Absolutely wonderful stay. Exceeded expectations. Not only the stunning property, which is very special, but the excellent location, close to everything you would want to see in Brugge. Most of all, I have to mention the absolutely lovely hosts. We were made so very welcome, and provided with a great overview of what to do and where to go in the city upon arrival. And the breakfast.... oh the breakfast! Good lord, it was wonderful. The hosts could not have been more helpful, kind, friendly or accommodating. It's one we will remember for a long time and certainly will be advising friends/ family to stay at if they are in Brugge. I don't tend to write a lot of reviews, but on behalf of me, my partner and the friends we were travelling, we wanted to share what a wonderful experience we had staying here.

I honestly can't think of a single thing.

The place is beautiful, the location is central, and the staff are incredibly kind, generous, and caring. Me and my partner adored our stay and couldn't be happier with everything. The art on the walls, the beautiful fireplaces, the light and spacious bathrooms, the very scrummy breakfasts, and the ease of coming and going with the key code system. Wouldn't have changed a single thing about the place or our stay. Loved it all.

Honestly, I can't think of a single thing to write in this box. The lovely owners of the b&b don't deserve anything to be written in this box. They take great pride in their work and it shows very clearly.

The b&b was beyond any expectations! The furnishings were beautiful and the room was a wow! It was amazing and the pictures on the website are a true representation of the rooms. They were very clean, comfortable and luxurious. John was lovely and very welcoming. He made sure we knew he was always available for us. John mapped out places to eat and visit on a useful map. We tried to fit it all in! The breakfast was freshly cooked and faultless. If we went back to Brugge I’d definitely stay there again. Thank you John for an amazing stay in your home and b&b!!

There was absolutely nothing to not like. It was absolutely perfect! The best place I’ve ever stayed in.

We loved our stay at B&B Huis 'T Schaep! The location is perfect, a short walking distance to everywhere and very quiet, room is elegant and spacious, with old time charm and modern comfort, Michael is the best host, very kind and very knowledgeable, he went out of his way to help us. My husband was sick when we arrived, his wife made ginger tea for him, he rested very well while I go out to explore the city, and recovered when we left! The breakfast was absolutely delicious, Michael gave excellent recommendations to help plan out our days, my only regret is we couldn't stay for longer!

One of the nicest properties I have stayed at. My room, the Rubens, was absolutely beautiful and the largest I’ve ever stayed in. Classic 19th century furnishings and decor, yet the bathroom was large and modern. Breakfast is first rate, with different fresh fruit each day and fresh squeezed orange juice. Michael and his wife were unfailingly helpful and kind, with great recommendations for restaurants and the sites. Michael was also great to chat with about the topics of the day. This B&B is radically underpriced for what it is. I’ve been to luxury hotels that don’t compare. Excellent location.

For those with mobility problems, request the rooms on the first floor. The stairs to the second floor are quite steep and narrow. They weren’t a problem for me.

It was an exceptional experience to have the opportunity to stay at Huis’T Schaep. The building itself is very historical and has been maintained as an authentic part of Bruges’ history. The hosts Michael and his Brother John made us feel very welcome and were very passionate about helping us to enjoy our Bruges experience. They both speak many languages fluently and their recommendations of places and experiences were very much appreciated. We will definitely be returning. We cannot thank Michael enough and we will always remember their amazing hospitality.

Reception - Welcomed by John, into his absolutely amazing home. He gave personal recommendations for restaurants, trips and sights in the city. Location - walking distance to everywhere. 10 minutes from the railway station Room - Large and spacious, with coffee machine! Walk in shower. Huge comfortable bed, extra pillows were in the wardrobe. The room we stayed in had air conditioning if required Breakfast - served in a beautiful room, nothing was too much trouble for John. Eggs and bacon were delicious, breadbasket was plentiful, great coffee John is the most incredible and welcoming host, it seems like nothing is too much trouble for him.

Location is great, for both cultural center of the city to walk in and for transportation links to get to nearby. Breakfast is fulfilling, tasty and varied with esthetical delivery. Host Michael is extremely awesome, he will show and explain you anything you'd like to know about the local places, including some history of it. We loved the welcoming and we got Ruben room with is extremely special and beautiful room. Room had everything in it, including things like tea, water and coffee. Bath was amazing! It was between 6-11 degrees Celsius per day's and nights we stayed in there, and the room was warm. The building in general is a peace of art with its own history. Check out with Michael what story does it keep! We needed to keep our bags before we left late and Michael allowed us to keep them and take back whenever we want to. Also we loved the system that opens doors, very comfy. Lounge zone is awesome with balcony for people to smoke isolated if needed. In overall, this place is the one to choose, price is totally worth it, and Michael is a hosting champion.

B&B ‘t Schaep is located on a quiet street that is only a short walk from the Grote Markt. The owner, John, is so attentive and gentile. The interior of the B&B is absolutely charming. Lovingly restored, it was once the home of stained glass artist, Samuel Coucke. The rooms and the bathrooms are roomy and luxurious. The beds are big and comfortable. The coffee is delicious (important!). Breakfast is huge, delicious and included in the price of the room. The breakfast room itself is a testament to the artist, Samuel Coucke.

It was absolutely perfect!
