectified immediatley to my satisfaction. The Annexe rooms were small and I didn't think warranted the price for them. Rooms in the main buiilding were generous sizes and were great value for what we paid for them.
