The staff at the W were mostly very helpful and friendly except for a couple of inroom dining deliverers who were very abrupt and surly. The food at the breakfast buffet is delicious and the servers and waitresses were happy to be there and very friendly. The inroom dining food was delicious and well prepared and presented too. The Away Spa features sauna, steam room and jacuzzi in beautiful decor. I felt relaxed there. A full gym including free weights impressed me. The pool is long enough for some decent lap swimming and was nice and clean. Water temperature was cool but it is summer so refreshing. Great that the pool is out of the sun.

I stayed 4 nights but had only one visit from housekeeping where they refreshed the towels and made the bed. No vaccuuming was done. The corridors needed vacuuming. At the time I thought they could even install robot vacuums in each level to do a quiet clean or if they are understaffed. I asked for the minibar to be removed but they would charge $25 to do that. There is so much alcohol placed in the room. A whole section of room space for it. Might suit some but not to my taste. So I stored that out of the way in a corner behind the big intrusive bar unit during my stay.

I booked for 2 adults and 1 child including breakfast. The hotel said breakfast wasn't included for our daughter. After some emailing back and forth, and only after checking out and contacting booking.com did the hotel admit the mistake. I requested a refund for the extra breakfast not received and the hotel agreed without hesitation. I'm only posting this review to assist other users if they encounter the same problem.

No exhaust or toilet brushes in the toilets; no bidets either in the toilets Lighting difficult to control with the touch switches - often required fiddling around in the dark and causing sudden bright light up annoying the partner Could do better for environment by ditching small disposable bottles of drinking water & replacing it with water jugs that can be refilled on demand Dimly light corridors with insects painted all around was a bit wierd sense of interior decoration for a hotel

Loved the outlook from our room, the views gorgeous at night looking out at the city lights, the pool area is great! Staff were helpful. Even though our first room wasn’t, the second room we were changed too was clean, neat, comfortable and fresh!

It was unfortunate that the Wet Deck was closed for a function, would have like to have been able to enjoy this venue and see the casino Christmas Light display from there in the evening. I don’t like how dark the Living Room Bar area is, we enjoyed the Festive High Tea down there and it was a bit dark and gloomy. I would have like to have seen more options for the in room dining menu. I paid additionally for balloons to be set up in the bedroom, I didn’t like that in the first instance the balloons were mostly deflated upon entry, which spoiled the surprise for my daughter and was quite the let down. The staff did re-do the balloon set up, and it was certainly a little better the second time, but it was very disappointing to just not have it right the first time.

The Staff were all very helpful and very and had excellent customer service. Upon arrival the conciergerie was friendly and helpful, our luggage made it to the room with a smile, the front desk was very helpful as we arrived a little early and were able to check in and get ready for a prearrange meeting. Facilities were amazing, I took advantage of using the sauna and spa and steam room. The Breakfast was excellent a huge variety of foods and various types of milk etc, catered for Gluten free and Children had their own min buffet. The location was perfect a simple walk to south Bank and ferry rides - took advantage of the low fares.

Noise in the pool needs to be dampen when it gets busy.

Excellent room with bath tub, roams and amenities. Great restaurant and comfortable stay all round.

It was too expensive for what you get in terms of location with roadworks around the hotel (maybe when it’s complete it will be worth it). While the staff did find a solution eventually, I was very surprised to find out that you required a physical credit card at check in for a deposit which caused some stress. Everywhere I’ve travelled recently (Sydney, Europe,US) are happy with a digital wallet card being charged for deposit - would really like to see W keep up with the times (digital options) because it is a beautiful chain.

The staff were lovely. Very accommodating and polite and eager to assist. They were approachable and it felt like I was talking to a real person which is rare in this day and age. The rooms were very well presented and the quality of the beds were soft and fluffy. I really enjoyed my sleep. The entertainment was great too with the ability to cast your mobile device very easily onto the big screen so netflix or stan was easily accessible. The ability to change the lighting brightness was a nice touch.

Hmm...you know nothing is ever perfect. So there were minor inconveniences. I always preferred to be able to access my car if need be without inconveniencing any one else. Like a valet for example. If I needed something from my car at midnight for example I don't like the idea of having to ask someone to do that. Don't get me wrong, when I did come down to get something they were super accommodating so no fault of theirs. It was just the inconvenience I felt. I guess that's more of a "me" problem anyways. The other very minor issue I had was the breakfast, while lovely, it just wasn't amazing. Maybe it was just me and I was having one of those off days. It was a long night.

We loved our room and the amazing view over Southbank and the river. The staff were absolutely lovely. Buffet breakfast is by far the best hotel breakfast we’ve had! And thank you to Alex Li (the in room dining supervisor) for the lovely balloon and chocolates on our arrival to celebrate our anniversary. It was such a kind and thoughtful touch, we immediately felt so welcomed. Such a wonderful stay, we can’t wait to come back!

Upon arrival the staff downstairs were a little awkward. Nobody greeted us and we had to walk up to them and let them know we were there to check in, they then told us we had to go upstairs but didn’t assist or show us the way. This was the only awkward encounter we had. The rest of the stay was lovely.

The finishings, the facilities, the buffet breakfast and the room amenities were very fancy

The watermelon cocktails on the wet deck tasted off/fermented and were very expensive. Our rollaway bed had hair in the wheels which was a bit off putting. We had a group of three but only two bathrobes and despite requests of a third robe it wasn't delivered. The restaurant Lex wasn't open on the Sunday night and all the spa treatment sessions were booked out.

We loved everything. My daughter was obsessed with the pool. The food is outstanding we had breakfast buffet, dinner at the Lex, lunch at the Wet deck and in-room dining. One of the best hotels we’ve stayed.

The mattress was a little too soft and every time someone moved during the sleep, the mattress moved too and it felt like we were on a boat in the sea. Our room was not been serviced until the afternoon. Someone of the housekeeping staff came to service our room after we called the w/w team.
