We really liked the location, close to our daughters' apartments. The room was adequate although the view of the adjacent apartment building and poorly landscaped green space was disappointing. And the aging hotel itself could use a little facelift.

Our only complaint, a small one, involved breakfast. We travel a lot and get the hotel breakfast in foreign cities, usually not in America. The first morning, I asked if we had purchased breakfast, and we were seated and served breakfast...(adequate, no omelet station), but the second morning we were told we had not purchased breakfast after all. A momentary embarrassment in front of strangers. (In the end, the hotel was correct.)

The front desk staff was rockstar!! Absolutely amazing people on every shift. The manager of the restaurant was the hero, really. Made everyone feel welcomed and was pleasant. Hotel location is 11/10. Event spaces nice.

The hotel is old. Rooms don't even have USBs to plug phones. Rooms look like surfaced cleaned for so many years. Stains on carpets and walls.. Housekeeping and the "Press Zero" people lacked much needed customer service skills. Elevators could use sanitizing... Lobby and breakfast restaurant furniture was soiled and old.

Breakfast, location, staff

Beds make a lot of noise, the A/C must be 100 years old - I couldn't sleep for a while because of the noise coming from the cabinet when A/C worked. You should change the faces of doors that are facing the corridor. They don't look like room doors but like entrance doors of old basements. The corridor will look much more beautiful if you find a solution to that. You should also work on the lights in the corridors to rooms. You can make it look much better with small touches.

Room was cozy, comfortable, clean with a great view and close to the National Zoo. The hotel restuaurant was excellent.

There was a mix up with the credit card I provided at check in for incidentals, then after I checked out and was on my way to New York I recieved a text stating I needed to return to settle my charges. I couldn't return since I was on the road. The front desk person handled this with phone calls and secured data info through emails, and it was corrected.

The entire experience is unmatched. The responsiveness and attnetion to details has truly made this stay exyremely enjoyable and I would highly reccommend this service for future residence. Needs were addressed prior to our arrival. 10 out of 10 recommend!

More socks would have been preferred, however not vital or essential for ensuring that work could still be addressed. Issies were handled and tackled very well. Nothing was difficult to remedy.

The pool was nice and had a good view. Great location in the district. Hotel is very big. Lobby is spacious with market and Cafe. Bar was a little small but nice. One girl and I (also female) came back after our night out very late, almost near morning. A creepy guy was talking to us as we approached the hotel lobby entrance and he was giving us the creeps. Security must have noticed and walked with us into the hotel all the way to the elevators which we GREATLY appreciated. Shout out to that guy! Don't let that deter you though this is in a good area and not scary. I think the guy just followed us on our way, yikes.

One of our rooms was clean but my friends found a cowboy hat on the table and a foot file (like you would use to buff your feet) on the lampshade near the bed. So kind of weird lol and clearly missed by housekeeping but the rooms were all clean though. My room bathroom light was VERY dim. Had to go in another room to put on make up but for just one night no biggie.

In town for a family celebration. Selected Hilton for proximity (walking distance) to venue. Following the soiree several others followed us back for food and beverages. Everyone enjoyed the arrangement.

Reservations. Although when the reservation was made, we indicated that early check in would be appreciated, it didn't happen. Guess I don't have enough Hilton points. We were advised that when a room became available, we would receive a text. At 4:10 a return to the lobby, had a line of guests being issued rooms. Still no text. When i made it to the head of the line, a room was made available. Cutting it pretty close for a 5:00pm event 10 minutes away. :(

Room was nice and had all we need - comfy bed, nice and clean. I appreciated the refillable shampoo, conditioner, etc. rather than all the plastic waste from little bottles.

mandatory fee to spend on food/amenities - should have been told that up front when pricing the room

Hotel was well laid out with great amenities. Breakfast was very good. Expensive parking.

Pool was crowded and the check-in process was very slow due to their being too few staff and too many folks checking in. Seems to me that a property knows how many folks they have checking in in advance, so should be able to account for this.

We love this hotel for many reasons, primarily the pool and the pool side service with great food and a great staff who are always kind and helpful.

While we love the vibe, the hotel could stand for some updates in furniture, etc. Especially entertainment options on the TV -- adding the ability to stream would be fantastic.
