Nice quaint room, loved the jacuzzi tub, and how the hotel is right in downtown. The restaurant across the way is amazing too it’s called Earls. The bar downstairs had great service but not great chicken wings. Love how you couldn’t hear other guests so it was quiet but street noise is very loud because you’re in downtown.
Bed is pretty hard, and the street noise is loud. Wish there was a pool and that the staff was more friendly. The parking needs more options for being closer but isn’t bad. Wish the area felt a bit safer

The central location was a game changer for our mini-vacation. If that weren't enough, we had a view of the water, comfy reading chairs, and a working fireplace? We were able to do all the sightseeing we could want, walk to our choice of pubs in the evening, or take tea two doors over at Murchie's, yet come back to our room and relax with a good book. This may be our new favorite stay in Victoria to date.
In-room tea making could be improved. No one enjoys powdered Coffeemate in their tea, and 4-5 packets of sugar isn't enough for even two people for one cup each.

Location was at the heart of government street which is downtown. Rooms are clean, big and comfortable even this is an old building. They maintain it very very well. The best thing was easily accessible to everywhere.
The only thing about the car parking. We need the key card every time we wanted to park the car and need to return within 15 minutes which is totally inconvenient. Also the car parking was 2 blocks away from the hotel. Even though not a big deal for us, when it is raining, with your luggage, it is a little inconvenient.

The location for the price is great. Honestly this is one of those places that you are booking just because of how convenient it is, you have to be realistic and understand that you are not staying a the Ritz Carlton but we had a great sleep and the staff was kind and helpful. I do have to mention that we had the luck to stay on the 4th floor because there is a bar attached to the hotel, and I can see how if you stay maybe don't the first floor, you'd be disturbed by what's going on there.
Maaaaybe the parking lot system can be a bit better. I understand that there's not much to be done but it is a bit odd that it is 2 blocks away, and you need a card to get in most of the time, and then you have to give the card back right away.

Fantastic location! Easy to get to and from everything. We had the two bed room and it was much bigger than we expected! There was a sink in the bathroom and another one by the kitchenette.
A touch noisy in the morning due to some unexpected pressure washing outside but we are great sleepers so it was fine. The location is perfect so it lends itself to being a little noisier on the restaurant street if you have windows open. If windows not open then it’s very quiet.

The room was nice and very comfortable. I really liked how it was so central and great for getting around. Lots of places to eat and an easy walk to the water, Legislature, Fisherman's Wharf and many other sites. The staff let me keep my overnight bag in a locked room when I arrived too early for my room. They also kept my bag when I had to be out of my room but wasn't leaving Victoria until later that day.
It was noisy at night. Very loud music coming from the pub next door, a restaurant close by, late partyers on the pedestrian walkway. My room was on the 2nd floor and faced the front. Didn't get the complimentary newspaper each morning. Breakfast was not included.

Great location! Very quiet. Attentive and friendly staff. Cozy room. Nice to have a kettle in the room (many places forget a kettle and expect you to make tea in a coffee machine).
There was a chair in my room that was simply too large for the space. I had to keep moving it, depending on whether I wanted to go into the bathroom or walk up one side of the bed. It was just annoying.

Perfect location to stroll downtown Victoria, one block from seaside and surrounded by shops and restaurants. We loved the last old-times feel, with a colour scheme nostalgic of another era.
The heat didn’t turn on in the evening; was a bit cool. We were in room 11 which faces Government street, without earplugs, it may have been too noisy for some! Parking is two blocks away and has somewhat complicated access and hours. Not suitable for physically limited people that require parking.

This older hotel is all about location. It's right downtown, where all the action is. There's nothing fancy about this place. I stayed here because I was attending a conference, and it was basically just a room to sleep in at the end of the day.
The only staff I saw during my 3 days was the person who checked me in. The place felt deserted. It's also an old building, with a weird layout, so it feels a bit claustrophobic.

The location was perfect as it was close to many of the sites we wanted to see. The staff were very friendly. The room was clean and the beds comfortable. Having coffee, tea, and a fridge in the room were added perks as was the tea/coffee bar in the lobby. Merchies tea and bakery located in the hotel was a great place to grab a coffee, sandwich, dessert, or salad.
The street cleaners that started cleaning Bastian Square very early in the morning (prior to 5:00 am) woke us up and we couldn’t go back to sleep. The pub with the live music was loud but we were still able to fall asleep with it. We were tired.
