The location was perfect and quiet, with less tour busses pulling in and out all day like some hotels closer to the town center. The Roam bus from the gondola dropped us off right across the street. The size of the rooms (Superior 2 Bedroom Suite 2 Queen) were more than adequate for 4 people. Very clean and comfortable beds. We were able to park our pickup truck behind the hotel.

Upon check-in, the card reader was malfunctioning, which caused three pending holds for our three night stay (each with an additional $100 damage deposit) which triggered a fraud alert with my CC company that I had to call and clear up. Overall, the hotel was very clean but the carpets were worn and had many stains.

All the women at the front desk were personable and helped with the special requests we had. Also the gentleman on duty in the early morning helped. Good location. Bus passes Bus stop close by.

There was no microwave or kettle in the room. I had inquired beforehand and was told there was one in the lobby, but turned out it was behind the reception area. Please be explicit about discounts & bus passes. Unaware there was a hostel next door and right next to our window. They had music into the wee hours. Not that your hotel has a say, but it would have played part in my decision.

Affordable, great and accommodating staff, pet friendly, and located in a prime location. They provide a dog bed and a dog bowl, which was a nice touch. I also like that they have a 2 bedroom suite which is quite roomy (unlike other hotels where you need to walk sideways just to get from one part of the room to another). Fitness centre, small pool, and coin laundry are available. Perfect for friends or families, and quick weekend stays.

Vacuums and linens just left outside the hallways, for long periods of time. Building is a bit older but still okay - not a deal breaker. Not necessarily "didn't like" but if you have a tall car or truck expect to park outside, instead of underground.

The room was big enough and beds were very comfy. We had a problem with the Gondola which broke down, and we had to come down from the Sulphur Mountain on foot at 2.30 in the morning. We got to the hotel at 5.15 in the morning explained the situation to them and they let us have a late check out at 13.00 pm with no extra cost. Hotel location was perfect.

Room was very basic, and the views we had were to the hotel next door which wasn't very appealing. The price of the room was far too high even for a main street hotel.

Good location, within walking distance to the centre of Banff. Had a room at the back of the hotel which was fairly quiet. Room was huge, with a small kitchenette (sink and microwave). Staff were pleasant. Good for the price, especially when it comes to location in Banff.

Parking very limited. There is underground parking we could not use due to height restrictions however most people seemed to park at the back. After 5pm don't expect to get a space. Water pipes at were also loud throughout the building which could be annoying.

friendly and welcoming staff, location and views from our room were amazing. ideal hotel for value for money and not wanting anything too fancy when out and about exploring most of the time.

the room is dated which isn’t a bad thing, however cleaning in those “hidden” areas would be great (behind bedside tables and under the heaters etc. also couldn’t sleep with the AC on due to the noise but we left it on when out of the room and turned it off when we got back from our evening meal so all manageable.

we were happy with our stay at Irwin’s. the staff were so nice. the beds are so comfy. we came as a family of 5 with a dog. we got a 2 bedroom suite. our dog was provided his own bed and a bowl. everybody was comfortable. the kids had fun in the jaccuzi and sauna. the inn is in the center of the Banff avenue. walking distance to everything. we are reallt happy with our stay.

we like to bring some food with us. so it would be perfect if there was a toaster and electric kettle in the little kitchenette.

Well located on the main street in Banff. We were sorry that we only had one night in Banff as there is so much to do. Banff town is quite touristy almost Disneyland feel.to it, but beautiful location and it is a "must do" on any holiday in the area. Hotel is well situated and provides off-road parking.

Very expensive, but so are most of the places in this town. Rooms have a dated feel to them.

Location was very good. Cleaners are very honest and hardworking. We forgot our phone charger in our room and one of the cleaners came to us in the parking lot to give our phone charger back.

Pool should open early morning. 6 am - atleast 10 pm

Great location on Banff ave at the entrance. Easy walk to everything. Clean but smallest room. Free parking.

Travelling with a dog, we always get the worst rooms on the first level and worst view. This time it was facing yet another parking lot. We had to keep our drapes drawn the whole time. We are really starting to resent this as we always have to pay more for the room plus extra fee for the pet but always get the raw deal. The assumption is always that pets will be harder wearing on the rooms and louder when in truth some humans are far disruptive and inconsiderate.
