Location could not be better! Such a walkable & charming part of town. The room was cozy, clean, and spacious! We had water bottles waiting for us in the room - and there was constantly coffee available. Dropping off the bags/checking in was also a breeze!

The shower leaks all over the floor! There are two shower curtains but with the way it is set up (rain shower head in the middle of a claw tub), there is no way to keep the water in. The floors are also really creeky - normally does not bother me but our upstairs neighbors were walking around a ton after getting home late from the Christmas market (who can blame them!).

the location, the staff were excellent, the building and room were equally as good, best described as shabby boutique, the room was clean, warm and welcoming, the bathroom was lovely and included a free standing bath.

I think all the rooms in the building needs rugs to absorb some of the noise from the wooden floor boarded floor, we could hear every footstep of the room above us, which wasn't too bad but loud enough to keep us awake. The free standing bath is good, but using the shower meant water poured down the back wall, flooding the bathroom floor. and personally I thought the coffee let it down breakfast, it's a coffee machine you'd expect to find in a convince hotel.

This b&b exceeded our expectations. The room we had ( the loft ) was perfect, we are on our honeymoon and were there for Christmas and it was so romantic. The clawfoot bath was a bonus. Location was amazing right in the middle of the historic centre. The staff are so friendly and gave us some great recommendations especially about where to go for Christmas lunch. The breakfast was lovely. Bruges is now my favorite place to be and when we come back we will definitely be staying here.

Not a major but my side of the bed was on a slight lean.

The b&b is beautiful and in an amazing location so close to the centre and easy to get to from the train station, breakfast was delicious and served in the neighbouring building which was a stunning dining area to start your day, the bedroom we stayed in was right at the top up the stairs, we were travelling light with just backpacks so not a problem at all but something to consider with larger suitcases etc the room was so comfortable and cosy and we had a great nights sleep and thoroughly enjoyed our stay, Bruges is beautiful and this stay made it perfect

Only one tiny problem would be the raised wooden lip around the bath area which we did both trip over whilst getting ready to shower but really not an issue once you remember it is there :-)

Great location, nice pleasant greeting, easy parking. Welcome wine & water was nice. Breakfast buffet good. Nice shower and bathroom. Decent size bedroom on 2nd floor with good view.

I personally found the bed uncomfortable, not sure if too firm or soft but it wasn't supportive and I got backache! Also had a good few mosquito bites whilst in the bedroom at night, maybe an anti- mossie plug in would be beneficial. We were OK with the steep stairs but a handrail might be a good idea. It was a little tricky coming from the top floor room almost right onto the top stair. A rail to support there would be good.

Location, location, location! Close to the belfry tower, and right next to the bus stop. The shopping street is literally across the street and so are the restaurants. The loft bedroom was spacious, super quiet, well-lit with windows and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was super and loved access to nextdoor building for the sitting area and breakfast in the morning.

The loft is on the top floor so that means a typical narrow European stairwell, not suited to heavy suitcases :) The clawfoot tub is cute but very deep and a little difficult to get into for a shower.

Location in the central area of Bruges was perfect. Easy access from the station and very close to Markt, the main square in Bruges. We travelled by cycle and it was very helpful being able to keep our bikes inside the house overnight. 1669 is an old building in a typical Flemish style which retained much of the feel of an old city dwelling. Rooms were very spacious and this combined with the charm of the house more than made up for lack of 21st c refinement. If you crave marble floors or plush carpeting everywhere, this won't be for you, but if you want a warm welcome and a lot of character, you will be very pleased you stayed at 1669. And the breakfast, served next door was suberb

Great breakfast, in a cozy atmosphere, the hosts were very friendly, the location was great, nearby shops and restaurants, just 5 minutes to The Markt and Belfry, walkable distance to anything, vintage furnishings which added to the story of Bruges.

A little uncomfortable with the curtain instead of a bathroom door, and the fact that the shower head was on the ceiling, a little hard to have a shower without your hair getting wet. Not major "problems", though.

The meet and great from Oliver was lovely and very welcoming. Informed us about parking even before we arrived. The room was beautiful. Top floor, very romantic. Cleaned daily. Wine and water on arrival. Breakfast was plentiful and waited for us after having a lie in. Bacon, eggs, fresh bread and orange. Coffee machines in every room. The location was amazing! Everything close by. Thank you 1669. We could come and go as we like.

The only negative from our point of view was the bed. It was comfortable but it was two beds together and we kept falling into each other and dipping down during the night. Would of preferred a proper double to cosy up to. Not a bad review but for our wedding anniversary would of loved to be a le to cosy up together without sinking into the middle.

Within walking distance to train station, and just 5 minute walk to Markt square. Very nice breakfast in building next door. Loft room well furnished. Some drinks furnished in room and coffee machine in room or lobby. Overall very nice place in quiet location but close to most tourist sites.

Lots of stairs to loft, and tall shower/tub can be difficult to step in and out. If you have large luggage or cannot navigate stairs I would suggest choosing another room on a lower floor.
