The Peabody truly is an American institution of superb old-school charm and grandeur. Yes, it is an older hotel, but our room was tastefully updated, fresh, and crisp, and did not feel like "mutton dressed up as lamb" as some old hotels feel when they get "touched up/updated". The beds were very comfortable, and just all around it was magnificent to stay in this little bit of history - but the highlight - and yes, the 13 year wait was over to see the best branding exercise in the world - The Peabody Ducks. They did not disappoint, and it was so awesome to see young and old await their arrival with juvenile excitement (present companies included).

We missed a fridge in the room (not a deal-breaking) but just a suggestion, as well as the signage for self-parking, can be done a wee bit better. There are so many levels and sections to the hotel - it would be well received if it was clearer to not "wander around". The congestion in the morning in the "deli" for coffee and service can also be improved on.

The only place to stay in Memphis in my opinion - filled with life and spirt - history and glamour (oh and the Peabody ducks). Great service from staff - brilliant location. Free coffee, hot choc and tea from the deli each day - good breakfast options (cooked or via Deli). Wonderful central bar - lively without being too busy.

Very small beds - so small I had to book and pay for another room as bed size did not accommodate two teenagers and hotel did not provide an alternative. Paid for a room which was by lift lobby and noisy. Lifts are busy at times. Cleanliness of sheets and towels questionable .

Staying at the Peabody is an experience. The lobby is lovely, the ducks are adorable, and the service is top-notch. The staff members can't do enough for you, and they are exceptionally friendly and accommodating.

The only things we would suggest as improvements are an in-room fridge and coffee maker. It's been a long time since I've stayed in a room without a fridge (I thought they were kind of standard!). If you want coffee, it's complimentary, but you have to go to the on-site deli to get it. I didn't really feel like getting up and dressed to have coffee, so that was not ideal.

Your concierge Diamond customer service was above and beyond, made us feel very welcome with her great smile letting us know all that was available to us and recommending restaurants and sights to see. Our room located on 12th floor, we stopped in the morning for a quick bite to eat and coffee, Jerome made us some delicious omelettes and made sure we were taken care of, his energy and smile shows how he takes great pride in doing a great job and that all guest are well taken care of. We LOVED the marching of the Ducks, so cute!! We loved everything from the restaurant, shops, the lounge for after drinks and desserts and that you’re located walking distance to everything!!

A really special honeymoon stay at the Peabody which did not disappoint. Our room was beautiful and very spacious and peaceful. Complimentary coffee was available each morning in the deli which was a real treat and the beautiful pastries, chocolates and cakes on display are works of art. Would thoroughly recommend this hotel for anybody looking for the most special stay. You will not regret it.

I wouldn't recommend the restaurant. We dined in it one of the evenings and the overall experience was really not great. With it being Easter Sunday, we were restricted to a (fairly pricey per person) 3 course menu. However, several of the items were unavailable which meant the already limited offering was restricted even further. Service was also horrendously slow and we waited, along with all of the other tables around us for long periods at a time for things like spoons to eat our soup or to pay at the end. We both left feeling like what we had paid for the meal was definitely not worth it which was a real shame given the grandeur of the hotel as a whole - it was just a bit unexpected and an experience which felt out of place amongst a really fabulous time otherwise.

It was great to stay at the iconic hotel, and the pomp and ceremony for the Peabody ducks was great fun. There was plenty of good shopping, eating and drinking facilities to choose from. The location is perfect and the hotel is wonderfully quaint with a rich history, which all the staff are rightly proud of. There was plenty of space in the rooms. The car valet team were extremely efficient and helpful. There was a young lady on reception who checked us in, who was also extremely helpful and went out of her way to assist us. unfortunately I didn’t get her name.

It was quite overpriced as the rooms were a little tired and the restaurants didn’t live up to the high expectations and prices, but you are paying for the name and the history, so it was worth it for a one off experience.

The hotel decor. The bed. The ducks. The size of the room. All equally excellent! The Peabody is a perfect mix of opulence charm, and character. Hands down one of the best hotels either I or my husband ever stayed in. If you find yourself in Memphis this is THE place to stay. I wouldn't even consider other options if I were ever to come back. Oh, and they let us check in at 5am and let us into the room, which was a blessing for two people straight off Amtrak. I could have wept with gratitude.

A very minor point but would have been nice if the reception staff could have booked the taxi for us rather than just offering phone numbers. They were all super polite and very welcoming though - so that's just nitpicking. This is a GREAT hotel.

The location of the hotel is perfect for exploring the iconic Beale Street. The staff were lovely in sharing valuable tips with us to make our stay enjoyable, and we had a fantastic time overall in Memphis. Our trip would not have been the same if we had stayed in a different hotel!

The price is high for what you get when staying at this hotel. I understand that it is an institution with a lot of history, but this does not justify the high prices.

The Peabody is a beautiful hotel and I very much enjoyed the ambience. We also loved watching the marching of the ducks

The rooms are small (especially for what you are paying for them) - I do understand this is an old hotel and that is the main reason the rooms are small. My biggest issue though is really out of the property’s control- the street noise is excessive and made it hard to get much sleep. There were cars revving engines and blaring music most of the night.

The Peabody is always amazing, but they exceeded it this time. This trip to the Peabody was for our baby girl’s third birthday. I booked the room a month ago, and noticed I made a mistake as I revisited my confirmation email when we were on our way. We were on our way to check in, and I noticed I had accidentally booked the room for the night before. I just knew we would have to turn around and go home but decided to call them to try to explain. The staff listened and was extremely understanding! They transferred my reservation to tonight with no extra charge. Of course, the check in was super easy, the room was sparklingly, and everything else was second to none. Not to mention, The Peabody is SO safe and so are the the close-walk restaurants. I will never stay anywhere else in Memphis!

Nothing! We loved everything!
