The landlady was super helpful with tips what to visit and the car parking that we needed for the last two days. The property had decent sized rooms and clean bathrooms. The breakfast buffet was generous and was included in the price, special mention goes for the freshly squeezed orange juice. The location is very good, the main Market Square was about 6 minutes walk away.

The road on which the property is located was quite noisy till late at night due to regular car traffic on cobble stones and some building works in the vicinity that was carried out early in the morning even on the weekend.

Amazing family run hotel just off the main square of Bruges. The owners are super friendly, kind and ensure that you are comfortable and enjoy your stay. The main Wintergloed (Christmas Market) was 1 minute walk away. The hotel is in a quiet street with restaurants very close by, the room was a perfect size, warm and quadruple glazed, which meant peaceful nights sleep! The stay included a wonderful selection for continental breakfast, great coffee and fresh orange juice. The owners can suggest many activities for you to fill your time in Bruges. With its central location, I liked that you could go out for an activity, relax back at the hotel and then go out for further activities later! Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable! Highly recommend!

This is a little gem of a hotel and we had three fabulous nights here. The location is perfectly placed - a short walk to the main square and all the sights within easy reach. The hotel is spotlessly clean and we were made to feel so welcome by Veronique- lots of advice on what to see and where to go in Bruges, and freshly squeezed orange juice to go alongside a very lovely breakfast buffet each morning. Our bedroom was bright, plenty of space and fab bathroom with all the necessities taken care of. Parking was easy, just around the corner from the hotel. Highly recommend this as a base for a city break in Bruges and we will be back!!

Nothing at all, it was all fantastic!

The location was perfect, everything was walkable from the hotel. The welcome was warm and friendly, and the owner gave us lots of helpful information. Breakfast was plentiful, with great coffee! The breakfast room and courtyard were very pretty, and the whole hotel - decor etc - is calm and elegant. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was spacious with a good shower. Highly recommended, we would definitely choose this hotel again.

A public car park is just around the corner if the hotel doesn't have space in its garage, and the first time we tried to park there were no spaces but after 5-10 minutes we did get a space.

Professional and helpful service from family-owned small hotel. Very clean and well-appointed. Excellent location just off the center place. We enjoyed the Continental breakfast with fresh juice served tableside overlooking the lovely garden. Our proprietor took much well-deserved pride in her family-owned hotel. The high-quality men's and women's boutiques on opposite adjoining rooms to the hotel lobby is a great touch.

We could have used more outlets by beds for charging devices.

Location is perfect, a stone’s throw from the main square. A lovely street, with a little life but not too much so that you didn’t feel like you were right in the middle of the city. Very well kept, modern and modest rooms but everything you needed. The breakfast room is beautiful and gave us everything we could need.

A bit of late night noise where bars further down the street emptied but to be expected. Also, the early traffic on the cobbled street woke us up, but again, to be expected. But nothing against the actual property itself!

Walking into our room we could immediately smell the most delightful room spray or similar which was so welcoming. The host was so helpful and kind. There is an option to use stairs or a lift which is very helpful with luggage. The breakfast room delightful and I enjoy a breakfast that has a lighter option like the one available at Hotel Alegria. Perhaps not for you if you enjoy a full breakfast but for me and my son’s it was perfect. Right in the middle of town so the location is perfect, can literally walk everywhere or hire a bike and ride. We walked to the accommodation from the train station which took about 25 minutes and as we came in the early evening it was such a beautiful way to enter and experience the stunning town of Brugge. There is an excellent laundromat very close by to the accommodation too which is very handy.

There was nothing that I didn’t like. Loved the whole experience. Perhaps the milk could have been replaced when the room was serviced but that is a very minor thing that did not impact my stay at all.

What a gem of a hotel! So glad we found Hotel Alegria. Veronique went above and beyond to make our stay perfect and she succeeded. She gave us lots of local advice on where to visit and also restaurant recommendations. Bed was so comfortable with fabulous quality sheets and our room had absolutely everything we needed. Breakfast was superb with a wide variety of high quality fresh ingredients. Such a treat to have orange juice freshly squeezed to order. Location was very close to centre and carpark was nearby and easy to access. Thank you for your excellent hospitality Veronique. We didn't want to leave!

Great location 5 minutes from square. Couple of good restaurants in the same street. Shuttle bus stops over the road from hotel. Our room was fine & beds were comfortable. Everywhere spotlessly clean. Continental breakfast was ok & good coffee machine.

The bath was deep & hard to get in & out of to use shower. No slip mat in bath so need to be careful. Some noise at night in garden view room from cafe bar a few buildings down from hotel.

Exceptional located and cute hotel, close to Grote Markt, the heart of the city. We had a pleasant stay, everything was nice. Impressed by the extreme cleanliness, very cosy and intimate atmosphere. Lady Veronique, the owner of the hotel, is an extraordinary woman! She was very understanding and helped us with everything we asked for. We thank you again, from the bottom of our hearts! Hope to come back again one day🙏
