Enjoyed my stay, quiet 6 bed female dorm, no party hostel, could sleep excellent. A lot of stairs if you carry luggage but it‘s worth the price- Banff is really expensive, hostel is the smart choice. Breakfast is rather simple, cereals, toast, some tiny pastry’s, tea, coffee, syrup/juice… fruit would be nice…but it’s free, if you prefer healthy or have issues (lactose, …) I would advice to just grab a tea and choose one of the many breakfast options on the way to the centre. Also small grocery store near and bigger one in the centre if Banff (food can be stored in the hostel+) If you take the shuttle bus from Calgary : it arrives at Red Carpet Inn, just 5-10 min walk, very convenient. All other local busses have station nearby, 10min walk to central bus stop (all busses you need for daytrips) Bathroom in dorm was excellent

I enjoyed the extra-2bed upper floor area in dorm (more stairs though) - but that might not be everybody’s preference, you might wanna ask about that when you arrive. The regular bunks could use some curtains for privacy. Breakfast options could improve a tad 😉

Great value for money, nice hostel vibe. Free breakfast not quite as nice as one of the other hostels nearby, but it's still a free breakfast! And nice rooms with curtains for privacy.

The hostel is centrally located in downtown Banff and offers free parking options in front of the house. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The accommodation is clean, comfy bed with bedding and curtains for privacy in shared dorms. The dorm that I stayed in had an own bathroom and shower, which was super practical. The common area downstairs was great for watching tv, playing games, chatting with other guests or working. There's a huge kitchen with everything you need in the underground floor. Everything was super convenient! I enjoyed my stay and will gladly come again :)

It was rather loud in the room because there were 3 fans running all night long for ventilation.

Cheap, well located, lots of like-minded travellers that were friendly, shared bathrooms inside the rooms and plenty of storage space

The blankets provided were inadequate, barely big enough to even cover your body, let alone keep you warm and I’m not even a bigger person. Also at 6’1, I barely fit into the beds, I don’t think a tall person would manage

We were a family of 4 adults on ski trip and staying in private bunk room with kitchenette. We had plenty of room for all the extra ski stuff and having kitchenette was perfect. Beds were comfortable, bathroom was clean and wifi worked well. Staff at desk were nice and a free breakfast was offered at 8 am but we were on the road to ski hills before that so was not able to take advantage of this. One of the reasons we chose this hostel was the free parking which was essential for us. Traffic and parking were horrible in the downtown area and we were able to walk to everything.

Not negatives but just suggestions to add more/better bed pillows and maybe add some new board games, we could only find a scrabble game and I don't think it was intact. Our favorites are Catan and Ticket to Ride.

Stayed here for 7 nights, definitely didn't feel that long. Was with a group of friends for a part of the trip. Staff was very nice especially Bishal who came up at 1:30 in the morning to open the door and was a good sport during the whole trip. He has a lot of experience working there and was a great staff person for sure. All the staff people were excellent really. The rooms were good, were cleaned daily, had good ventilation and heating. I found everything very pleasant and surprisingly it was also the cheapest place I found while looking for places in Banff. Great Job!

The only thing I didn't like was the lack of common areas. don't get me wrong, there's a good amount of space available but it closes sharply at midnight. As a hostel I expected that the area might still be available to use but it's understandable.

Our double bunk room and en suite was clean and simple. Smart TV with Netflix was a pleasant surprise and good storage in the form of under-bed drawers and lockable wardrobes. Charging points, lamp and curtain by each bed. The free breakfast was simple but good. Choice of cereals, toast, peanut butter, jam, butter, coffee, tea and some cakes. Kitchen was pretty well equipped for a longer stay. There was a nice social area near reception. Great for relaxing or watching TV with nice view outside. Location good - a minute’s walk from the bus stop to access ski resorts.

The kitchen wasn’t always super clean and sometimes smelled. However staff were happy to help with any issues if you asked them.

The locations was great, very good value for money. I was just using the hostel as a base while visiting a friend in Banff. The staff and other residents were all really nice and I appreciated the company and chats. Wifi worked well, bed was fine and room was clean. I didn't use the showers as went to friends place for a shower. A very safe place to be and didn't worry about my belonging going missing. Stored my skis and boots all stay with no problems.

Location was great. Just down the road from the Main Street of Banff and breakfast included made it easy in to morning and cheap rather then finding a cafe or buying stuff to cook

My top bunk didn’t have a curtain on either side and I was right next to the door. The vanity wasn’t in the bathroom either and didn’t have a door to the bed area which meant when someone had the light on I had no cover from the light.
