The hotel is in an excellent location 10 minutes walk from the main railway station and at the top of the two main shopping streets. The rooms are well appointed and very clean.

The shower/toilet arrangement in the bedroom is slightly unusual with the toilet being separate from the shower room with the wash hand basin being in the shower room.

Great location, couple of minutes of walk to the nearest shops and couple more to Belfort tower. Also big choice on restaurants nerby. The personal was really nice and always helpful, hotel was really quiet and we could relax even with two small kids. ;) The room was really big with enough day light and also well equipped.

The beds could have been a little bit more comfortable, but we still had a good sleep. Also the Nespresso cofee machine was really practical but sometimes we had problems with coffee capsules being "swallowed" by it. All in all, just some small things that didn't bothered us too much. :)

Clean and comfortable hotel and location was while not in the centre , convenient for the centre and the station.

What was odd was that the hotel seemed keen to persuade you not to have your room cleaned, offering to plant a tree if it was not cleaned. I felt for the price ( we paid nearly £250 per night) I would like my room cleaned. However the water bottle as not refilled, or was the tea, coffee and milk. It looked like only the bed had been straightened. To refill your water bottle , you have to go down to reception area and do it yourself. This was in the guise of being ‘sustainable ‘ but it felt a bit cheap for an expensive hotel.

Breakfast was kind of expensive, as you could buy much better in the area for the same amount. However the quality and quantity and options were satisfying. If you have kids that want to put 10 different things in their plate, and get a bite of each, it is a great choice.

I loved the location, as it is in walking proximity of most attractions and places to go. However, just under the rooms, there are few youth bars, that can be noisy at night. Our room was in the front, therefore we could listen to the noise, but not loud enough to kept us from sleeping. You will have to pick between view (front rooms) and quiet (back rooms).

The triple room we booked was cute and comfortable with a nice view over the city. We had a painful mixup with another hotel that starts with the word Groen (not so different from groan in English), so had to book Portinari the morning of arrival and really enjoyed this place. The room was very modern, airy and light with mood enhancing decor. The breakfast was phenomenal and there were lots of little things around the place that made the trip easy, like a cool free water dispenser in the lobby with options for fizzy water. All in all a great place to stay.

At the time we were visiting there were renovations going on outside. The entrance was a bit hard to discover, but this wasn't a noise or inconvenience factor.

Room was clean and modern. Location was great. Arrived by train from Brussels, was 850m from train station. Easy walk to main town square. Did not partake of breakfast (€17/person) … chose to walk to local cafes. Room was over full with unrequited furniture, took up too much space. Required facility of some description, on which to place luggage.

Beds were singles, extraordinarily narrow and uncomfortable. Had to put in effort to separate as they were originally configured as a double, albeit we had requested singles. Pillows were lifeless. Bathroom was open to room via transparent floor to ceiling glass. Did however, have pull down blind. No door on bathroom. However, did have separate toilet.

The staff at the hotel were very helpful and welcoming. They took good care of us for any issues that arose and were very happy to help and took pride in the hotel and our stay. The breakfast here is very good. Real eggs (not powdered) and lots of different things for everyone. I definitely recommend the breakfast and appreciate the hotel granting us a free breakfast for the minor issues in our room. I would definitely recommend and stay here again for both the location, friendly staff, and hopefully better room quality.

I was disappointed to find our room in a rather worn-out condition. The bathroom tap had a leak which we reported right away, but none of the light switches worked properly, and one light flickered on and off like a strobe. Additionally, the paint was chipping. I think its fair to expect higher quality at 250 EURO/Night. It seems this hotel is heavily visited and know the hotel will address the issues. They were fair in addressing the issue and offering a complimentary breakfast for the hassle, which was appreciated and welcomed.

Lovely room. Excellent location. Friendly and helpful staff.

The only reason we’ve not given it 10 out of 10, is that unfortunately (for us) they are having building and improvement works going on. Whilst we appreciate it is necessary, it would have been nice to know in advance and certainly the stay was somewhat spoilt when works commenced at 7am !! A bit early when one is on holiday. To be fair, The hotel did apologise and did give us a complimentary breakfast as a gesture of compensation. We would certainly go / use again if in Brugge in the future.

Super friendly staff on the reception desk, spotlessly clean rooms which were so sound-proofed even considering their location is overlooking the market square of Bruges. We were staying whilst the Cycle race from Bruges to Ypres was on both days and we heard no noise at all from all the setting up. We had two different rooms in this hotel, the first night we had a view overlooking the city and the second (which we spontaneously booked at reception) was overlooking the busy market square. The receptionist was so kind, helpful and friendly and she gave us a beautiful room that will be unforgettable for us. I am sorry I didn’t get her name, but she had dark hair and told us she was actually Slovenian and not Belgian. The breakfast looked fantastic, however we didn’t go for it either morning. The hotel is modern all over, it’s so clean everywhere you look and it has such a welcoming and warm feel. I would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone, and I wish to come again!

Nothing.. it was perfect honestly!
